- A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand close off 2023 with one final collab, this time a two-shoe Air Jordan 5 pack nicknamed "Dawn" and "Dusk". Today I'll be reviewing the "Dawn" pair, which is crafted using a light grey suede upper, with vintage detailing, and black and blue accents. Check out my review of these 5s and let me know if you were happy with this pair (shipping delays notwithstanding).

Wow…I just copped these wondering why you haven’t reviewed this yet and now here we are. I got a 11.5w instead of my normal 12w, so I hope there’s still a centimeter of room. These will be my first Jordan 5s. I prefer these over the Dusk pair. And I was really eager to buy these because of the reduced padding (take notes Nike/Jordan). I just hope I got the sizing right and it’s not too snug. Thanks for the guide.

You should be fine going a half size down. I’m a wide foot and I went TTS and there’s still a good amount of room

In my opinion this is the definition of a collaboration. So many small details add up to a really cool shoe. We're not just slapping a logo on the corner of an AF1 here lol. Still subtle enough to not be loud but man, these are great. Got my pair in and love them! Great review as always Sean!

Guys both of the AMM 5s are true to size! the recent Jordan 5s do not run big like previous years. Do not let the reviewers complicate it especially if youre debating paying resale.
I love the details probably the best shoe A Ma Maniere has done so far in terms of overall design. I went with the Dawn pair also.
I got a W on the dusk as well. I find it insane that we paid 25 for shipping and they can’t even ship them within 2 weeks

I got mine through their discord raffle and it came barely a week later. Idk why the EQL raffle and launch day orders takes so long
You are absolutely correct about the shipping. I won the raffle on the 17th and didn't recieve them until this past Tues. I almost didn't want them at that point. Until I got them in hand. Beautiful shoe. But once again, when you pay $25 for shipping you expect them in less that 3 weeks

They definitely took forever to process. But SHIPPING WAS actually really good. They sent email updates each step of the way during transit and arrived within 2 days
Walked into a local boutique (non resale) in LA last week, probs an hour before closing, and had my size! Was lucky to avoid getting taxed on shipping! These are soooo nice!

I missed out on the Dusk but hit on the Dawn pair from Social Status, had them a couple weeks so no issue with shipping. I agree with you on the fine details that elevate these, they look great on feet. Also not a fan of super bulky 5s, it's why I tend to rock 5 Lows but these are streamlined & sleek enough.
Resell isn’t too high on the dusk, if you don’t already have the black metallics you will fall in love with them when u get them in hand i promise
I like these personally better than the Dusk. The Dawn is just different from anything AMM has done on any of its Jordan retros! My sneaker of the year. Personally as a 5 fanatic I there’s a few 5’s I need to grab in 2024 which are the raging bulls, Dusk AMM, Green Bean, Gortex (Edit) and fire reds
5s are my favorite Jordan silhouette. I didn't go for the dusk pair only because they are a little too similar to the 5 gore-tex.

dawns just landed-i'm in canada! i was super annoyed, but they came on our new home possession date. they will be a special pair for me now 🧡 i was very impressed by the quality of the shoe. i might cop the dusks now cuz the quality is so good!

I have to say I was all about the Dawn pair and received them quickly, a really clean shoe as I myself lean toward lighter tone or white shoes. However I always wanted a retro metallic 5 since I was a kid, and even as time passed still couldn’t get a win. So decided to go for the dusk and finally received it yesterday and have to say I’m glad I got them and can’t decide which is better but will have to just like them both! As always keep up the strong work Sean💪🏼✌🏼

I was very with my pair. I am with you that they are slimmer vs the regular 5’s that feel like a boot on feet
The A Ma Maniére Dawn 5’s are subtle fly.
I despise women only release because my regional SNKRS wont carry any extended sizing.. i wont pay for resale.

Dawn for me! I skipped the dusk pair because my metallic 5s have yellowed and looks better than dusk with white Nike Air in the back than the black on black Nike air and 23 on dusk. I feel they missed the mark on making the 23 stand out a bit with burgundy while still keeping it subtle against black.

Passed on the initial release and saw them in hand at a local resell shop and definitely regretted passing on these and the dusk pair but I like dawn a bit more. Might pick up them up later for resell or if I find a good used pair.
Im a true size 9.5 in everything from SB’s to 4’s except Air Force and OG 1 lows where I go down half size. You think I can go half size down on these 5’s?

If I get any kind of "Collab" shoe, it's going to be a Doernbecher. I'd rather have the profit for the shoe go towards a good cause. Not to get rich quick schemes.
Absolutely good shoe. My first Jordan was the fire red 5 silver tongue somewhere in 1991 or 1992. Wore them to the ground to the point that they start "talking". Still one of the better releases this year. Happy you made an review Sean as always high quality content covering all details and information I need to know. Don't know when I'll where mine but it's probably gonna be within a year. Drop a like for my all time favorite sneaker content creator. 💖

Absolutely positively happy with this purchase. The details are like no other collab this year.
Regarding shipping...BEFORE you make your purchase, they were explicit in stating how long shipping would take. People got impatient and annoyed when the legal matter surfaced. But again, they warned about shipping. And if they dropped another dope 👟 tomorrow, people would still pay the shipping knowing it's gonna take a while to get their shoes.
Anyways, great review as always. These are definitely my top 3 SOTY.
Yeah, they inform you about the slow ass shipping, but that‘s not the issue. The problem is being charged 25 Dollars for shipping, yet it takes them too long to ship them, without any explanation. In addition, many people didn‘t even get the shipping notification - the shoes just showed up. And some are still waiting.

The material inside the shoe is great I like how it feels on foot, it's just the snug fit on the foot that sorta bothers me about my 11W/9.5M. I am still on the fence if I should just sell them, I feel like maybe the shoe will fit better once I break into them.
Did you break them in and fit better or would you recommend going up half a size? Im size 9.5m too and wondering if I should go up half a size. Thank you
Honestly I'd do the half size up to be safe. again they do fit but I like SOME room in my shoes. @@Paco1994k

@@silentbutdeadly3466it’s not a bad thing but it’s there the wrinkles are pretty significant but not from the top view. Once you look at it closer the do show. The dusk pair doesn’t show the crease mark they show the groves over the foot but not crease wrinkles like on the dawn pair. The dusk pair looks new still even though it’s my most worn from both pairs.

To be fair, they do state in their faq section that they process and ship within 5-15 business days. It's always been that way. I won on raffle for Dusk, they shipped yesterday I got them today. Are they slow? Hell yes, but they're not hiding that.
