    The top straps are detachable
The pass through is for the rush belt or sky weight

When warring a chest pack it becomes part of your line 1
    Remember when kitting and using
    The tier system is best
    Body is tier one
    Back pack tier 3
Teri two is plate carrier or vest

I'd like a bag like this, but one that either comes with a shoulder strap (for a cross body type bag), or at least can detach the chest rig and have the right connection points for a cross body bag. I want something this size, not the sling bags that seem to be so much bigger. I wish this worked for the cross body bag concept because I like their bags, they are durable and overall well designed, I just have a particular need that I can't seem to find a solution for so far.

Excellent review. I’ll save my money for v2. You’re right, the top strap buckles need to be detachable so it can be easily converted to fanny pack use or removed while wearing a backpack!! They should also include (or at least sell as an accessory) a proper padded waist belt to convert it into a fanny pack. They show it with the belt from their Skyweight backpack, but it’s enormous, overkill for a fanny pack, AND not available separately (really 5.11??). Also, it would be great if the front pocket had a cell phone camera window like the Vertx SOCP (but better designed then that one). That flimsy stretchy thing seems useless for anything substantial and things would easily fall out if you bend over. It’s almost there and better than a lot of offerings, but misses the mark by too much to make it a compelling product. It’s like they rushed it to market without really thinking it through and testing it.

We just got back from an overnight trip and the pack did great. That big front pocket worked really well and was easy to access.

The 5.11 Pack looks like a real gear lifesaver! Have you tried stuffing it to the max and does it still stay comfortable?

    • @ExploreTrekAdventure
      @ExploreTrekAdventure  Год назад

With the padding it sits comfortably on your chest and the bigger straps do not dig into your neck. The outer zip pocket is a bit hard to use when it is really stuffed.

That is the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Phone Pouch. Safe and easily accessible place to put your phone while hiking.

We have updated the video description with the holster as well. Maxpedition Holster - amzn.to/3Z3IApA (Amazon Affiliate) It is small and simple but works well.

Nice review video. It's a little funny, but it occurs to me that maybe this is a better design for forgetful kids than a crossbody bag.

I have one and I feel like this is terrible as a stand alone but along with a back pack it’s great to carry all the small miscellaneous items.

Can you add the link to the ccw attachment you use with the extra mag holder?

They came from a “Maxpedition Gear JK-1 Concealed Carry Pouch” which included the attachments.

A G26 with an extended mag fits well so I would think the M&P would fit.

I want something like that just for a pistol. Just 1 gun and no straps. I want it to attach to my backpack straps. I want it small and simple. I have a large pouch but it is too much. I only need it for a gun. I have other areas for my phone keys and wallet. I won’t need that stuff quick access.

I used it on a few trips this summer and all worked great. The only exception would be with all chest packs they can be hot & sweaty in the summer.
