Good to see your heading back to the Fuji camp.
NZ is such a gorgeous place, envy!
Man, I used to have such a poor opinion of Fuji cameras for a while purely because my dad was the only Fuji shooter I knew and he loved those film simulations with the saturation at +100 looking like the wallpaper to a Samsung phone LOL. My opinion definitely changed a few years ago, and your images are 100% proof that Fuji has some killer sensor tech and processing that won't hold back a pro, but might even offer additional inspiration during editing or make your workflow easier. As someone firmly in the Sony camp for the foreseeable future, I'm very interested to see where Fuji takes you!
Classic haha yeah I mean Sony definitely has some benefits over Fuji. Like auto focus mostly but Fuji definitely having something a little special
Well done video, love the photos! 🤙
Love the pictures. How did you solve the sharpening issue in Lightroom with fuji raw files? I'm also thinking about the x-t5 and it was kinda deal breaker for me.
I didn’t do anything about it eh. We tried that dxo software and that 100% fixed the issue but the extra step is a bit of a hassle. Not sure if we will use it or not yet
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer you didn't like C1? I find it infinitely better than LR for demosaicing those xtran files and the new AI masks (although limited) are actually more accurate than LR.
The Lightroom's new AI Denoise with the "Raw Enhance" with it solves the x-trans worms issues completely. After using it you can sharpen the images as much as you like without the dreaded worms. Suggest you to try it out. It was one of the reasons I dared to jump back to Fuji this year, after using only Sony for 5 years.
what filters were you using for the film setup? Thanks!
Promist 1/4
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer Personal opinion but I find the (fashion) effect very marked, at night it can be nice, or on portraits, but in small doses
Just came from your Sony A7iv video. Now I am conflicted hahah
Both are amazing systems. Don’t think because I switched you need to. Use whatever camera feels more fun to use
hello how are you I would like to have the name of the beach thank you in advance.
the video is magnificent I live in Guadeloupe and I would like to come to New Zealand, so I will find out a little
Sure it’s Bethells Beach
Damn, beat me to it. Working on my video now. Like and subscribe and all that stuff.
Don’t trust him it’s a scam
At what f Stop are you Shooting Video. I thought Fuji Autofocus isnt that good.
Wide open mostly. I know people keep saying that I’m not sure what they are doing different tbh. I find the focus is really good. Not quite was Sony is. Maybe 85% as good as Sony.
I recently bought a XT30 Mk 2 and I really loved the experience (as a Sony shooter). Since yesterday the camera isn't working anymore (lens error, shutter doesn't work...). Now I've read, that this is a well known Fuji problem. Not very reliable, as the camera is in a perfect condition. Bought the cam used, so no warranty.
But nevertheless, your images look fantastic 🎉
What a shame to hear. I have a Fuji X-E1 here (made in Japan), never had any problems considering its age.
I know people who got a secondhand car, it broke down. I know people who got a brand new car, it also broke down. Sony, Nikon, canon, Leica all break down. My TV broke down.
@@r423sdex that's not what I meant. I'm fully aware, that everything can break down - especially when buying used gear. My point is, that this lens error is apparently a known issue with all sort of Fujis. And therefore I don't find it very reliable, if issues aren't solved, after several years and different models.
Not sure about the model you used for this Chris 🫣
Limited talent in Auckland eh
Hi Chris, the link to your New v4 presets goes to your CTM v3 site.
Thanks mate I’ll fix that
Do you have any F-Log Luts? Your video work looks awesome.
I’m so yeah this is my new one. Just refining it a bit
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer awesome!
Hey Chris.
The Ibis doesn't seem to be as good as on the Sony A7 IV? Dynamic range is probably not at the same level either?
I consider the Sony A7c II instead the X-T5, as it is small and light.
I’d say it’s comparable to Sony in terms of stability but the Sony ibis is a little smoother
