I have a stelvio and the voice command works perfectly fine, maybe just coincidence with this video. Once you drive the stelvio for a while the infotainment system is quite easy to use. Its a great car.
@@tux-4713 Only one problem with the catalytic converter but other than that I am loving it. I believe they corrected the problem on 2019s and forward. It's holding up better than a buddys 2016 bmw x3.
From the sound, I got the impression he was turning away from the car's mic and towards his own mic for the video. So the car would have just hrard a muffled voice. I've never heard a single complaint about the voice control, and seen another video where it worked perfectly fine.
There are actually car reviewers who are paid to talk nonsense and bad things about certain brands that don't pay them or don't pay them enough as opposed to other brands which are more generous in that matter.
Alfa makes the best 4 cylinder I’ve ever driven. This guy is like the only person I’ve ever heard that hates on the drivability... Alfa’s are made for drivers. That’s why you take these reviews with a grain of salt. And with him, maybe a half grain of salt
@@soulfulmoodstring62 He spent more time going on about the comfort entry/exit function, than it actually takes to turn it off in the infotainment system!
Yeah it’s not as popular as a Q5 or the X3, but I think part of the charm of owning one is that you can really surprise people with your vehicle. It is a gorgeous underrated suv that is for people who want something different.
Exactly. And most owners wouldn't want everyone else to own one. BMW started that way, everybody wanted one because they wanted to feel special, so they brought out a million different models and now they're as common as dirt.
I've had this car for a few years now and I love it. The reason I bought the Stelvio is that the handling on it was second to none. The only one that could compare was the Porsche Macan, but we liked the interior more in the Stelvio. Also, I didn't get it to relax. I bought it because it's a performance vehicle that also has cargo room. This guy has no credibility.
As an Stelvio owner I must say the same, its been absolutely brilliant over the 80km already, didnt have a single issue only all this time. Handling is just amazing better than Macan and X3 my frends had them until they drove my car 😂 reviewer you are clueless
I stopped watching after he said...the steering is quick and responsive, but its not something you would expect from a luxury SUV. What??? I test drove this vehicle...made for driver. Clearly this guy is not!
@@TheDrewJohnsonExperience That is exactly WHY I bought a Stelvio! I had a Giulia on order & family circumstances changed & we needed an SUV! The STELVIO was perfect, looks & feels & DRIVES like a Giulia!! SUV history SUX! Long live STELVIO!
@@TheDrewJohnsonExperience You really are opinionated and quite pretentious man. Do a better job or get another job. Watched enough videos to know when I'm watching idiocies.
@@TheDrewJohnsonExperience Well now you have one. Seriously, this isn't about the car, it's about you just not understanding why people buy an Alfa. THe QV holds the speed record for an SUV at Nurburgring by the way.
I just bought yesterday my SECOND Stelvio, I tried pretty much EVERY SUV in the market before going for the second one and i noticed that no one else gives you the same bang for your buck, I love it, minor issues with the radio on the first one and that was pretty much it.
Bought a new 2022 Stelvio Quadrifoglio recently....the BEST vehicle I have ever driven/owned. That includes multiple Audi, BMW, Mercedes and a Porsche Cayenne. The 'driving sensations....the 'feels', are unparalleled.
I'd do more research before making such statements. Alfa sold 2600 cars last month, sure nothing major but not bad considering a 2 model line and new to market. They've caught up to Jaguar and are increasing steadily
You're right, last month was both nothing major and not bad, but I don't think that's what Alfa is shooting for. Sergio really wants Alfa Romeo to be a mainstream luxury brand like Mercedes, Audi and BMW, and it's just not happening so far. The Giulia is still outselling the Stelvio, which is very strange in today's market. Last month was the Stelvio's first month over 1,000 sales -- we'll just have to wait and see if Alfa can build on that momentum to even come close to the segment leaders.
