Also, very impressive how Sharon can switch to that almost operatic way of singing at the end all the way down from her low register. They have been expressing messages about freedom of speech and such this since their third album with songs like "Stand my Ground", "The Heart of Everything" and "The Truth Beneath the Rose". So those are definitly worth checking out as well!
I was just on a Within Temptation and Evanescence concert in Zurich last Sunday and it was absolutly incredible. This Song Sharon perfomed while waving a giant Ukrain Flag. It was really powerful
The theme of justice runs through the fabric of their music. It has been evident as early as Silent Force and especially in some of the material in the Unforgiving... We ARE in a civil war, dont'cha know? Just one fought with ideas and words.
You should also watch the video of "Frozen", its also a really dark and deep story. And i also still love the song itself even without listening to the text, was on top of my playlist for maybe 5-6 years 😃 Its just more over fighting in small scale in the (abusive) family.
