I always hesitate/shy to comment, but I want to thank you for being you and for all the videos you made for us. I have always loved plants, but after watching one of your videos four years ago, my crazy plant journey began. I've learned all the tricks and knowledge on growing my plants healthy from you. Thank you, Melissa!
Anyone else salivating watching Melissa pot up that Albo top cut? I really like being sold plants that are in appropriate growing media. I bought an Albo from Etsy that was growing in Leca. OK, fine, I don't use that but no problem if it's happy in it; Seller removed it and wrapped roots in moss (to save shipping $$). Poor little thing survived all those "transitions" but still ... That's why we like buying from Melissa: clear labeling, straightforward sales. And we get to watch her prepare plants for sale. The best, I say.
Keep everything you like Melissa. You can always sell them later :) as long as you can walk and your hubby isn’t mad about the amount of plants, why not? 😂 It’s all about rearranging. If it makes you happy just keep them ;) When you were showing the adansonii bloom and pointed the bug I screamed: NOOOO 😂 NO Hope you can get some beneficials now that the windows will be closed and get rid of that issue asap. And OMG! You finally got a José Buono! Yay! It’s one of my favorite plants. It has the best variegations and it’s leaves can get huge :) Big hug sweethearts 😊 Emily you are so sweet. Perfect ending to the video ❤
I can’t get over how fast your black velvet grows!!! I loved watching the Anthurium propagation of the seeds. I have so many Anthurium, but don’t think I’d ever do that. Thanks for sharing that with us!
@@plantsbymelissa thank you so much!🫶🏻🤞🏻on my second week of it now, feeling more confident too! got a lot of my plants all set up on trays or containers so it’s an easy move to the shower!💪🏻💪🏻 just with patience & persistence. These suckers WILL be gone!🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hi Melissa l m from Malta been watching your videos quite a while 😊love your explanations and your tidiness❤thank you so much , tks to you my plants are thriving❤️
Melissa I'm such a huge fan!! You've taught me so much and I'm so grateful. I love your long form videos because I can listen to your tips and tricks while I do my own planty chores!! Question: I just got my first El Choco Red (you made her look so amazing!) And Florida Beauty! ECR is currently in a chunky mix, and FB is in spag moss. How should I transfer to pon?? Should I switch them to hydro first for a few weeks? Is the FB ready for pon since it's in straight moss? Or should I just wash their roots and go right into Lechuza Pon? I just want to set them up for success! Thank you! Ps. You are the FIRST RUclips channel I send to people when they're just starting out, your Playlists are so organized like a beautiful planty encyclopedia! Your hard work really shows! 🥹🫶🪴💕
Wow! Those orange seeds were so beautiful!! Is it normal for just a handful of seeds on anthurium inflos to pollinate? I’ve been watching a few vids where that seems to be the case for people! Does each juicy pod have the potential for more than once seed in there?
Melissa, would you recommend me planting my Thai consultation in pin? I just received your package and I absolutely love the product. I don’t know if you have your consolation in it❤❤❤
Thank you 🥹 I don’t use heat less curls. I’ll usually just curl my hair with a curling iron but since it’s been less humid I think it isn’t falling as flat as it usually does 😂 i need to make a new video sometime. I’ve had a couple people ask now but I don’t remember which video I talked about it in either 🙈🫶🏻
Melissa, I love your channel and have learned so much watching it. I have a question. I recently bought a 4 leaf variegated Frydek. It was in a very dense soil substrate. After I 1st received it, within a week or so it lost 2 leaves (juvenile leaves). Sometime afterwards, I decided to transfer it to pon. The roots looked fine. A couple weeks after I transitioned it to pon a 3rd leaf died, leaving me with 1 leaf. The stem look good, it continues to look healthy. What do you recommend that I do? Should I pull it out of the pon to look for corms for “insurance”? Idk why I didn’t think about looking for corms when I moved it from soil to pon, I think I was frantic to help it (it was $130). My Gawd, I’m so bummed out. This was the PERFECT looking variegated Frydek 🥺😢. Also I’ve bought another variegated Frydek from another seller and it’s also in that dense soil. I wanna eventually combine the 2 together to have a bigger plant. When should I transition the 2nd one to pon? Should I use fluval in between or does it even matter?
Thank you so much! 🫶 I personally don't like going from soil to pon but that's just my preference. The leaf loss is probably just some shock, adjusting to your space and then also the new substrate is a lot of changes. I honestly wouldn't mess with it if you know there's no rot. It can cause more stress when you mess with the root system. Once it settles in and can get some stable light + nutrients it'll start pushing leaves again. For the second one - after it acclimates to your space I would move it to stratum for 2-3 weeks then to pon :)
I’m not sure I’m letting it go just yet 🙈 but I only sell plants on my website. I do weekly restocks and I send out a newsletter with the upcoming plants for that week ahead of the restock time 😁