Drew, I think the reality for Alfa Romeo is that it needs to be different in order to bring in buyers seeking something other than the already established vanilla offerings from the German or Japanese manufacturers. Why would a buyer opt for an Alfa Romeo over a German premium brand if it only offers a product with identical 'soft' driving dynamics? Alfa has always been a niche player in the market because it's always been for driving enthusiasts not comfort seekers, even in its home market of Italy it's sold in fewer numbers than the German competition. The poor build quality history of Alfa didn't help it win over the majority of enthusiast drivers which is the space that BMW conquered. However, by all accounts, BMWs have softened their driving dynamics to appeal to a bigger audience, which has alienated those that historically loved BMWs for their sharp driving dynamics. This is the space that Alfa is moving into. Also, I don't think that Alfa has to sell millions of units to justify its existence, as part of the FCA conglomerate, it's only being set up to compete in a few of the lucrative sectors, while the German brands are obsessed with creating dozens of models and niches. I'm pretty sure that Sergio Marchionne had once said that his goal for Alfa was to achieve about 10% of Mercedes' sales numbers but I do hope that Alfa does bring out a few more models.
Juan Varela for the reason you mentioned. Its different. I spoke to a guy at a car wash with a brand new Stelvio and asked him about it. He was considering a Q5 but when he drove the Stelvio he was blown away. The Audi couldn’t compare to the Aflas driving dynamics. Where I live, everyone drives a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, or Porsche SUV. The ones that are even better off, roam the streets in their Lambos, Bentleys, Astons, etc. People who buy these cars, as well as something like a Ghibli or Levante don’t want to get a German car that will blend them in with everything else on the road. They buy one of these or something British like a Jaguar. Alfa is just starting their return and it will take time just like it did for Maserati to expand their dealership networks. Its only been a year since these two models were released and this dude doesn’t understand the concept of baby steps.
Dino Pappous People will buy it because its different from the popular Germans and its Italian. It also helps to consider them as the affordable Ferraris. If nothing, it will pull what Maserati did and gain a status.
I have mixed reactions concerning your review. First off, I totally agree that brand recognition is a huge problem. One that FCA management must not understand and is not addressing. I've had my Stelvio since the end of October. Most people I know think it's some sort of exotic Italian brand akin more to Ferrari or Maserati than to Audi or BMW in price point. It doesn't help that at auto shows, FCA placed the Stelvio and the Giulia on an inaccessible stage instead of on the floor where people could climb in and out of them....and see the base price. As far as the handling goes, I agree that the brakes can be difficult to modulate, worse when the car isn't warmed up. You get used to it. And they stop really well when you need them to. That fantastic steering? That's what sets the Stelvio apart from the competition. Yes, most soccer Mom's are perfectly happy droning along in the tamer German crossovers, but tossing the Stelvio around in turns is as much fun as you can get in a crossover. I might be a niche buyer, but I appreciate having performance akin to a Giulia, but with the practicality of more room and storage. The infotainment system is a weak spot, but honestly, it grows on you. That "cheap wheel" is actually quite useful. I can easily switch across favorites and channels using it with minimally taking my eye off the road. The voice control is horrendous, but Siri will make phone calls if you have the "hey Siri" feature enabled. One more quibble with your review: the engine. I disagree with your assessment. I think Alfa did a fantastic job of making it very tame and drivable around town, and a beast when you mash it. Just the observations of a simple peasant who has put 10,000 problem free miles on his Stelvio and loves it as much today as he did when he bought it. But the brand is doomed if FCA doesn't wake up, smell the coffee and get the word out about what the price points are. What the competition is. What an Alfa Romeo is. And that it is reliable. Even how to say the "Alfa Romeo" Maybe it should be shortened to just Alfa in US marketing.
Hey Tim, all fair points. If you like fast and responsive steering, the Stelvio certainly is the crossover for you. For this video I was trying to take more of a 10,000 foot view, basically looking for the reasons that might be holding Stelvio sales back. If you look at the numbers, they are pretty bad -- sales are rising but the Giulia is still outselling the Stelvio. You hit the nail on the head with the niche thing, and I think that goes along with brand recognition. The Macan is sporty so some people buy it for that reason, but most people just buy it because Porsche is perceived as a luxury brand. With Alfa, you really only have people buying it for its sporty nature, and that's a dwindling base these days. Unless Alfa can establish itself as a semi-mainstream luxury brand, I'm not sure their future is all that bright. I love Alfa and truly hope they make it, but in order to survive I think they are going to have to mix in some more plain vanilla. I know enthusiasts don't like to hear that, but BMW is able to make the M3 because they lease so many basic X3s. I really appreciate your viewership and thoughtful comment. Hopefully you'll stick around for my future videos so we can continue this discussion!
