Absolute beginner here and have been overwhelmed by many previous A7 4 how to YT videos. This was perfect. Simple easy to follow just great first steps. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Wow! What a thoughtful introduction to my new Sony…Crystal clear, well paced and a perfect lesson. You should be a teacher because you have the correct complement of skills to inform, hold our interest and excite the viewer. Now that I have found you, I am going to look to see if you have done a detailed set up guide for fledgling photographers…with possibly a second tutorial for shooting videos. My focus now is taking pictures, which Sony says is what some 77% of new users have as their primary interest. If you haven’t yet put together such a “Beginners Photography Tutorial” for the a7 IV, I sincerely hope you will consider it. Thanks very much for this opening chapter. Good luck to you, Otto! Will

Well, sadly, I just checked your channel, Otto, and am out of luck, at least for right now. Please keep my suggestion in mind because it’s going to take a very organized, knowledgeable and clear thinking designer + developer, like you,to bring such a complex tutorial to life. I am, however, excited to view your “Tips” video…many thanks for it! Will
Thank you so much! I sure need to get back to make more tutorials for the Sony A7IV. I have been busy making other type of videos but appreciate your encouragement for sure! That photography tips video is quite old, one of my first videos when I started making content on RUclips! Thank you so much!
Awesome video, well explained and easy to understand. Will you be releasing more videos about this camera? Do you have a review of the lens that you show on the video? Thank you for making this video!
Otto J, Thank You! This is the Goldilocks of the 3 bears video. There are so many unboxing/reviews or highly detailed menu settings videos! But this one is just right to introduce first steps with a new a7IV! Very happy to have come across your clearly explained "Get Started" video! Wondering which of the many Gimbals you have reviewed would be recommended for the a7 IV hobbyist user. The one listed in your gear on this video is a bit steep at $849.
Hello Jer! Thanks for your kind feedback! Happy that this was useful! The Weebill 2 is a good option amzn.to/3KXmvR4 and you might also want to consider the M3, which is smaller and cheaper BUT it will only hold this camera with small lenses. I do have a review on the M3 on my channel if you want to take a look at it
@@OttoJulian_ Yes, I've seen user complaints about Gimbals not being able to balance once a larger lens was attached. So I appreciate your pointing out the Weebil 2 b/c while my initial lens is the Tamron 11-20mm 2.8 (APS-c), I'm sure my 2nd lens will be Full Frame and much longer. Thanks for your thoughtful and timely response-the W2 is more in my comfort price zone. 🙏

Thanks Vincent for your kind feedback. Perhaps someday you will come to the dark side (Sony ecosystem)?
Did you experience overheating? Also do you feel the back of the camera getting very hot to touch? Mine does.
it gets warm, but I changed the temperature setting to high, and I don't get the warning anymore
