I've had Evoto for about 3 months and I now have the lifetime Aperty license. I'm hoping for some great future developments and update in Aperty because so far it seems very basic and underwhelming and I've already reverted to using Evoto for almost all my editing, Evoto wins hands down in almost all aspects. Key things missing from Aperty are the ability to touch up hair and the ability to improve the backgrounds - these some be fundamental parts of portrait editing (Evoto does these extremely well!). I was also hoping the lifetime version of Aperty would negate the need for me to buy further Evoto credits but I'm already looking at my next credit top up!
I bought the early access lifetime license for Aperty. It's a bet on the future development of this software as far as I can see by now. Not very happy with the pre-release functionality so far. Very slow and some sliders don't seem to work at all...
I'm with you on the editing philosophy. Less is more. I picked up Evoto a while back, and although I didn't initially think I would like it, it's become a standard part of my workflow. If you are gentle with those sliders, it does a really good job for basic retouching. I don't use any of that skin-blitzing stuff tho LOL. Imagine what it will do a year from now 🤯
Yep, I got the early lifetime thing with Aperty and did a side by side and Evoto wins in almost every category. Aperty is onl a little bit better than Skylum's Luminar Neo. My hope is that Aperty gets much better overtime, so I can cancel Adobe completely. The Erase feature in Aperty is nearly unsuable after making one change.
Thank you for sharing this video. Always a good experience on your channel question when it says that you can download it to three or two devices that means a desktop and the iPad as well thank you for all the information that you give on your channel. I am interested in Evoto!
Thank you for clarifying Aperty's "lifetime" license. That was the one thing that kept me from buying it - it's not truly "lifetime". Too bait & switchy for me. Perhaps if they were more transparent about it, but to be fair maybe I missed some fine-fine print. Looks like a big time-saver for higher-volume work, but I suspect Adobe will offer something similar in the way of faster portrait retouching tools.
I work with evoto, quite like it, very many different ways to enhance your picture. The pricing is ok for me, I am no professional and the amount of portraits in my pictures is not so overwhelming. It’s easy to overdo the editing, however…
I have R4m Dust as a standalone Version and I like it a lot. It's a huge timesaver for cleaning up clothes. If you want, it also cleans up the whole image nicely by e.g. removing dirt from the ground, reflections and other distracting stuff.
I don’t know 🤷♀️ are we going too far with this Ai editing. I like to edit all my own work and that way I know what I’m handing out is my work from start to finish. I know there is a demand for all this for high intense working photographers but it’s just not my thing right now
Hello, I stumbled across this video by chance when I wanted to get some information about Aperty and thought that this comparison with Evoto could have been a bit more comprehensive. Regarding your brief comment about the problems with opening raw files, I would like to point out that this is not really well solved in Evoto either, because the Evoto plugin does not work with DNG or RAW, but generates a Tiff, JPG or PNG from it. I'm also always annoyed that Pro Photo RGB is not supported. So if you want to look into this topic again, feel free to make a longer video out of it Best regards from Germany Klaus
Great point, I forgot to mention that. Someone did the math and it seems impossible to "beat the system" for a deal. I bought WAY too many up front and they expire in March 25. 3000 edits to go and I've used 300 or so since March.
Unless there is improvements with updates, I'm not very impressed at all with Aperty. No skin smoothing of body. No dodge and burn with my copy unless in the update.
Your dad on extreme smoothing looks like AI made an older version of you… Now the natural photo is just chef's kiss!
I find if I just photograph mannequins I don’t need to do any retouching. 😂
They also don't complain much! lol
@@ogonzilla On the flip side, they don't pay well.

Hey Pete. Yes, subtle is king. Things are a-changin' fast!

It seemed very "Lite" to me. Not many features. We shall see.

Another subscription based tool 🫣
Thanks for sharing.
What do you think about Retouch4me plugins for Photoshop?

리터치4미 닷지 앤 번의 효과 너무 좋습니다
so which one can I buy and own and use offline while traveling ?
Red eye removal looks like he got a good strain. Did he mention?
Do both tools work with raw files?
Since Aperty is made by Skylum I expect that yes it will, but what about Evoto?
The files in the video were RAW were they not?!
@ I must have missed that!
Would you be able to make the same review for Reblum, it is very simple soft but I’m hearing conflicting opinions
I exhausted after this one lol...
Aperty only accepts Loseless compression raw files. It doesn't accept loseless high efficiency compression
ooo...good to know thanks..
I guess you meant lossy "High efficiency" and "High efficiency STAR" compression.
Red eye's caused by flash, how is that after editing?
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I don't have to deal with flash red eye since I use mostly off-axis lighting
Evoto credits expire- so don't buy too many at a time unless you retouch a ton.
Evoto pay-as-you-go credits expire after 2 years, Annual subscription credits roll over.

I hate when people use skin softening on people who already have great skin. Get your lighting right and light retouch is all you need
Don't need it.

I can open and edit NEF Nikon raws in Evoto.
@@ogonzilla In Lightroom? I shoot with a sony, but just for the case, with way do you open your Files to edit them in Evoto?
Try PortraitProfessional…

완전 공감합니다/ 기능의 변화가 너무 형편없습니다
also no background and hair options. Basics