I’m considering the Giulia or the Stelvio. Is there a reason why you chose the Stelvio? Drew made a fair point - if you want sporty, might as well get the Giulia.
@@Wasabi9111 I had a Giulia on order, family circumstances changed & my wife could no longer get into a seat so low to the ground. She had ridden in a Giulia several times, she doesn't drive. When we test drove the Stelvio so asked, 'What's the difference?'. She couldn't tell & neither can I. When I take my Stelvio in for scheduled maintenance I usually get a Giulia, the only difference is that I have trouble getting in & out, too! The additional cargo space is GREAT!
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best value SUV on the market. I can not fault performance, handling and safety. This is our third Alfa (147, Giulietta Qv and Stelvio) and my wife and I have loved each and every one of them.
This guy is on CRACK! I just turned in my BMW 4 series for a Stelvio, WOW what a upgrade! The SUV is great! the steering is amazing! the power is great ! drives better than that 4 series , yeah the infotainment need a little work , but who cares, play your music and drive thats the real fun. FYI Drew, Audi was a unreliable car in the 80's and 90's worst than alfa
It's funny he said the engine is peaky like old turbo engines when it has 306lb ft of torque from 2200-5800RPM, the opposite of peaky. Hes not really a car guy so hes probably confusing the short gear ratio of the ZF8 transmission revving up quickly with the engine being peaky, lol.
Okay so when I started seeing these cars zipping around and I saw the logo but didn't know what it was, that felt really exclusive and creates a desire. I love that they don't have their name slapped all over it. I finally found out what it was when a friend of mine purchased one.
Sounds like you missed my review on the Giulia Quadrofoglio. Be sure to check it out! I think the Quadrifoglio drives better than the M3 (although its interior isn't as nice). ruclips.net/video/rpxz5pqUwjI/видео.html
You must be fools! Mine is amazing to drive… the handling, ride acceleration all show you their unbelievable racing heritage. And the sound system is amazing!
Maybe they made the boot closing process like that intentionally, for safety, in case you stopped pressing down the button because there was someone or something you might hurt/damage.
Only good thing is that they almost all come with red guts & extremely stylish exterior capitalizing on the cross-over trend to match up with bmw & benz you gotta do what they aren't put more metal parts under the hood make your cars more reliable less plastic & well be able to accept the infotainment center as long as the sound system is booming no1 will care more metal parts under the hood you'll be able to charge a bit more love the circle wheel design btw thats a banger maybe add a champagne holder 4 seat option for extra $1k
I just bought a new 2022 Stelvio sprint. It handles better than most cars. It is absolutely fantastic!

You have to keep button of closing the trunk due to safety reasons. Driver might not see from his place what happens at the trunk eg someone still loading it. Making you keep the button still improves reaction time to stop closing immediately.
Dude you are out of your mind. Alfa Romeo stelvio is selling like crazy without one ad on TV. I bought the Ti and it’s 100%better than my Porsche Cayenne . Your review is a joke and you deserve a thumb down.
Also he forgets that Audi and BMW have far more dealers and are much longer established as an SUV manufacturer. I think they even have manufacturing plants in or around the US. Alfa have more, smaller models in Europe (search for the MiTo and Giulietta) that would be considered too small for most Americans, so they're never going to compete, or rather shouldn't be expected to, on a one-to-one basis with just two models.
