So satisfying to watch you clean up your green house like that. Also really cool to see you give flowers to your goats, every bit counts!
Indeed it does! ♥♥
Really like your petsonality. So easy and friendly! The world desperately needs more ppl like yourself🙏❤️
@@annamccosker7878 awe thank you!!❤️
Live the natural kitten cameos & goats enjoying the flowers you pulled for your fall greenhouse re-do.
Coffee, Heather and the goats. Great start to the day! 😊
Awe, thanks!! ♥♥
Love the fresh and natural look
Your kids are getting so big. They are gorgeous. ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Good morning farm fam! Have a great day!
You as well! ♥
I just love spending time with you and your family Heather. Always cool things going on at your place. Treasure it all Heather. Life flys by at an alarming rate. XO 💜👍💜 Aunt Beth
Thanks so much, Aunt Beth. That's a great reminder for everyone to treasure every moment ♥
More raised beds! Hooray! That is so exciting!
You made me excited for fall and winter with all your projects ! You must be a magician 😀
NO haha!! I've got help for sure!
The greenhouse is looking spiffy! Watching all your cleaning and weeding efforts makes me want to get off my azz and work on my backyard.
.... Nah, I'll just sit here until that feeling goes away! 😂
LOL!! I feel ya!!
Great progress on your greenhouse!!! Those are some delicious looking tomatoes!! I have the same issue with my cats, great at pest control but they still take advantage of the birds. I feed my birds about 9 months of the year and luckily I've gotten results from scolding the cats to leave my feeders alone. However, the temptation is sometimes too much and the cats do what is in their nature! Thanks so much for sharing! I look forward to seeing more of the transition. Stay safe!🙏❤🇺🇸
Jack is FAST too!! He will climb the trees and hunt them from there!
Good morning everyone, Hope you have your coffee ready :). Love how the greenhouse is looking, Can't wait to see the final results. Your act is very smart but poor birdie lol, well at least it was still moving around lol. Im going right now to check out the other channel, I wanna see what the animals get into lol
The bird is still alive! We have had it in a hospital crate inside and she is doing well.
Interesting video, as usual, thank you for it.
Hello everyone. I hope everyone is well. ❤❤❤🍅🍆🍑🍓🍒🥑🍌🍎🌱🍊🍎🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🥔🍇🍉🥝🥦🍄🥒🥕🥕🥕🥕🌽🍏🍅
We are finally getting rain tomorrow and through the weekend and I'm SO excited!!
Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings.
Lol, your Sage and Stone feed truck looks like a decade younger version of our lawn mower.
Funny! It's definitely a lawn mower for it's first profession, I bought it in 2019!
Heather if you made an hour long video I would watch it. Thank you for sharing till next time God Bless.
Good morning! Those arches are really beautiful. 😊
They really greened up a lot once I stopped trying to kill the aphids lol!!
If you put a layer of dirt on top of the old weeds, it will make them compost faster. 💟
Perfect! Thank you.
@@SageandStoneHomestead Just keep it watered like you have plants in the beds. You are welcome! 💟
Everything looks so good! Every time you picked a cherry tomato I opened my mouth lol. I miss my tomatoes already.
Morning
I always enjoy the garden videos .,I also do the same with my 🥕..last year I had so many carrots…
Fingers crossed for a repeat of that this year!!
Thank you for sharing this clean out and amend as you go and seed starting video! It's great to get a peek at the work that goes into the gardens and things moreso than simply transplanting (or direct sowing), weeding, watering, and harvesting - There's a lot of intention, too. Pretty sure I saw a few giant marigolds (fed to the goaties) that looked familiar - LOL I loved growing those in years past, but was far from prepared for how BIG they got. They always have space in or near my garden now.
They got HUGE !! It took a bit for them to get to the nutrition in the bed but when they did they really took off! :)
Heather the Weather Her is a rollercoaster Ride hot or cold Weather up or down Also windy top.🇵🇹😁
Loved this video so much Heather! Really appreciate you sharing the process of working in the greenhouse as well as seed starting/prep. I know the greenhouse has been evolving for awhile, and it just feels like one step closer to the full raised beds goal. Super happy for you, lots of hard work and hope it will pay off in the future with some wonderful harvests that aren't as difficult to manage as if everything was still in the ground in there. Lots of hugs! 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Hope so too!! Thank you!! ♥♥
Try to put the seeds of the spinach into tea. Leave them soaking on paper towels so their radicals come out and then plant them. They are a very hard seed. You can also use hydroperoxide in the water instead of tea.
Ohhh very interesting! Thanks!!
Let Levi know that a crowbar and a small block of wood will make quick work of that grass ball.
I’ve been trying to dig it out for 3 years!!! It’s got a crazy root system
I'm so not ready to start cleaning up for Fall! You're motivating Me though. 😂

Loving your channel! Do you have a link for your raised beds?
Yes I do! Here is our link, if you use code SAGEANDSTONE5 you get 5% off even the sale prices :) lets.epicgardening.com/SAGEANDSTONE5
So, spinach is difficult for you to grow? Well, mine is radishes. I can grow radish tops all day long but I've never successfully grown radishes that produced the actual vegetable and I love radishes!!
Oh wow! I wonder if it would be helpful to grow them in less fertile soil. We like to use them as an end of season crop after heavy feeding plants or before amending the beds in spring. I know it sounds backwards but sometimes roots will put on lots of greens if they've got a bit of a nitrogen overload they are feeding from
@@SageandStoneHomestead huh, i never knew that! So, maybe plant at the end of a growing season? I really never knew what the heck I was doing wrong.
@@RaysMiniMenagerie yes the end is best because the plants can sense the cooling temps and shortening days which triggers them to store sugars in their roots :)
@@SageandStoneHomestead thanks for the tip!!
Would replacing the weed fabric with (free) woodchips help with both weeds and the mud soup?
Yes!! I am having the hardest time sourcing chips reasonably priced. I'm signed up for chipdrop and I've called the local tree guys. They prefer to pay someone to burn them instead of invest in a chipper.
Every time I try to grow Spinach, it absolutely just doesn't come up. I've given up trying to grow it.
It likes humidity and very moist soil.
I think lol I've gotten okay about germinating it I just can't get it to grow well
Just wondering, but would goat poop make good fertilizer?
Yes it does!! We add the barn cleanout to the raised beds :)
I would love to support my local farmers but there prices are so much higher than the store. We have several farmers market in the area and everything is HIGH. It can cost me anywhere from $7.00-$8.00for a dozen eggs. With stores they put things on sell but not the markets.
Will keep trying.
That's because the big stores have the benefit of producing a huge volume. When you can purchase 10,000 egg cartons the price per unit is less than if you buy 100. This affects everything from the price of the chickens themselves, to the bedding they are on. Truthfully it's cheaper to keep your own chickens than pay $8 a dozen. I'm not sure if that's a possibility where you are.
@@SageandStoneHomesteadi do understand that but still would like to support but need a way too. The stores do have the advantage over farmers but if the could help us who would Luke to support and be regular supporters may help?
@@lindaholliday4536 there’s a typo in there that’s making it a little hard to understand. I imagine if people are buying the eggs at $8 a dozen there’s no incentive to lower prices
How long was your husband in the military for? My husband is army and he is almost 14 years deep lol we also have 4 kiddos ❤️
8 years! Thank your hubby for his service!
@@SageandStoneHomestead definitely will ❤️ you thank your hubby as well ❤️
