Sorry Anthony. I respect your abilities and all the help you offer everyone, but this just looks like yet another product being thrown at photographers because the company needs another revenue stream. All these things were promised and are somewhat functional in Luminar Ai. Looks like their sales of that must have been slowing down and rather than improve it they launch a new product for the sake of that all important revenue and profit.
They all do it ... of course with Adobe being on a subscription we are paying for the updates and improvements.
It gets really exhausting seeing how we all get manipulated for their bottom lines.
Agreed, I also benefit from Anthony's videos, however it looks like a paid infomercial.
@noelconway5385 Were I him, with my livelihood 'online', I'd be doing the same thing. I just wish these companies would deliver on the promises they make in the programs they made them about instead of never getting there and, instead of that, offering a new mouse/client trap.
Pretty dang sweet! 👍
Nice but not as good as Evoto. Skylum was a fav of mine for years but they have fallen behind in speed and effectiveness of their AI. I still use Lumiar AI because it works. Neo is super slow and this is very similar to Lumiar AI, so Skylum is repeating products, which is of no help, except to their bottom line. What's really different?
250 is kind of steep for aperty. Evoto works just fine.
Must admit, it wasn’t very mind blowing to me. Perhaps others feel differently. 😎
Watching your review, Anthony, it’s clear Aperty feels more like a 'work in progress' than a finished product. While it's supposed to be a batch editor, it’s still leaving behind glaring blemishes and crushing faces-forcing manual touch-ups that defeat its entire purpose. It’s almost as if Skylum wants their loyal customers to fund and finish the software themselves! With better, more cost-effective alternatives out there, it's hard to see the appeal. This software will blow your mind... but not before it blows your pocket first!
Hi Anthony, thank you for the video. I'll be honest it looks to me that Neo well be dead and Aperty will replace it, as it's almost identical to Neo, in my view it'll be more expensive as well... Think Ps & Lrc are the best value at £10 per month, as Neo is a plug in as is Evoto in lightroom.... Don't mean to winge as do watch your video's and they are very good, thank you...Colin Devon UK.
Thank you , never heard of it but then I still use Lr5 😇(and Affinity) . Two things I thought of was "poor Adobe" 😁 and there will be so many over cook photos on the WWW 😅
Thanks for the walk through...
Hard to relate to, but I can see that in the long run, you could save money on some expensive Photoshop plugins. Exciting features - curious to see if it can be called from Lightroom as an external editor, like you can with other plugins. I somewhat agree regarding why they don't just update their existing software packages instead of making a completely new one; I agree it smells a bit like money… Good video - great walkthrough.
So many software companies and plenty of programs coming out. I’d rather wait another two plus years for the companies to get better with their software. I have bought many packages but no more.
This appears remarkably close to Apple’s Aperture, which they quit marketing in 2014, stopped supporting 2018. Can you tell me if this is correct?
syklum Neo seems to do 95% of what Aperty does. why not actually compare the differences? Why would i spend 100's of dollars on something Neo already does?
I wonder what you think of a inexpensive photo program called
Photo Works. Just wondering what you think ??
Confused by the statement: "Note that the lifetime license is valid for two years". Could you please clarify. Does it mean you get updates for 2 years?
I appreciate the overview but you only did one image. The real power would be how it replicates those edits all of the other images in the same folder.
Looking forward to the training course. I hope you'll cover a B&W workflow.
I purchased several months ago and can't wait to get my hands on it. Thanks.
Looking forward to see how it'll do with family portraits
Will Aperty be able to be used as a plug-in in Photoshop?
I wish Darktable was this well put together.
Wow! A very helpful tool!
How close to or different from Evoto AI?
To me it looks like Evoto is miles ahead in both retouching quality and functionality. And they are on their toes all the time with updates and new functionality.
Evoto is like Lumina Neo and and Aperty combined, and the Evoto team seem to have more tricks on theirs sleeves, churning out new features every month. The problem though is that, you will have to be online all the time to use Evoto and the pricing model is the craziest I have ever seen.
@@ElderMike Yeah I agree. It is very expensive for non-pros and their approach to that is to compare it with a human retoucher. I guess it make somewhat sense but when competition is getting closer they need to be aware. They are still number one though (no question!) and maybe that is thanks to the combination of cash coming in and keeping the staff happy.
