💕💕Here from April Lauren’s YT channel and the video from her series “WakeUpBright” dated 11/15/22 - I am almost right at 180lbs lost and hoping to lose another 70lbs or so (Keto/Elliptical/sometimes Adipex) with the goal of attaining my first successful pregnancy. Love to meet another on any facet of the same kind of journey!

🖤 🤍 Thanks Carla. I may only have 40 lb to lose but it's a struggle 5' 2" 67 years. Lost 20 lb a year ago , lost 20 inches, then got injured put it back on. Watching 1-2 videos per day to keep me focused. Back to walking, 10,000 steps , your voice and tips is starting to echo in my head! Lol I even talked myself into fixing a meal and not buying out because I thought of you.

Carla your videos are so inspirational and powerful. I was one of those people that kept putting of my weight loss but after listening to you just a few times I have started eating healthier and have already lost 6 pounds. I know that is not a lot but I feel so good. Thank you. I listen to numerous videos on your channel everyday to keep me motivated and in track. ❤

PREACH IT!!!! Until we own our choices, we can't change our outcomes. ❤🙏🤟 Yes, our pasts may be full of tragic events. We all have the ability to make a move toward freedom from food issues. I'm 18yrs post gatric-bypass and have been blessed to have kept most of my weight off. I tell anyone that asks questions about the surgery that it doesn't fix your headspace! I've worked in an office w/ 20 or so folks that had the surgery & only about 2 of us have kept the weight off. Ms Carla is spot on that the biggest obstacle is our mindset. Own the emotional issues that are allowing you to use food addiction as a crutch to not face the pain. I'm 48 & have dieter since I was 9, starting w/ the cabbage soup diet my mom put me on. I wasn't even obese back then like a lot of kiddos these days. It started a lot of decades of negative issues w/ foods. I've indulged in all forms of disorders & all the diet hacks. I STILL have to be meticulous on what I eat & move my body. Carla is again right, the weight is just a side effect. You are all beautifully & uniquely made. You can be a light for someone else by showing via your life testimony that success comes in all types of styles - perseverance is the common denominator. 🙌🙏🤍🖤

I appreciate so much that you put out so many videos and revisit topics. You have such a lovely voice and hearing about your journey and the things you've learned is so inspiring and resonates a lot with me.
So much of what you've said has landed and seeded in my brain and it has changed my mindset about so many things. Not just weight loss but things like "okay i can't control how clean my house is, but i can control how much input i put into cleaning" and it just makes everything that better easier. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing so much with us. I am so grateful.

I am a new subscriber because I loved how you put it into business terms and using the body as a factory I like when people can metaphorically give another viewpoint of something as a person who is 400 and something pounds I understand all too well that I play a major part in my weight I love number four number four was the acknowledgment that your *COMFORT food* is making you uncomfortably OVERWEIGHT.
Realize that you turned what you love to do is eat into the equivalent of drinking and doing recreational drugs when you turned food a vital nutrient a vital dietary regiment into a coping mechanism into a security blanket and no longer food for it being food and delicious and eating and going on about your day when it becomes a mental issue it no longer is food it's like we're increasing the matter in our body based on the brain thought that we can not that we should but just because we can and it makes us feel better but it's not necessarily helping us to be better.

I have been making some really positive strides this past couple of weeks immersing myself in your channel and also preparing for my first Bodyslims session later this month but your wisdom and love around white knuckling vs abundance / reflection and also on taking the power away from external influences and feeling and utilising that power for yourself (my interpretation of your words) along with your true kindness and compassion / passion around emotional eating and self sabotage are just amazing and much needed by this life long binger and white knuckler. That was the most amazing talk I have ever heard! So inspiring. It can be applied to more problems than just weight loss. I hope that many people can hear this and it helps them take those first steps... I think most of what we deal with is psychological and if we dive into ourselves and forgive ourselves first and understand our reactions that goes along way!! Most times then you can make up your mind that you and you alone can make it happen!! Thanks so much for putting yourself out there! You are amazing!!

I am sorry I've been off youtube for quite awhile! It's for a good reason -- I had midterm projects to work on for some certifications I am working on. These are things I didn't ever think I would be good enough to do -- but I am. It's funny to look back and understand that, from addressing my trauma, that with this and with weight loss, I held myself back regardless of the cause, before. I am feeling so much better, even now. I am in a bit of a plateau, and my weight loss journey is much slower than others might expect due to major injuries, but I feel happy anyway. I had a plateau happen exactly at this time last year, as well :D And for anyone who needed to hear it today -- it's OKAY if things don't go exactly as planned, just keep being consistent and be kind to yourselves. Almost down 97lbs this week, by the way! Nearly there (: And that's just scale numbers, minding what you've mentioned about non-scale victories. I am two full sizes down in clothing, which feels absolutely WILD to me! As always, thank you so much for all you do. I'll do my best to catch up on all your wonderful and helpful posts from this last while.

How did you truly internalize taking responsibility without blaming others for their part, and therefor know (not intellectually, but really know) that you had the power to change your relationship with food? It's one thing to know something intellectually, and it's another to be filled with an understanding that alters how you see something and feel about it.

My disabled son is having issues and these concepts are helping me cope with all of it. ❣️ healthy living doesn't happen in a vacuum. You have to figure out how it works in your real life, with real problems. Today I'm going to make a list of non-food comforts.

Thank you for your well timed wisdom. #4 really resonated with me. I was just reflecting on something similar yesterday that I did this to myself but that gives me exclusive power to undo and fix it! Thanks again for such a thoughtful video. 🖤🤍

🖤🤍 I have to keep watching this until I can incorporate the principles. Today, looking at "get out of hell before the devil knows you're dead". I can't exercise until it's light out. I live in a forest, bears, cougars. But I struggle with paperwork. So today the cat woke me an hour before I have to make breakfast for the clan, and I thought about what you said, and I did an hour of dreaded paperwork and was SO proud of myself by breakfast, that l'm starting to get how this brain shift works. When you start your day off right, perpetual motion keeps you heading in the right direction 👌 for today, I'm good ❣️🖤

🖤🤍🖤🤍 I feel your heart in your message. It is so hard to finally realize I am responsible. But it is also very empowering, knowing I can DO something about it. Thank you so much.
