❓ I just watched a video about completely weaning off of methadone, where an opioid addiction specialist said that even after youve weaned yourself completely off of methadone, there may be a 3-6-12 month period where your body has to relearn how to produce its own hormones(seratonin, dopamine etc), without which you may suffer depression and other mental maladies. He stated that naltrexone should be used during that 3-6-12 month period AFTER you've completely weaned off methadone, while your brain is not producing the proper amount of hormones(resulting in depression, anxiety etc). Does that make sense, and if so, how does naltrexone help reduce the depression and anxiety symptoms caused when your brain stops producing the relevant "feel good hormones"?
Hiya. What happens if I stop taking naltrexone and drinking moderately after 6 months? Does the craving go away forever, or do I just go back as before?
