Thank you! The track analysis was fabulous this week. So nice to have back to back Keyboard/Guitar solo interaction analysis. It was a GREAT idea. Thanks again. 7 stars is a minimum.

One of my all time favorite jazz songs. I love jammin to this on the drums. All of them are insane musicians but even back then when i wasnt really into jazz i noticed how awesome and different this guitar solo is from anything else ive ever heard before

The guitar is a Roland G-300 guitar synthesizer, not midi actually but only playable through its own synth Roland GR-300

No, this is a Synclavier Digital Guitar. Actually Pat plays with a guitar sound doubled with a saxophone sample or synthesis in a mix. It is very obvious when he plays upper frets, you can hear that digital sax buzz on the background. The same sound as on the "Song X" album with Ornette Coleman.

Methany didn’t gaf about what he wore here, he just killed his solo as usual. Hope to see you analyze his other solos with Cantelope Island.

This was great! Thank you! I have a suggestion: When pausing/resuming the music, use a quick fade to make transitions a bit smoother. Now excuse me while I run to the scarf-store

I believe this was 1992. Pat Metheny and PMG, were at the very pinnacle of their creativity and skill. Pat made a GREAT ALBUM with Jack deJohnette in 1990, Parallel Realities, one of my top 3 favorite Metheny works. I cry like a baby every time i see pat metheny play live from pure emotions. Been following Pat and PMG Since 1977..if i had to pick my god....

You should try this one one: ruclips.net/video/Xaf87fVp4q4/видео.html Herbie is on fire. What on earth would I do as a guitar player after that? Pat rises to the occasion, as usual.
