Thanks for your question! You should never use an elevator in case of a fire as the shaft can act as a big chimney which will quickly fill with smoke- you really don't want to be in a metal box in a smoky elevator shaft as it will get very hot very quickly! You could also get trapped in the elevator if the fire causes a power failure. Hope this helps :)

Sikana English a fire happened at my next door neighbours house, I heard the smoke alarm, the landlord called the emergency services,I put a cloth over my nose and mouth as smoke can harm your respiratory system, I evacuated my house and the fire caused a power cut
