We started our day trying Chinese McDonalds for breakfast, before trying (and failing) to see some of Shanghai's museums. We then set off on the hunt for some famous soup dumplings but once again our plans were crushed. Instead we headed to Tianzifang to explore!

In the south China. We eat "you tiao" with soymilk.

In China, most museums are closed on Monday because they are running all the weekends.
You can actually dip/soak the dough stick (you tiao) into the porridge - that's how we Chinese eat it.
Chinese donut in Mcdo, only in China! Yummy options at the Hong Kong style restaurant :)

Museums in China are usually closed on Mondays instead of weekends cuz most people are free on weekends. Museum stuff then can adjust on Mondays.

Many services are closed on Mondays instead of Sundays as most people go to work on Mondays and they have more time visiting places and take a rest on Weekends when malls and stores can sell more.

That asian dough stick (youtiao) is usually eaten with the congee. Usually, I like to slice them to small bit, put them to congee and eat them together. Or usually, eat the youtiao by putting/ douse it into soy milk/coffee/capucino/chocolate.

How do you get around China using English maps? I had to use Baidu maps in order to get the proper public transport routes.
I used amap mostly and there is enough in symbols that I could understand how to use the public transport and such. :)

Haha! We know! 😀 But we love McDonald's and we had to find out some of the differences. We did try lots of other interesting foods on our trip through China! 😀
There are many kinds of breakfast in China. The taste of the south and the north of China are different.

It’s difficult to travel to China just by yourself due to the language and culture barrier ! Especially first time ! You guys are inspiring ! Encourage me to do more trips ... watching you navigating through 🇨🇳 is exhausting😹 and wish there were more people helping you but you two are great at solving problems and you are always in good spirit despite of the challenges xx
