Honestly, Living Dummy II is my favorite. Slappy’s plot is not only smart but it’s much more complex than what Wood was doing in the first one. And it plays on a different type of horror. Of course it’s scary that he’s alive, but Amy already felt like an outcast. And because Amy is so different compared to her family of course she’s being singled out the most. I feel like it’s the most complex of the books. For what it plays with when it comes to fear of being singled out and feeling different and the insecurities it comes with of not being good enough, and Slappy’s plot to continue to cause trouble and make Amy out to be insane OR she conforms to him. To be honest, none of Slappy’s plots ever seem as clever as it was in that book.
I just finished reading this one and wrote a review on goodreads for it. I might do a spoiler-review for this in the future, because there's a lot going on this book and it's hard to talk about without spoilers lol. I actually really liked the ending though, at least for the most part. It did ruin some parts of the story, I will admit, but on the other hand, it also ties other parts of the story together very nicely. Also, that one scene around the middle of the book kind of foreshadows the ending, and it feels like it was all intentional and part of the plot. The title of the book is also kind of a dead giveaway. I love how clever and simple it is at the same time. So... I don't know. I have mixed feelings on this book as a whole, but I did really enjoy reading it for the most part.
I had an absolute blast with it, but I despise that stupid ending twist lol. It’s such a mess, and-in my opinion-cops-out on the rest of the terror of the book. In many ways, this is almost the best Dummy book ever to exist, but that ending really hurts it, for me. Bummer hahah. You gonna make a video review for it?
Hello Micheal, I been collecting a lot of Goosebumps books lately I bought this book on Ebay and I got this book a non-book leg copy and real copy. I'm not going to read it yet because I have not read Night of Living 3 yet or Bride of Living yet. I've read night of Living Dummy 1 and 2 after I read Night of Living 3 and Bride of Living Dummy, I will read Slappy Nightmare it good to own a read copy of this book.
I finished this book a few weeks ago, and tbh, the ending was kinda predictable in my mind but I was hoping I would be wrong cuz the book WAS good! But the whole book I'm waiting for something to happen, then something HAPPENS. But then it doesn't. Over and over again.. And the ending was Stupid in my opinion, and it's identical to The Nightmare Room Novel he wrote within the same year. (Which I read a week after this one). I don't know, not the biggest fan of this book..
It’s such a massive letdown. I and some other Goosebumps youtubers discussed this one a lot, back in the day. Even though I think it’s got some good, creepy scared in it (like the abby thing), the ending takes so much steam out of the story, and just kind of deflates it for me. Still a standout for Goosebumps, because of how dark it gets, but I can’t believe how lame that ending is hahah. Glad to hear someone else feels that way.

I've been hearing quite a few very positive reviews when it comes to this book, but, Just like Return To Terror Tower, and One Night In Payne House, The price was always keeeping me back from ordering it. HOWEVER: Just earlier today, I found Slappy's Nightmare on Ebay, For $17.84! Psyched to read it! Right now, for the past day, Ive been reading Wanted: The Haunted Mask, and Holy Sh*t, I'm shocked Goosebumps crossed the line with Gore, Blood, Death, Etc. Definitely would NOT recommend that to an 8-12 Year old lolol

There's the novelization of the "Live On Stage" show, the comic book tales and adaptations (I believe there are only three in total), the movie novelizations, the movie books like "Slappy's Revenge". I think there's some others I'm forgetting about, but you get the point lol. Sooooooooooo much Slappy stuff out there, and I love it all lol.