Good points especially the first. 2nd they did over inventory the dealers before reintroducing the brand and taking their place in the market. 3rd I love the infotainment system because Alfa Romeo knows that if your car is measured by tech, then it’s only as good as the most recent. Apple and android changes iOS systems by the hour, and the cars that carry them gets dated as fast as their cell phones. With the system that Alfa Romeo is using leaves the relevance and currents - ness to the vehicle. So a luxury Audi and a eco Honda Accord has the same infotainment system dilutes Audi’s (which by the way are just VW’s) luxury and unique position over cars like the Honda as to why it costs more. Alfa Romeo’s system will never really get old because it’s not competing with other systems, it offers usability for the driver and it knows it’s not an iPhone. It keeps the vehicle in its place sorta speak. As soon as you get in a car and want to see the cell phone features, your not an Alfa Romeo customer. As soon as you get and a car, to drive it, the you are. #WeAreAlfisti
ALSO ...lack of dealer network! ...they shove these with 'stock-up' Maserati dealers that look down on folks shopping entry level AR, or they put them up with Fiat dealers - the opposite situation. But I'm very glad they're here no matter what.
At the dealer where I bought my Stelvio, I am treated great. I have not seen a Ghibli owner treated any better. The GM talks to me every time I'm there!
Some of the stuff like the handling and the ''feel'' of the car are highly subjective... and yet you make it as if it is a fact. Seems more like a hater review than a real one.
Hey bro, honestly we can talk about the infotainment ( now they improved it, and there's also Android Auto and Apple Carplay availability) , the exterior&interior of the car (subjective...), but PLEASE when you talk about: 1) Engine 2) Gear 2) Suspensions 3) Brakes 4) Chassis 5) Q4 AWD powertrain system there's NO other SUV right now in the market that comes close to the Stelvio. When I see an Alfa Romeo go by, I tip my hat - Henry Ford
Compleatly agree with you, and also I think it is very handy to operate the infotaiment system throught taht wheel, and in my opinion it is very easy to use and find everything you want.
@@dave9282 Agreed, and very little said about the main points of the car. Who buys a car based on the infotainment system and the power tailgate. Seriously?

Thanks for the video but I think he missed the whole point. 1) Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia use Ferrari engines that’s why those models are referred to as mini Ferrari’s. Guys Ferrari engines on a normal sedan and crossover. This guy is no mechanic or engineer nor professional in the sector if he is then he has been bought to say those things otherwise it makes no sense..You will read of no well renowned professional in the sector talk shit about Giulia and Giulia except for the infotainment. Even Doug de Muro remained flabbergasted. 2) Alfa cars have incredible steering handling and stability.I have pushed mine on the highway and guys my car remained steady and it handles incredibly perfectly at curves in high speed. I love German cars especially BMW and Mercedes but I must admit Italians know how to make sporty cars better than Germans It’s very true in the US most American don’t recall the brand, it’s true Alfa spend very less on quality materials and technology wise they are far behind their counterparts but under the hood it’s very well known that BMW, WV,MERCEDESE AUDI can’t compete. In the review he didn’t even mention the Alfa DNA. The more I keep writing the more I realize this guy doesn’t know much about cars. Alfa Giulia and Stelvio have been confronted to same models produced by their competitors AUDI,BMW, Mercedes,WV, the Italian brand beat all 4 in driving, steering, stability acceleration and speed.. unfortunately Alfa is not investing a lot in the brand and in advertising but when they make cars trust me it’s fire. Now they are trying to catch up the the Stelvio 2020 and Giulia 2020 . This guy must be jokin, I have never heard the BMW use the Lamborghini engine in their low level sedan or suv. How can you talk about reliability of a car when under the hood you have engine together with some of its components coming from FERRARI? He said in Italy there is what ? “A small part of Italy...” ? Bro if you don’t live in Europe like us and you know nothing about Italy stop telling lies in your video. Can you please name one brand that has never hard problems ? Mercedes has had, BMW,AUDI all German brands.I bought mine 2 years ago and I’m in my 3rd year of ownership and have never had a problem nor any breakdown.
Lets not forget it's among the safest SUVs on the market! Me and my mom quite literally tested the safety ratings after being hit by a vehicle going over 60mph and we left with very minor injuries!