Emily, it was so sweet of you to trade plants. The variagated maranta is sooooooo beautiful. I can’t keep that one thriving!
She's so sweet and thoughtful! 🥹
I feel like plant people are the absolute best.
I loved it all!! So glad you loved everything 🥰 Thank you! I had a lot of fun! 🫶🏼

What a great way to end the day! It's almost 11pm here in Nova Scotia, so this is the perfect way to relax before bed ❤ Happy Saturday Melissa ☺️

Nice plants; thanks for sharing Melissa!
That’s right Melissa get me up also!!

That top cut albo is so darn gorgeous and I hope I catch her when you list her 😍😍💚
Right! 😫 it's sooo pretty!! Half moons are my fav so it's going to be hard to let her go.
That variegated black velvet is stunning looking 👀
recently started following and im just waiting for your new vids and watch the insta clips, great videos and amazing plants🙏🙏
So nice of you! Thank you for being here 🫶
Hey Melissa!! Could you eventually make a Winter plant care routine video? I’m new to plants and haven’t prepped for winter before
What a mass of roots. It looks like the bottom of a bowl of spaghetti 🍝
This video just brightened my whole week! Love your videos 💕
You are so kind, thank you 🥹🫶

You are so welcome and so happy to hear!! 🫶
These weather changes going on make us all sleepy in the South 😅 that humidity is lower. It is so cool here this morning the wind is actually cold. 😮
Literally took my last drink of coffee right before I started this video, it is sad 🙌🤓🤣
aww 🥲
I’ll use this time to finish building a semi hydro climbing pole for my Cissus Discolor. Got my batik albo in..now to figure out what to do with it.
Melissa umarım eşin ne kadar şansli bir adam olduğunun farkındadır😊
You can soak them over night and it starts the germination process and the seeds pop out of the berries on their own.
You can eat the flower. You just have to let it ripened properly. It’s a cross between pineapple and banana. Look it up. It’s so delicious🍌🍍

The Bootstrap Farmer sells extra tall 10/20 tray domes. They are pricey but great quality.
Oh thanks!! I’ll look them up 💕
Yay!!!!
🤗
I still need an albo and mint monstera 😊
if there was a florida beauty that was a miniature size i’d be all over that!!! so freaking cute.

Those are the BIGGEST berries I’ve seen
I never thought of an adonsonii blooming or a monstera either
💚💚💚
Definitely interested in your nutrient water please do a video on that soon. Thank you!
I shared it already! It’s in my pon care video 😁🫶🏻
Is it OK to still use grow lights on house plants during the winter months? Also, how often should they be watered and fertilized during those months?
Melissa, would you recommend me planting my Thai consultation in pin? I just received your package and I absolutely love the product. I don’t know if you have your consolation in it❤❤❤
Do you do heartless curls?? Your hair always look SO good. I know you talked about your skin care in a video a while ago but I forget which one now 🙄

of course! Hoping it bounces back here for you!!💕
How do you keep the white part of the albo from browning?
I have a tiny baby clarinervium. Will that plant be okay in soil? It is in stratum right now
it is soo sad, i would love one of these beautys, i always wanted a monstera variagata, but i live in Germany :(
Hoya Jawa Barat is mean Hoya West Java ( West Java is the name of the province in Indonesia)
seeing all these people with beautiful albos makes me sad its one of my wishlist plants the genetics on urs are amazing tho!!
Iam 200's like 😊 👏💓
What Anthurium 🌿 would you recommend that's easy, far as care?
my Clarinervium that I showed has always been an easy one for me!
I don’t know how you kept up with all the plant props in multi boxes.
Hi Melissa. I’m interested in a half moon monstera albo. How can we connect?
I’m not sure I’m letting it go just yet 🙈 but I only sell plants on my website. I do weekly restocks and I send out a newsletter with the upcoming plants for that week ahead of the restock time 😁
@@plantsbymelissa thanks. Looking forward to it!
Is there another mealy bug in the stem of your tiny leaf?
👀 going to go check haha
Your cacti and succulents should be ok. Not sure about the ficus though
Do you have somewhere available that I can ask a few questions?
Hi Vicki! I don't do 1:1 plant help but I try to be as responsive as I can be in my comment sections 🫶
I’m impatient. I’d have a hard time waiting 10 months for the berries to get ripe. And only five to show for 10 months.
@emilymarie1331 your awesome 🎉
