5000 miles or 200 hrs oil and filter. Grease fittings, Tires rotated. 50,000 Coolant, trans, t-case, diffs. 15,000 Fuel filter upper Baldwin, Fass System lower fuel filters. Air filter checked and cleaned or replaced at oil change. Additive every fill up. Been watching PTT w/Arod for a few years now.
I agree with all except for both differentials and transfer case at 100K miles. Most people buy these trucks to tow and if you're towing just for recreation, I suggest doing those every 50K miles. You will surprised how fast that oil breaks down when put under load all the time. Don't forget to check on that upper oil pan. I'm on my 3rd leak.
Thanks for the comment! I don’t tow much, but that’s good advice to change every 50k, I appreciate you sharing. Upper Oil pan 3 times!? How did you have it resealed the first few times??
@@powerstrokemaintenance I don't tow much either. Maybe 6 times a year around 13K pounds and another 6 times a year 10K pounds. Just a piece of mind knowing your gears are safe. As far as the leak, it was repaired at the dealer twice in accordance with Ford's TSB. Not sure exactly what they do other than let the engine drip dry over night and then surface prep the pan and engine before applying RTV. The service advisor told me the tech installed a gasket last time. Not sure how since neither the engine nor the pan has a channel for a gasket. Either way, I'm still fighting Ford about a replacement vehicle. I'm over all the problems I've had and I'm so meticulous with everything too. I feel like I've wasted a lot of good maintenance on a crap truck. Anyway, rant over lol.
It sounds like you feel super frustrated because you do all the maintenance and still have the vehicle fail regardless. That’s super annoying. Ford should definitely get you a replacement, at least until they can guarantee your truck is fixed. What year was the truck if you don’t mind me asking?
@@powerstrokemaintenance Thank you. I've had it for 15 years. Daily driver 75 miles a day. Concrete worker so I need a truck. I'm keeping it until I retire in 4 years, put 2 kids through college, and a wife. Probably keeping it for financial reasons. It's still a nice looking truck and clean. It also runs great. I can also fix almost anything on the truck. For retirement I'm getting a Mustang or that 2 door Cadillac.
When you change your diff, transfer case, and transmission fluids, how do they look? Discolored? Much metal dust? P.S. When it comes to your motor oil.... don't go by what anyone says, or your owners manual. Trust what it says on your bottle of oil and the oil filter, and go with the lower number. Don't scrimp on a quality filter.
I used to change my oil every 5k miles with fully synthetic motorcraft. Now I do it every 3,500 with 10W-30 regular oil. Little cheaper and oil gets changed 2x for almost the same price. These trucks dump lots of carbon in the oil and it’s like fine sand paper in the engine. I’m going with 3,500 intervals but to each their own… keep them 6.7 runnin!!
@@powerstrokemaintenance towing tractors, trenchers, mini excavators etc. about 15-20k loads. I also have my ocr unlocked from the dealer. Let’s me know how full my dpf is on the control panel. Every superduty 17 and up can have the ocr unlocked by the dealer. However MOST dealers do not have a clue how to do this. Takes 5 min… I can do stationary dpf cleaning…. Takes 30 min and really gets the dpf cleaner than while you drive and clean.
Nice! It sounds like you put the truck to work on a regular basis. Cool that you have OCR turned on as well, that’s super helpful to know what the DPF is doing
Yeah it seems like there’s plenty of people out there willing to complain about reliability issues, but not many willing to do simple maintenance. I appreciate your comments thanks for sharing!
'19 F-450. 4000 - 5000 miles on oil and filter changes. Or six months of those mileage parameters not met. Bought it at 38 K miles three years, and had dealer change every conceivable fluid back then. To be honest, this is our first diesel and without this channel, we'd be lost on maintenance.
Great videos. I hope your channel takes off. If you haven’t already, check out ptt w/Arods live stream on Wednesday nights. He has a great group of mechanics.

These videos are great for people who enjoy doing these things themselves to get out of the house or whatever. Dont become a slave to your material possessions.
What maintenance intervals do you follow on your truck?
yup Arod is my number one 6.7 go to guy.
Yessir! He is THE guy for 6.7 stuff

Good call! Not all Super Duty’s have the replaceable filter (mine is one of them). Would you recommend just replacing the whole box?
At what milage, will you pull the battery out of the way of your air intake?

Do you send your oil off for analysis? I do often and was told 8500 miles would be ideal oil change interval for my truck (210k miles)
I have not done that yet. Where do you send it to have the analysis done?

How often do you replace your air filter?
Every oil change with fuel and air filters with tire rotation around 10k Been using 5w40 full synthetic ford oil