Hey thanks for the review. I owned a Spider a way back when so I'm familiar with the mark. As far as this model goes you made some excellent points about where this should be and why it's not. I was was looking for an enjoyable vehicle to drive but it seems to have many quirks that would be annoying for me. The Idea that it comes in a 4 cylinder also didn't help. I'm in the market for a used SUV type and this review just helped me to knock the Stelvio off my list. The XT5 with a non turbo 6 more room among other items may not be as much fun to drive but it all comes out to be a balancing act.
Everyone complains about the infotainment. Does anyone realize it’s the same as Mazda. Not sure I hear as many complaints by auto reviewers about them.
I think someone should tell him how many Audi’s are in the storage lots waiting for the dealers to call on them. It’s a well known tactic car companies use to make us think there’s low inventory thus they are selling well.
I like the Alfa Romeo emblem on the front. And they are trying to develop their brand recognition. It has its flaws but it sure is FUN to drive and it caters to a certain type of person.
I think this is a terrible review. Alfa Romeo is a drivers car. Nervous steering is the most ridiculous statement you can say about this car. The sound system is great and I believe any one who looks at this car should pull the trigger and buy it!
I disagree with you on look, i have vw alltrack and planning to trade in for this till I find out that their oil change cost between $200- $300. Am i getting wrong information? That's crazy price for oil change.
This is nonsense. Who is this guy he is talking crap. Doesn't seem to know what an Alfa Romeo is. Hard to find Stelvio's in the Uk because they are so good. Best SUV on the market.
Seriously dude, you know nothing. 😒!!! My Stelvio is smoking hot, reliable, fun to drive, drop dead gorgeous and unique. Every person who's been in it is blown away.
The real reason Alfa's are not selling is that they do not have a good propaganda program, like Toyota. The worst car I've ever owned in my entire 66 year life was my 1980 Toyota supra (new camshafts at 35,000 and dropped a valve at 115,000. Then there's my daughter's 2rz big time oil burner). My '79 Alfa Spyder was great once I got it to a decent mechanic (not the idiot dealer).
I just brought one 26 year old black male i love the exclusivity that comes with this . And the 2.0 liter engine is a gem! Loads of power blows the doors off so many different cars and it’s the base engine ! The suspension is one of the best rids like a Cadillac of yesteryear but still corners like it’s on rails
I’m at 28 year old black male trying to see what’s best to get can you give some insight my guy? I’m looking at 2018-2019 Alfa ti sport for $28,500 or a 2019 BMW X3 m40i or jaguar f pace all at 35k miles under $30,000 what would you recommend?
@@LivingOutYourDreamsTV well a few factors you should consider. Does interior room matter the stelvio is very tight inside and there are some nuances that can be irksome. The brake pedal will take some getting used to it's very touchy. Do you want something luxurious as the Stelvio is more sport less luxury you might feel as though you've been let down as the X3 and the F pace would feel more like a luxury sport SUV . Also the Stelvios AWD system is not very good in the snow it tends to struggle to stay on track. Personally I would go with F pace.
You got it all wrong mister. The Stelvio is not an SUV for the people that want to relax and enjoy the luxury inside. Those should look perhaps for the common German stuff. The Stelvio is an SUV with proper focus on the "S" part of the "SUV" category. It's an SUV for people that actually enjoy driving.
The Drew Johnson Experience Yes, of course it is. :) But I must add that It’s a very common opinion amongst people that particularly enjoy cars and driving. The Stelvio dynamic behavior is top class. It doesn’t feel like an SUV as you might have noticed. The interior quality is more than good enough, especially in the the new 2020 models. For people less focused on cars and the pleasure of driving, then they should look for the usual options. Also because when they have problems with Germany reliability, they accepted it either as natural or bad luck. If they get problems with an Italian drive, they’ll conclude they should’ve known better.
From January to September 2018, the brand has delivered 9,044 Stelvios in the United States, 8,933 examples of the Giulia and 183 units of the Alfa 4C in the same period. What is your problem?
