The iPad is great for some people but not for others. As a publisher, the lack of ability to change the orientation of how content appears on the external monitor is a major limiter for me. I really wanted the iPad pro to work for me but in the end I returned it for a MacBook Pro. iPad mini does my tablet stuff. I still think iPad Pro is a Jack of all trades but a master of none. MacBook pro is the best business tool I’ve used by a wide margin and iPad mini is an amazing, lightweight portable tablet. Perfect combination.

I do graphic design and Web dev on my windows machine, but I'm also a hobby musician and I do all my music on my 11" M1 ipad Pro. the new USB C port is amazing. I can connect guitars, drum machines, audio interfaces with tons of mics, basically anything I want. it has logic Pro now, and tons of high quality music apps, and it fits in a cymbal or guitar bag outer pocket for taking to band practice or any other colabs.
the ipad is a serious creative tool, I love using mine.

That iPad stand is pretty slick. Very clean, very minimalist set up. Set up of the future. I believe that we will all gradually move to this kind of setup in the future. Especiall with most apps now being developed for the web. Soon, a computer as powerful as a PC or Mac, simply will not be viable for most individuals.

Cool! what kind of work do you do with your M1 iPad ?
@@MindyC Personal blog website edits / writing posts. Also a project manager, so use MS Office (trying to change) for writing project reports, task management etc. MBP now staying at home most of the time and trying to use the iPad more. Definitely a learning curve between the two OS's!

Tell me please, for a person with very poor eyesight, 27 inch monitor with what resolution is better to buy so that the elements displayed on it through the iPad Pro M1 were as large as possible? FullHD, 2k or 4k? I know that on the iPad you can choose to enlarge the screen elements, but I do not know which of these three resolutions of the monitor they are the largest.... Pls share ur experience using GoodNotes with the external monitor feature.
Writing on GoodNotes mean I have to use the iPad and Apple Pencil. I can write on the iPad even when connected to the monitor but of course the app is on the iPad. I can do presenter mode to display the page on the monitor, but writing remains on the iPad.
Is it possible to zoom with mouse scroll wheel ?
If using an iPad Air M1, would same accessories work or would you recommend any changes?
Noticed you switched from Lention to uni, which do you prefer?
I can only guess these accessories can work on an M1 iPad as I don’t have one to do tests. 😉 I used the Uni usb-c hub here as it was sent for review. Both so far work the same in terms of connecting it to the monitor. I have to do more tests to see if there’s any difference when using the sd card slots.
I am planning to buy one, but just wondering whether can I open one or two images parallelly for comparison purposes, as we can do in laptop
Photos app on the iPad cannot be opened twice, so the answer to your question is no, but if some of your pictures are in the Files app, then you can open that side by side with the Photos app.
