Nineteen minutes and thirty one seconds of bliss. The animations, narrations, music and cinematography flowed so well together. You could've kept this to yourself but instead you went through the hard work of capturing it all on video and creating this masterpiece. Thank you for your hardwork. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

The opening graphics are gorgeous. I paused the end credits just to look up who did them. Owen's a great talent and you gave him great direction. It perfectly suits the series and elevates it from a collection of RUclips video to a miniseries.

First off, the animated intro was absolutely gorgeous!! Secondly...I started my Alaska Journey in March of 1992...riding the Matanuska Ferry from Bellingham, WA to Haines, AK. I then drove the remainder of the way to Fort Wainwright just outside of Fairbanks in my 1987 Toyota SR-5 pickup! Wow, I started reliving a lot of fond memories that awoke watching your awesome video! Unlike you guys, I am still loving and enjoying every moment here in Alaska...in March 2022, it will officially be 30 years! Thank you very much for the awesome work you do to share your adventures. I look always look forward to your videos...Cheers!

Ha, this is how we went to Alaska in '74 ('75????) I always say my Dad was so cheap we slept on deck with the hippies, five little Mormon sleeping bags in a row. What an adventure it was as this was the start of a week in a wilderness cabin out of Juneau. Then a move to AK. Thank you for bringing it all back. Beautiful work. Mrs. Merly

Loved this! We lived inSitka for many years and the Alaska Marine highway was the ONLY way to travel. Our kids traveled often for school events, my husband traveled for work and we went to Juneau twice a year to shop. Back in the day we got boats at least twice a week, now it is not even monthly. Sad for a landlocked town. Your films are spectacular.

The old Matanuska! Hopefully you know the history of that grand old vessel. For years, these vessels operated out of pier 48 in Seattle. The Matanuska, the Malaspina, the Columbia! - It wouldn't be right if at least one wasn't still running. I remember when the Malaspina and the Matanuska had major overhauls and were lengthened by 50- 60 feet. One of our oldest Alaska Marine Highway vessels is still plying the seas. The "Tusty" - MV Tustumena - is our oldest Open-ocean rated ferry, and still primarily provides service between Homer and Kodiak Alaska - with stops in between. It has made seasonal runs down the Aleutian Chain, and occasionally fills in where a vessel of its class is sometimes needed; primarily when other vessels require maintenance. The MV kennicott is our newest open-ocean rated vessel. The Tustumena is now scheduled to be replaced, and I wonder how much longer the Matanuska will continue to serve us. I'm glad you had a chance to experience an important part of Alaska's post 64 quake history!

I am sorry to say I missed the premiere by a day, but I must join with the other comments that give this a WOW! without reservation.
I follow 300 or so content creators, and probably watch 2 or 3 hours of YT content daily. This episode set a new standard for what is quality.
Your content is always superb. However, the opening music segment, and especially the maps of Alaska, suggested this was going to be extra special. But then that opening animation sequence. Followed by the pacing, coloring, composition, narration. The list goes on. And the added treat of the closing animated constellations. You spoil us.
Thank you so. I and many others need something so special in these times. Christmas came early this year.

Saw your channel just now, hit subscribe and the like button before the video had even started. Also, watched all the way through your opening credits, which I rarely do with other channels, most impressive animation. I used to take the ferry down to the lower 48 when I worked up in Alaska back in the 1980's. Each trip was uniquely special. I would meet the most interesting folk on the boat. It was always a great party heading south in the late summer/early fall. Rarely have I seen video or photos do justice of the inland passageway. But you guys nailed it. It brought back great memories. Thank you. I look forward to more content.

I wish we had known about these ferry trips back when we went on two expensive inside passage cruises. Your videos of the landscape from the ferry look a lot better than what I remember of the more distant views from the cruise ship. I have always been more about beautiful views and less crowding than about excessive cruise ship meals and large crowds of passengers all eager to go on shore at the same time. And to be able to bring our Jeep with us and then go exploring, at our own pace, at the end of the first ferry trip would have been the perfect way to see wildlife before doing the return trip.

20 years ago we did the cruise to Alaska. Best cruise ever! Saw all kinds of wildlife. Now I want to do it again.