The problem for Alfa Romeo is that the people really do not care about the real car qualities.....they just prefer to have a nice navigator instead of a double wishbone suspension.
Dude, you can't use a KNOB!?! Works perfectly in my car. Turn knob, selector goes up and down. Press to select. Can't get any simpler. My voice recognition works too, if I use an Italian accent. No joke.
Exactly! Very well said! It's the easiest infotainment system to use of any car that I've driven, and it kicks the crap off of any touch screen EVER for vehicle use. I've driven all of its competitors over the last 3 years and one drive in the Alfa compltely convinced me to buy it.
The best drivers SUV i have personally driven, esp in this price point! Yeah some others do luxury better, but no where near as enjoyable to drive and good to look at. Alfas have a soul and want to be driven! They put a smile on your face and i have driven a lot of nice cars that are "cold" in driver feel. as far as a Alfista not wanting to own a crossover, it is surprising comparable to the handling of the Giulia and you can drive the heck out of them around turns. " the reason BMW dosent put the m3 sterring in a 3 series" Alfa did it right and built the Quadrifoglio first then the 4 Cyl. THe sound that come out of a Quad...eargasam! BAD REVIEW
jwhoward3611 Absolutely agree with this. Best SUV I’ve ever driven. Bar none. It really does have a soul. And you can’t beat it for the price, and the deals are good on them right now. No brainer if you want an enthusiast SUV imo. I get excited just looking at one.
This car does everything it was made to do, you have no sense of racing Alfa Romeo is a 106 year old racing car company. If you don’t respect this brand and what it stands for don’t review their cars. I personally am a racing driver and for an suv that handles like this does and still have everything you need in a car and more. Besides the entertainment is perfect the 2018 Stelvio has the hardware to have Apple carplay and Android Auto just not all of them have it installed.
If you watch my Giulia video I think you'll find that I do have a sense for the company and its history! ruclips.net/video/rpxz5pqUwjI/видео.html I'm a big Alfa fan, I just was not impressed with the Stelvio. I'm just a normal person, so I wanted normal steering, brakes, acceleration, etc. You are a racing driver so you want racing steering, brakes, acceleration, etc. And that's OK! Different people are going to like different cars. Unfortunately for Alfa, there are far more people that just want a car than want a sporty car. I'm still pulling for them to make it, though.
You better start learning to drive a real car my dear. Not the American stuff with a lot of power and no tracking stability. You seem a bit too young to drive a car like this. The stearing, the brakes, the motor, the ZF ... are perfectly working together with the Alfa DNA and the driver. This car sticks on your hands and feet. The Stelvio is the best ánd most beautyfull SUV on the road. Keep on learning! One day, when you grow up to a real driver, you will appreciate the combination of the looks, the power and the finest precision of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
Missed the point completely - Has no idea why we love Italian cars. Drew, maybe I can introduce you to a n ice Equinox bland appliance with no personality. Might fit your style to a tee !
Of course, you had to know you were going to get killed by Alfa enthusiasts. I test drove the Stelvio, the BMW X-3 and the Mazda CX-5 Signature. I even surprised myself when I ended up buying the Mazda. I thought for sure when I started shopping that I would end up with the BMW, but my head overcame my heart. One of the many reasons I bought the CX-5 was because it had great handling with amazing torque....52 lbs more that the BMW!!! Even with the a/c running it feels like a small block V-8 with no feeling of being strained from a standstill. The BMW also handled well and had the advantage of being a little roomier, but I didn't like the long hood. It also is and felt heavier. The Stelvio was actually quite nice to drive. It's also the best looking of the three and I wanted to buy it, but there were too many drawbacks that had to be overlooked and lived with. For a long term purchase I wasn't willing to accept them. And resale value will probably be terrible. Also, the engine puts out a lot of power for such a small engine. I suppose that means a lot of turbo boost and strain on the engine. However, the Stelvio does deliver on exclusivity as I only see around one a day on my daily 45 mile drive. I was able to sharpen up the Mazda's handling even further by installing a strut brace that I bought on Amazon for $130....fits perfectly. The Alfa and the BMW come with braces from the factory. In about a year I will upgrade the tires for another step up in handling. If one buys by looks and performance alone they will probably buy the Stelvio. But I want an suv that is highly competent in other areas as well. Of course, I must say that the loaded Mazda cost about $20K less which was difficult to ignore.
