I wish this was recorded in Full HD. But, it was recorded in 2006 & 2007.
The first Full HD consumer camcorder, the JVC HD Everio GZ-HD7 wasn't introduced until 2007, and it cost double what I could afford.

I'm aware that a lot of people stumbling in here will quickly leave due to the low resolution. These videos were recorded when RUclips was in its infancy, using a Sony DCR SR-80.
I still possess this camera and recently checked it out. It's still fully functional. :-) Obsolete, but functional.

I may have seen more of Oregon in 24 days than many lifetime residents. I know for a fact, I've seen more of Oregon than I have my home state of Florida, where I've lived for a half-century. But, most of what I would have found attractive here has been destroyed by the tourist industry. Florida threw it all away. The PNW has set aside an amazing amount of natural environments in various national, state, and local parks.
I apologize for my excessive panning and zooming, shaky hands, tangential subjects, frequent captioning, and distracting mumbly narration. When I recorded these videos I had no clue that one day I would be sharing them publicly. And, while I could've replaced the original soundtrack with music, preserving as much as possible of the original sounds outweighed the advantage of omitting my narration and commentary. Plus, it's a dang long video, although this is only a third of what I recorded between the two trips.
I included air travel because that was actually a huge part of the Oregon vacation experience for me. I've only flown a handful of times in my 68 years. I insist on a window seat and my nose is glued to the window for much of the flight.
Thanks for watching some of this. :-)
