Great video! We have Always enjoyed our layovers at Doha Intl Apt before connecting to the 01:30 flight to Male. It’s a great flight and allows for good re-energizing Power Nap before landing in paradise. We have always enjoyed great service and on time/early arrivals on this flight. Looking fwd to upcoming video series. 🎉🎉

Btw, from all the airlines you have shown us, I get the feeling The Emirates and Qatar seem to be consistently the best from what I can see. Such great experience and the food looks delicous!
So true. It is the opposite of our "Smart wings czech airlines" It is very expensive to travel with them, you get very low service and you do not even get any meal or drink for free even if you are on a mid-haul flight! Even when I flew with International Ukrainian Airlines few years ago I got at least a cup of water for 30 minutes long flight lol

One thing I hope you’re including your videos is an explanation of how you did your island-hopping from one resort to the next. Did you have to always fly back to the Capital, Male, or could you hop from one Island to another via speedboat? Another words, please include some details on the logistics of flying / sailing between each of those four resorts you will be covering over the next few weeks. Thank you!

As always, a great review by the Luxury Travel Expert himself! I flew on this exact plane, A7-BOC, from Istanbul to Doha, and I was sitting in the seat 17K, in front of your seat! The mashup of the Cathay hard product and Qatar soft product is a really good experience IMO. Hope you enjoyed your time in Male!

Love your Maldives videos. Please explain how to book 2 different island resorts when planning a holiday. In other words, must it be in the same athol? Or can it be further apart and how does the travelling between the 2 islands work?
When combining several resorts, I always try to select resorts within the same atoll (so boat transfers are possible). If not, you always have to backtrack via Male Airport
I have watched all of your videos from this region. I have never wanted to visit, it just did not entice me. But for some reason, this video brought to mind, yeah I would like to go. No idea what makes the difference this time around.
The fact that the cabin is "similar" to Cathay's is because those 777s were once flew with them. Qatar brings 4 ex-Cathay 777s to the fleet from December 2021 to February 2022, albeit keeping the seats from its former airline, and also selling its Premium Economy seats as Economy. It's also worth to mention that Qatar also get their hands on two ex-Virgin Australia 777s, and they also retains the seats from that airline.
I wonder why flared wing tips seem to have fallen out of favor again. For decades they aired documentaries on TV explaining how flared wing tips on airliners are great because they reduce turbulence and safe fuel and all that and now, all of a sudden, the newest generation of airliners don't seem to have them anymore.
If you’re talking winglets, it’s because Boeing discovered by changing the shape of the wingtip, you get the benefits of winglets but at a lower structural weight. Airbus applied a similar principle to the wings of the A350.

Fun fact all Maldivians have benn promised Indian citizenship if their beautiful land one day goes under water. I don’t know why their government chose India but that’s the arrangement.

Never eat sea food on planes. To be honest I don't eat any seafood anywhere. Only fish and that well cooked. An exception is octopus but well cooked, preferable fried or roasted.
After many years of watching these kind of videos I'm done! I don't enjoy them anymore because the content creators just continue doing the same product over and over again. I wish one creator would spend some time and energy flying really exotic and interesting airlines and routes. Thanks though, for your quality contributions ❤

It's probably his friend and I think there's a very simple explanation to it. The preview shows that next week we'll see a British Airways business class flight from London to the Maldives. The channel's owner is probably on that one. Let's be grateful we're getting more variety in the content. ;)
