    watching your videos opened up my mind so much. you didn't cover all the content I studied but I used your notes as a template and got full marks for the novel. I didn't even finish my paper and I came out crying expecting to fail. I got a grade 8 and I was 4 marks away from a grade 9 I owe all my success in English lit to mr salles. (I only found out about your channel a month before exams but I still managed to do well) thank you.

      the highest I ever got was a 5
      my mind only opened up so much after using mr salles. I could make my own interpretations and add more to his.
      I always tell everyone and anyone I couldn't have done it without mr salles

    Hi Mr Salles,
    I just got my marks back for my english language mocks that I sat in January. I studied for those mocks using the videos in your playlist and I got a grade 8 in paper 1 and grade 9 in paper 2, giving me an overall grade 8 (one mark off a grade 9)! I owe this success to you; thank you so much!! 👍🏻

    The speech is an anguished, terrified and deeply but confusedly imaginative meditation on the results of his planned murder of King Duncan. Angels will “plead trumpet-tongued against the deep damnation of his taking off.” What one does on the little bank or shoal of time has consequences for all eternity. The following phrase merges a number of ideas in Macbeth’s excited and disturbed mind. He should have pity on Duncan, a naked new born baby should excite pity, but the babe in this case is also one of the Cherubim riding the wind and blowing blasts on the trumpet that declare the horror of his contemplated deed and the judgement that will follow.

    Thanks a lot for ur vides sir thnx a lot wherever i am is cos of u and God,
    i would just like to ask you know how sometimes there are essays like lets say ( how Shakespeare present Macbeth as violent character?) can u like give some interpretations about how he is violent and can u disagree aswell at some points or not?
    Thnx a lot once again.

      Unknown Love Yes, you can argue more than one interpretation. Make sure you conclude by saying why one is better than the other.

    Can you explain why you said "he just lost a child " I didn't know he has a child .Or is it a metaphoric expression that he didn't ever had a child to show his succeeding ??

    • @MrSallesTeachesEnglish
      @MrSallesTeachesEnglish  3 года назад +1

      The biggest clue is Lady Macbeth’s reference to her breast milk when she asks the murdering ministers to unisex her

    • @ipshitajee
      @ipshitajee 3 года назад

      @@MrSallesTeachesEnglish but can I also place this interpretation,that the "new born" or so the "milk of humankindness" symbolises that she wants to get rid of every drop of humanity left on Macbeth , yet that would be the birth of the new "borned" evil inside of Macbeth ,whom Lady Macbeth will feed with gall and nurture him to the fullest, significantly to bring out his cruel side .
      In order to fulfill his horrifying deed to kill Duncan ??
      Ps-and perhaps she doesn't want to get rid of her feminine carecter at all!
      Is that making sense??
