What soil is your dwarf jade in? I have just started some last year, & I am getting ready to repot them in seperate pots. They have been in garden soil to this point.
    Thanks in advance!

      Soil discussion: ruclips.net/video/jaTZHXKPFeU/видео.html
80% perlite, 20% coco coir. But I'm not 100% sure that this is the best mix for portulacaria. Still testing.

@@Bonsaify Thanks for the info! I'm trying different mixes, as I'm in the desert. Temps reach 108 in the summer, with a humidity as low as 10%.

The mix will help, but you need shade cloth in those temps - and ideally multiple layers that are retractable - e.g. 30% for a normal day, and another 50% layer for extra hot. Check out Round Valley Nursery - Ed Clark.

@@Bonsaify I have a shaded area for them. The get a little afternoon sunlight, & it's filtered through reed fencing.
I have found that some trees have to come inside during the summer (Azalais, Maples, Ficus) because of the extreme heat.

Out of curiosity, why didn’t you use your “favorite carving tool” to create the shari on the junipers?

oh, you might be surprised how disorganized I can be. I actually just couldn't find it so I grabbed that little grafting knife.

Thanks for the feedback - I noticed that while editing and brought it up, but not enough! I'll check the mic settings.

Today I saw you at the Oakland auction show, and say hi to you and you were rude and ignore me. It’s too bad that people like you and your channel instead of interact with your followers ignore them and don’t care about us. You and your channel are not worthy of following and learning things from a guy that think about him self and not about us your followers. I am unsubscribing right now from your channel and will spread the word to others to do the same

Oh No! I am so sorry. I said hi to a lot of people but I was in business mode, looking for trees to buy and helping out a couple of customers also. If you'll forgive me for that, I'd be happy to have you visit my garden since you are local, and happy to chat. Drop my an email from my website (just so I don't get spammed by things that are not people here) 🙁
Honestly just being in that room was stressful.
