      Hi Sweetwater , does the app also control the new T4S / T8S mixer when connected ?
      Looks very impressive 👍 Cheers

      @@rockon856 Hello, Steve! You can control your mix when connected to the new L1 Pro systems, but the T4S/T8S mixers do not have the ability to connect to your phone.

    The Pro 16 is very good. Just got one and compared to my Evolve 50 and it disperses better and that sub is smoother than the EV. Like fine wine compared to a good beer. Both are good. The EV is acoustically louder with higher output HF drivers, but somtimes dispersion is better than sheer volume.

    Great timing Bose. People have been begging you to update the ancient L1 systems for literally years now, and you do it right in the middle of a pandemic. Solid strategy lol.

      You HAVE to hear and see it in person. You will be sold. Compressed internet sound, no. The column array is very impressive. Way more advanced than what Bose have done in the past.

      Hear it? Won't you just be hearing your phone or whatever listening device you have? Doesn't hearing of a specific device have to be done in person? Like when they advertise the quality of 4k to me on my 1080tv about the clarity and your like oohh aahh...but wait that is your 1080 tv showing those pics😆

    when will these be available to ship?

    • @Ricky-jj1jj
      @Ricky-jj1jj 4 года назад +1

      Available now. Sweetwater ships by FedEx or UPS which is great as depending where you live, one shipper is better than the other. Do your homework online who is best to ship to you where you live. Sweetwater is fast to ship. GC is also quick, but use FedEx which is unreliable lately.

    is there a way to use three wired speakers?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 года назад

      Hello! Yes, you could link 3 of these together by running the Line Out from one to the next, but I’m not sure that I would fully endorse that kind of a setup due to phasing issues. I think you’d be better suited with a more traditional PA system.

    Anybody here know if 2 of these could be used for home audio, I had a pair of Bose 901 series V, that were the Best speakers I've ever heard, largest soundstage, you were in the sweetspot no matter where you stood, unfortunately they don't make them anymore, will also be using them with the kronos keyboard.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  4 года назад

      Hey, Robert. Thanks for checking out our video. I do have multiple customers that do use these systems for their home theater. They are not really designed or made for it like previous Bose systems, but you can use them that way. They are an amazing system with killer full range sound. I have heard great things.

    I'm sure they will sound great and be expensive $1200 for the small one ? I'm sure they will also sell well as there are many diehard Bose fans out there but what will tehy do with their old systems they paid so much for ? Too many pieces to move. I'll stick with my JBL EON Ones, pack into one piece and two of them sound great together. If I need more sound which is unlikely I'll get two more, prices will drop soon. LOL! BTW That guy talks fast !

      Man, I'm in your boat on this one. I needed new PA for a live loop show I do. I saw the Bose and fell in love with them...until I saw the price tag. I like the Turbosound IP2000. It's similar to the first BOSE L whatever that had a 12 on the low end. Except that Bose is only 500 watts and you have to dig to find it. The warranties seem a little stingy to me. The IP2000 is 1000 watts. They just changed their warranty on a lot of stuff to 10 years. They don't turn their drivers, so it's "only" 130 degrees of coverage.
      The Bose was about $3600, I got one of those Turbosound for about $850. There are better portable arrays, but you get so much bang for the buck at the price point. Last thing. I was in the Guitar Center in NY and saw a Bose layout. They had a band and everybody in the band had their own L2. I believe that was Bose's original plan. Can you imagine being in a four piece band at about 17 and saying "hey fellas, it's time we took the next step and got a PA. This Bose one is $3500 a piece, WHO IS WITH ME."
      Bose does do some innovative things, but kill it with exorbitant pricing and so-so components. And now I feel old. You kids stay out of my yard. I'll let myself out.;)

      I think the Evolve 50 is the popular standard for a long time. But, you can't beat the Pro 16 for dispersion, weight and ease of load in/out.

    The Sad Part ! Is That The Original L1 Array Had A Higher Threshold! Bose Lowered It On The New Series 😔😭 Instantly Kicks In When Using Tracks , Guitar, microphone, AND! NOT! Even Playing That Loud ? Why Did Bose Do That On All The L1 pro Series? I was Told From Customer Support That Bose Lowered The Threhold By Around 50%. WHY?
    That Was The Kiss Of Death🌹 For The L1 Pro Series! And They Truly Sound Great? BUT!
    In The Middle Of A Song When Pushed A Bit Hard… The Threshold Setting Kicks In👎

    Amateur musicians get into over-priced Bose stuff but they don't get what they for. With other speakers such as the LD systems, QSC, Yamaha, EV, or many other brands, often you get "more" than what you pay for. So a lot of times, you get what you pay for is not true.
