I wasnt looking for a chest rig But since i have the osprey chest rig i always take it for hikes so i dont have to take a backpack with me I can carry everything i need for a hike in that rig! If you wanna know what i carry just lmk
@5:20 just wished this chest bag had a loop to attach hiking poles. With your attachment on the left problem is solved. It's a perfect bag now. looking to get one and try as a trail running bag in addition to trail running Salomon Skin Pro 10 backpack. Thank you! I wonder where could I buy that attachment please? found it - VIPER MOLLE Bungee retainer. thank you
Thanks for the kind comment , I gave it a good test last week for a cave bivvi camp in some hard weather and it was good . I’m please I got it , and can still recommend it
Looks a good and practical bit of kit but not sure I'd want to wear it with the harness but I guess you could add buckles to the shoulder straps of your bergan and have it suspended from there do you think?
Is it possible to sort of clip on shoulder straps to the top buckle area and use it as a shoulder bag? (not using buckles but clips or something else). I'd like to get it and switch it around if needed but want to make sure it doesn't get floppy
I was looking for a chest rig for a bit. I like the helikon one. It’s all it expensive at the mo so I had a little look around eBay and found one for 10 quid. Same looking back mesh it has one main and one front lost of molly. I’m still in a wheelchair at the mo so it gives me access to my filming kit without fuss. If I like it I’ll go for the helikon. I like the fact it opens to a flat table and a lot more organisational bits.
@@bannister-lifeoutdoors8004 I also like there bumbag. I used to use one like it from a USA company called game plan gear , the over and under. It was great for 3d field archery never got a sweaty back and could hold a lot. I used to even hand a dd lightweight tarp underneath for a quick shelter. As set of the helikon chest rig and bumbag would be amazing

After a few months are you still happy with it? Thinking of getting one for ease of carrying the action camera and other bits and bobs.
Yes I like it but would defo have a look at the numbat chest rig . But it is more money 👍🏻

Iv used it with my backpack 9kg and had no issues in the lake districts on my cave camp video . But if you wanted to do that you perhaps could

The bag have 4 plastic side release clips if you got some nylon webbing and some more clips I suppose you could have it as a shoulder bag etc yes !
Good vid and looks like a nice bit of kit. Looks like it's based off of the Hill people's gear chest pack
100% And it's great that backpacking brands have started to make chest rigs. Now concealed carrying on the trail using one stands out way less