At that point why not just get sedan if u care about handling ? I think Alfa handles better to be honest but my Mazda 6 is my daily and I feel u on that Mazda has a soul lol
Just look how many people complain on your review, so everybody is wrong and you are right? Hahah dude, change your profession... or redo the review the right way, this is embarassing.
If you're under 30 in the USA, you've likely never seen one, remember. And he's in KY - I don't think I've seen an Alfa on the road here, and I'm near the 2nd largest city in the state.
And yes, there is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you look to the left of the 12V power outlet, there is a USB port. Use a cord that goes to your phone and you will need to set your phone up for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay which should only take about a minute. Afterwards, you will be able to access apps like iHeartRadio, Waze, and more
You're contradicting yourself in the review. Complaining about the fast and sporty steering in a luxury SUV, in which people just want to relax and "enjoy the leather". Then complaining there is no 350 bhp model, presumably to go even faster than the 5-ish seconds to 60 of this one. It's very hard to enjoy the leather at those speeds, buddy. Make up your mind.
Sorry but your review is simplistic. May be you got too used to popular suv’s. Alfa is something different, away from the masses. It delivers performance and beauty.. who cares about the cup holders or anything like that. Think outside the box alfa is uniqueness and driving experience. America got too spoiled with elements in a car that can help you be very comfortable, and that’s how many american cars and people are oriented.
So you're calling a mid-size crossover "something different"? Sorry to break it to you, but it is not. If Alfa wanted to be different, why not make some kind of rear-wheel drive hatchback instead of an SUV that will never handle properly? Alfa needs to either be special or very competent at building a product at least as good as the Audi, BMW and Mercedes of the world. And right now they are doing neither.
I think this guy must be working for the Audi dealership down the street. Sorry buddy, I have three close friends who drive the Stelvio and all three love their ride. You got more than three times thumbs down on your review than thumbs up....I think you got more to worry about than Alfa Romeo.
This was 4 years ago and I just saw this now. Some of the complaints and observations are valid, but perhaps Alfa has addressed some of them. Our 2002 handles like a sports car with great steering, comfortable ride no issues with brakes, no turbo lag, and even a touch screen and Apple car play. . And maybe our area (Long Island) is not a representative sample, but you cannot drive 5 minutes without seeing several Stelvios. Not that everything is perfect: The standard 6-way power front seats don't provide enough adjustment and support.
Typical Alfa , definitely has flaws ,but it's the probably best driving suv in class ,and easily the best design ,alfa never misses with driving experience and design ,but the fuck up on other things .I tried a lot of suvs from bmw Also wtf people never heard of alfa romeo ,I mean how the could you not know about alfa romeo ,even if you dont care about cars
Man -- I've helped 3 of my BMW friends convert to Alfas. Two Stelvios and one Guilia. I'd get an Alfa is they made an affordable Coupe that had comfort, not just a track car. I still love the 4C. And -- who the F! In Kentucky is buying Alfas???? Your argument is like comparing Kentucky Benz Sales to Manhattan Benz sales and saying the GLC/GLE is a slow seller. Good job.
Aside from the fact I LOVE a driver’s car, the fact that the masses are unaware of this brand is one of the biggest reasons I’m buying one.

I didn't see one single thing in this review that actually made sense. "Nervous steering?" There are only nervous drivers, no nervous steering.
There are actually car reviewers who are paid to talk nonsense and bad things about certain brands that don't pay them or don't pay them enough as opposed to other brands which are more generous in that matter.

How in the world x3 can be popular??
Yes i actually want one, it seems sporty
I've had this car for a few years now and I love it. The reason I bought the Stelvio is that the handling on it was second to none. The only one that could compare was the Porsche Macan, but we liked the interior more in the Stelvio. Also, I didn't get it to relax. I bought it because it's a performance vehicle that also has cargo room. This guy has no credibility.

