- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is in Jacksonville today and has 41 bills on his desk, ready for signature. They include the big immigration reform policy. The legislation boosts penalties for knowingly transporting or hiring undocumented migrants, it has new e-verify work status rules for businesses with 25 or more employees, and continues to fund the controversial migrant relocation program Florida used previously to fly dozens of undocumented from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard.

Actually none want to take the Jobs, most legal immigrants including Americans don’t want to do the hard work of: roofers, landscaping, concrete… will see how happy you will be when you have to pay twice as much due to lack of labor force when you need a new roof or any other project done
I’ll explain for you simple minded border jumpers….the businesses will crash and burn leaving room for business owners who know how to follow the actual law and not hire illegal invaders. This PROCESS will take some time however when these companies open up they will be hiring hard working Americans that will be paid decent wages instead of the peanuts your people like to work for.

I worked in demolition for 5 years and 60% were illegal.. they do not pay taxes because the government doesn’t know they are here. And companies pocket more money because they don’t have to pay for benefits or health insurance.

How are they gonna distinguish driver licenses if they are all the same? let’s say an out a state a license of Maryland issue to an undocumented vs a license issue to a us citizen living in Maryland, how does florida know one belongs to a Legal US citizen, resident, visa holder vs one that belong to an uncodument?
Legally speaking, undocumented immigrants should not be able to have access to government services such as a driver’s license. However, federal agencies have access to arrival/departure immigration status in seconds based on names and related passport information. It’s really not that hard to prove residency. Any Visa holder must carry related documentation with them at all times in case of encountering law enforcement. It would be the same if a US citizen traveled to any other country.

You aren't "doing it the legal way" if you are OVERSTAYING a NON-IMMIGRANT VISA. Did they come here on a tourist visa? If so, that isn't meant forever. Sorry for your situation, but that is the law and your parents knew it when they got their visas.
