Same, for 20yrs my gums have been bleeding! I could literally suck on my gums and they would poor with blood, wake up with blood in my mouth etc, dentist just said i need to floss 😂 the last two weeks ive been taking vit c tablets, mainly for immune health, but i noticed my gums have stopped bleeding, when i suck on them now they dont bleed, so i googled it if there was a link between bleeding gums and low vit c, its shocking ive never been told this
Too much of anything is bad, especially for the liver. Also remember that cabohydrates and vitamin C must compete. The more carbs/sugar you eat, the more vitamin C you need. That is also why people who are on carnivore diet(0 carbs/sugar) get enough vitamin C without any fruits or vegetables, provided they eat a variety of things - especially organ meats.
if you have scurvy, that means you have developed the deficiency over many years. trying to fix with small portions here, and there is not so smart move. therapeutic dose (megadosing) works well in serious conditions.
since i was younger i had those red dots on my skin and i never knew what they where, not as severe as on the picture but more like a spot or 2 on my hand or on my arm and they come and go some stay for a couple of years then disappeard. But you say this could be due to vitamin deficiency? or could it be something else? And will taking vitamin C make them go away?
Damn I have just about every symptom here, from receding gums to joint pain and blood shot eyes for a long time now 10 years or more. I guess I'll start taking a vitamin c supplement now, I hope i'm not too late.... Also absorbic acid is the worst vitamin C you can buy.
So, Ive been watching alot of nutrition vids here on youtube lately, and at this point they all say the same symptoms for all the same deficiencies. I just get more lost the more I look into it. Not attacking this channel, I just dont get it.
It’s because your body needs these to survive and without them you will have issues with your body, ranging from joint pain to teeth issues. It’s all linked to proper nutrition
@@jobalogo383 like our body needs proper nutrition to survive, that’s why sailors got scurvy bc they didn’t have vitamin C. Just like if you don’t have vitamin D you can have joint pain etc, it’s all linked together as to what the body needs to survive, that’s why you should take your multi vitamins or eat right. It’s not that hard to grasp, or also the food groups chart is good too.

Exactly, carnivore here for 3 and half years, zero plants, zero vitamin C supplements, many carnivore docs 5, 10, even 20 years. Not taking any supplements. Zero scurvy. We also need of course vitamin C but when on zero or very low carb we need drastically less vitamin C. Answer lies in receptors that are shared with glucose. A lot of glucose in blood, a lot much vitamin C is needed. Personally taking some supplements, like magnesium, d3, k2, ... but checked (carefully and on purpose), zero vitamin C in my supplements. I'm not even eating liver for at least for year, more likely two. My only source of vitamin C is purely from meat, in average at least 350 grams per day. I could eat whole week just meat, salt, water, ... at other times I love eggs with cheese, butter, cheese, ... but in average I'm eating at least 350 grams of beef per day. Obviously enough vitamin C there.
@@Koozwad Never raw, always cooked, no pink inside, barely past that. Most of meat I eat if in form of burgers, patties or I make them from freshly minced meat.
@@mp7925 OK just remember nutrients do get lost when cooking. Of course more cooked = less nutrients. It differs per nutrient. Raw is best, but it's important to be aware of the sources. Thankyou for this video
Carnivore for 1.5 years and today, periodonist told me i have scurvy. Carnivore did not fix, it ruined my gums with c deficiency.
Can you have too much vitamin C? Like if someone has scurvy can they consume too much vitamin C to try to reverse it?

Going on carnivore diet will fix at least most of these issues anyway. Just eating fatty fish andd meats with natural fats in them... and water.
