Then the dough has to rise for 2 hours in a bowl. And then rise 40 more minutes in the loaf pan. And then 40 minutes to bake. So real total time is: 3 hours, 25 minutes to make this bread. They really need to tell the truth and get rid of the title which says 5 minute bread, ridiculous. No reason to say that, hate lies. Hoping yours turned out well !

I have a question. I converted and said 2 cups flour. That wasn't enough. Dough was still so wet and thin. Added more sifted flour. About another cup. Still seemed thin but went with it. In the oven now on first rise.

Pound of butter to spread on the hot bread, what a smell filled the kitchen. Delicious bread very soon. We moved to Florida, and my mother tried but soon stopped in discust because it would not work for her here in Florida. I am going to try the whole wheat recipe. Love to see you making something we all love. I grew up in Pennsylvania, and my mother and grandmother both made homemade bread. We could not wait till it came out of the oven. Pound of butter to spread on the hot bread, what a smell filled the kitchen. Delicious bread very soon. We moved to Florida, and my mother tried but soon stopped in discust because it would not work for her here in Florida. I am going to try the whole wheat recipe. You make it look so easy, and with winter coming on, I can not think of a better reason to heat the kitchen up. Thank you, and yes, I will follow you.
