Looks like BA has stepped up their game a bit.....very nice. My only issue with BA in the past had been the crew service. I'd like to check out this new Business Class.
Oh I love this. Air travel always feels so exciting and wonderful. Everything from being at the airport to the plane trip, landing, and being in a new place. Thank you!
This is a significant upgrade. One of my main issues with BA was the design of their business class where you had to climb over people if you wanted to get out of your window seat. This is more like the business class on Qatar airlines. Finally BA looks like they have made an effort to compete with the main carriers. I might be prepared to fly with them again as I usually avoid travelling with BA, unless I can't avoid it. As usual, another excellent report. I love the Maldives so I am looking forward to your next few reviews. 👍
I avoided BA as much as possible for many years (in premium cabins), but now they are reconfiguring some routes with much better business class I'm keen to fly with them again (and have done) as part of OneWorld and being based in UK.
I flew British Airways once, but it was back in the days when it was called BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation). It was when Brits were still counting their money by twelves, not tens. The UK entered the modern age by going decimal in 1971. I don't remember much about the service other than the fact it was very friendly. Lord, I'm really showing my age here.
Don´t worry James, I flew British European Airways (BEA) in 1972 from Berlin to London with a Comet 4B. I do not remember very much of this flight. My favorite plane is the A380 in business of Qatar Airways.
@@ashotofmercury They certainly didn't take their shoes off and then put their feet on top of the seat in front of them. I dread the idea of ever flying steerage, excuse me, economy class again.
Great stuff as always, LTE! I had opportunity to fly the updated Club Suite last year and was pleasantly surprised! At least imo, it felt like a nice improvement over the previous product.
I flew BA from Glasgow to London when I took my trip to the UK in 2019. I found them to be comparable to American Airlines here in the states ( which I consider just a step below Delta. It was a pleasant flight and crew was very helpful and friendly.
What a beautiful detailed video as always. I do keep track of where I am flying over when I fly. what a beautiful business class on British Airways. I am shocked that they did not provide pajamas and slippers. Also a little dingy on the toiletries from the white company and colgate none other an American brand toothpaste but a tiny tiny little toothpaste tube. Great landing on Male's international airport.
have flown BA since 1976 1st flight was a BAC trident edinburgh to london heathrow and the latest one was a b 777 to tampa florida last year, have always felt safe with british airways this new business class seats really have stepped up in my opinion must keep up with the middle east airlines like emirates which are fantastic
I am partial to the 747 but because my grandfather flew them as one of their top senior pilots for TWA back in the day. He flew the Polar route from SFO to LHR.
Looking into going to maldives after Christmas 2023.i can't wait to experience those views.good to see BA upping there game with people like emmerits snapping at there heels they needed to.another fabulous video. 😊

Happy Saturday! Beautiful video of the flight. I was so entranced when the plane took off the atmosphere in my headset made me feel almost as if I was there and my anxiety started! how funny but that is just a testament to how amazing your videos area. I would love to fly BA someday and definitely to the Maldives! More things to dream about. Every Saturday you bring the world to me in a way that I just truly appreciate and thank you for what you do!
Thanks for another informative and wonderful video. I don't have a favourite aircraft. The bigger the better for me. I think I've flown on Airbuses most. But the smaller short-haul ones unfortunately. I'm a teacher and have a couple of real aviation enthusiasts in my class. Imagine 13 to 14-year-old boys who instantly drop everything at the sight of a flying plane and start discussing it in great detail. We had our last day at school yesterday, they got their report cards and then I got to know they were off to the airport for a bit of plane spotting (they do that often and will even write a research paper on it next year). In about an hour I received a video of a British Air Force aircraft taking off from Tallinn Airport. Such fun. Love to see such interest and enthusiasm in young kids. Gives me hope for the future. 😁
Another great video detailing the product offered by BA. Certainly looking forward to the upcoming videos of the resorts you’ve named. What a magical place to visit. The views are stunning to say the least.
I flew the new Club Suites on a B777 from LHR to PHL in late March and absolutely loved it. I had to rebook my flight and was downgraded from First to Business. I thought I was getting the old Club World seats, but when I saw the new Club Suites, I was excited. I found it better than the First Class seats on both the B777 and B787. I especially enjoyed the privacy door, the leg room, direct access to the aisle, and pull out tray from under the IFE screen.
I flew BA a lot back in the '90s and early '00s. Their Business Class in the 747-400 was dreadful. First Class wasn't a whole lot better, and upgrades from Business between London and my home in Scottsdale (Phoenix) were really hard to come by. These new Business Class suites are better than the First Class seats in American's 777s of the time. I flew them twice per month from Chicago to Tokyo and then from London back to Chicago. I'd have loved to have these new Business Class suites as the First Class product back then. Happily retired and thankful I'm not still flying 300K to 400K miles per year.
@@TheMaartian Speaking of the B747. I’m flying First Class on a B747-8i from FRA to IAD in December. I’m really looking forward to my first and possibly only flight on a B747.

I like British Airways. Their cabin & tech crew are always very professional & polished. Catering in economy could always be improved. But overall a brilliant airline. Mostly punctual. Thanks for another spectacular vlog. Your Maldives footage was second to none!!!!! Well done 👍🏼

I’ve flown British Airways first class from Boston on the 747 and business class from Washington D.C, Bahrain, Dubai, Norway, Greece, Turkey. The service has been amazing but slightly slow on meals but other than that superb
Last week traveled with BA from LCY to Dublin. The business class or what they call Club Europa was pretty decent. Staff was very friendly and they kept me happy by providing extra bottles of wine without even asking for it haha :)!
In my mind British Airways may not be the top notch hardware airline, but the service always great. This new suite is really cool, taking window seats doesn't feel like "drill in the closet". And lesson learnt, flying to/ from Maldives, should take a window seat, the view is specular! Finally, thank you expert, cannot wait for the few weeks of hotel videos!

Dear British Airways (and other airlines), if you're going to charge me £1000s for a business class suite, don't charge me extra for Wi-Fi. Megabus throw in free Wi-Fi. Stop being cheapskates.
Hardly a comparison when installing wifi on an aircraft is totally different and the costs are extreme.. but if you’re paying business prices I sort of agree!
I love British Airways. Last June on the way to Denmark from LHR, my luggage was lost for 8 weeks. That included my brand new 4K drone, my brand new 4k camera and all my clothes, of course. I had a wonderful 10 Days in Denmark, and then my nephew and I flew home to Australia. When he was ready to leave 7 weeks later, my luggage arrived home, after hiding in LHR for 8 weeks. Amazingly, it was complete and untouched. Thank you British Airways. That was when EVERYONE lost luggage. Keep smiling.

As an aviation enthusiast, my fav part of any flight is the view out of the window. These seats would not be ideal for viewing. I'd much rather save a lot of money and get a pure window seat in economy. Oh, and my fav passenger plane is the glorious (but gradually disappearing...sadly) Boeing 757.