Reliability issues as stated in this video!
Does your first alfa romeo burn oil? The common problem of turbo engine is burning oil
Do you want to revisit your proclamation? Alfa sold 1,150 cars last month, so about that steadily increasing thing.....
this video is a joke.
@Hasan Qamar Would love to review a Peugeot!
@@TheDrewJohnsonExperience I had a 505 Turbo for a decade and absolutely loved it!
@@TheDrewJohnsonExperience You wouldn't know how to review a kid's tricycle.

If you’re looking for perfect infotainment system go to buy another boring suv
really... we have one ... traded a BMW for an Alfa and the GM at one of the local dealerships is my buddy.. and they do not have many in stock...
Hey bro, honestly we can talk about the infotainment ( now they improved it, and there's also Android Auto and Apple Carplay availability) , the exterior&interior of the car (subjective...), but PLEASE when you talk about:

2) Alfa cars have incredible steering handling and stability.I have pushed mine on the highway and guys my car remained steady and it handles incredibly perfectly at curves in high speed. I love German cars especially BMW and Mercedes but I must admit Italians know how to make sporty cars better than Germans
It’s very true in the US most American don’t recall the brand, it’s true Alfa spend very less on quality materials and technology wise they are far behind their counterparts but under the hood it’s very well known that BMW, WV,MERCEDESE AUDI can’t compete.

Well that's like, your opinion, man.

Yes, of course it is.

But I must add that It’s a very common opinion amongst people that particularly enjoy cars and driving.
How reliable is it. Isn't the brand on the low end overall?

360 view camera missing ?
Just look how many people complain on your review, so everybody is wrong and you are right? Hahah dude, change your profession... or redo the review the right way, this is embarassing.
You mean Americans never heard of Alfa Romeo ??? 🙄
"he asked me if Alfa Romeo was a new car brand."
Jeez, Americans...
If you're under 30 in the USA, you've likely never seen one, remember. And he's in KY - I don't think I've seen an Alfa on the road here, and I'm near the 2nd largest city in the state.
@@epbrown01 I didn't mean in terms of seeing one but in terms of racing pedigree. Alfa Romeo is one of the most iconic names in racing
And yes, there is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you look to the left of the 12V power outlet, there is a USB port. Use a cord that goes to your phone and you will need to set your phone up for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay which should only take about a minute. Afterwards, you will be able to access apps like iHeartRadio, Waze, and more
CarPlay and Android Auto were not available at the time of my review.
You can’t compare Alfa Romeo sale stats with Audi’s.
The like to dislike ratio says everything you need to know about the Stelvio. This dude has the worst take ever.
The only thing I agree with is the infotainment system. The screen on my iPhone is bigger for Christ sakes. It’s ridiculously small.
I think this guy must be working for the Audi dealership down the street. Sorry buddy, I have three close friends who drive the Stelvio and all three love their ride. You got more than three times thumbs down on your review than thumbs up....I think you got more to worry about than Alfa Romeo.
I drive an Alfa Romeo and it is the BEST CAR i have ever driven. Beautiful, powerful, very fast... super fan to drive.
How the reliability? Looking into getting one but don’t want to be stranded on the road 24/7 (I would keep up with regular maintenance etc)
Nice attempt at a biased review. The verdict is clear though. The thumbs tell the story.
Stelvio is a nice car, Alfa Romeo build wonderful cars. I don't like your review!!!
Typical Alfa , definitely has flaws ,but it's the probably best driving suv in class ,and easily the best design ,alfa never misses with driving experience and design ,but the fuck up on other things .I tried a lot of suvs from bmw
Also wtf people never heard of alfa romeo ,I mean how the could you not know about alfa romeo ,even if you dont care about cars
I am a German driving a Stelvio. This guy is talking crap.
You have no idea what you're talking about. I don't even know where to start ....
Good job.
killerjhul Alfa sales are down 22% this year. Guess no one in Manhattan wants one either.
