One thing that I forgot to mention is that in offensive game mode there are predetermined Ggarrison's for the defending team. These are special garrisons that cannot be destroyed by explosives and do not count towards the 200 m rule.
Nodes is actually wrong: in the second friendly row, nodes can now be placed to allow each team get resources, even if they are pushed back. If one team has only one cap left, it will recieve +30 passive resources, if two left +20. Your guide features update 9 resource mechaniks.
Glad that your vid got recognition from the devs! People need to know the roles more instead of blind rushing objectives or worse..objectives that are uncappable. Support players need to drop supplies more often, engineers all need to build nodes more.

I've only just got this game, I have 1500 hours on squad, and this is now my go to game, absolutely brilliant, the sound the graphics, there's moments in the game that I feel like it's actually for real, it must have been scary as fuck to have fought in that war!

Started playing this game 3 days ago and I'm completely addicted to it. Even though sometimes I just walk, walk, walk, take cover, walk, walk, die, and repeat. It's still good! And nothing beats (so far) finding a good position for your mg and pinning an entire squad down for your team to flank and obliterate :D
This game has the greatest happiness To anger gameplay. I love the atmosphere, killing and graphics, but get enraged when your OP is being camped and you die within 3 seconds.

This game is actually goated. Especially since modern history was my major subject in high school, I know the context of most of the maps in the game. So now I can actually experience the battlefield.

Awesome video man. Playing on the xs. Been waiting forever for a good hardcore shooter game on console. I found myself not even shooting. Just spotting enemies for my team. Such a unique game. I really hope they keep this as a series.
Wait till you try arma 3 if you ever do. That was my first tactical shooter and what a bad experience it was for me personally. It did make every other shooter easier to learn and more enjoyable though. So in the end it was worth playing

And I never felt more pumped to revive people. I had people screaming for me, saying yo medic! Yo medic! Hey man help me! It was intense as fuck. I eventually went around reviving so many people I could hear in proximity chat “yo that guy’s back again!”. It was cool as shit. I also found that there’s a lot of toxic people playing this game. Ran into a few assholes already with weird ego complexes when playing certain roles.
You just described my experience as well! I decided to go with medic to be as useful as possible and I had a blast. People were were like "oh he's back, get me dude!" It was very rewarding. Luckily my experience has been mostly positive too. Hope yours becomes much better in terms of people's behavior. I'll see you on the battlefield
Just saw the open beta on ps5. Loaded it up. Spawned into a game seemingly in the middle of nowhere with no idea what to do and very high aim sensitivity. Ran around for 10 minutes trying to find some sort of objective or other players. Got one tapped from across a river... Closed the game and came to youtube for much needed help!
@@monoespacial I wouldn't say 10 hours lol. I worked it out in an hour to where I knew all the rolls. Getting every detail and being good will take time though haha. Amazing community helped with learning a lot.
Thank you very much! I got killed a ton when I first played on ps5 but in my second match I hid in a bush while the whole enemy team ran around me then was able to flank them. Got about a 10 kill streak which isn’t amazing but was the best I had ever done. I didn’t know if I could place an outpost or not but now know you can’t unless in friendly territory. I've never been to war and this game seems to represent what it looks like. This is a FPS which isn't about skill but about focus and strategy. What a good game

I played this a couple times. Didn't know what was happening but thought it looked beautiful. Went back again and fuck me it's good. It's scary as hell, confusing, hard and frustrating. Definitely a good war simulator.
I just want to say… thank you so damn much for this video. I got the game for my ps5, and have been having an absolute blast, but the game doesn’t explain any of this shit to you. Even reading all of the information in the barracks screen about what role does what, it doesn’t tell you that there are different load outs and that’s how you get to use different things. It was driving me crazy. Thank you for this.

About the nodes, from my experience (obviously much less than yours) they ARE able to be built in the first zone of the map and still generate resources. I take on logistics role very often and we use this in my squads to keep them very far back
You can build nodes in the first two squares just drop supply’s from a truck in square 3 close to the border of square 2 and build in square 2. This will keep your team from losing all your nodes if your team gets pushed back to your last point
I just started this game, and I’m new to pc and m/k. This game is pretty newb friendly. This game is awesome. Most veteran players understand and help new players. HLL has an awesome community! I can’t wait to get the hang of it!
Coming back from a long break. This was very helpful so thanks. I wish they would add a radio class unit that dealt with all the command chat. I think the squad lead needs to be relieved from command chat there is just too much to do as squad lead. I get that having a communicative radio operator would be very important then but I still think it would be a big improvement in squad cohesion and ability to communicate effectively with your squad leader.
Since the games coming to console I clicked in the video and oh boy…is there a lot. Once you brought up a calculator for arty I was like “nope”. The recon class seems fun with a friend
I mean, unless you are actually playing artillery, you won't ever interact with that. It's not like your also using a calculator to aim with your rifle. But yeah, if that seems like too much work, then this game probably isn't for you.
Mono, your videos/tutorials are excellent!!! But please, if you can "include" something like a "how to defend" section in a future video, please do so. I play public matches all the time and it's frustrating sometimes to see the entire team inside the strong point "defending", while only me and my squad are running around the sector and fighting for the flanks. "Defending" means "patrolling the sector", covering flanks and looking for where the enemies are coming, but people think the best "defence" is to sit down inside the strong point and wait for the enemy to arrive to kill them... it's sad :(
I enjoy playing officer, especially the 3 voice channels at once, in daily life i am a tugboat captain. And i work with a minimum of 3 communication channels at once at any given time. So i find peace in the chaos... if that sounds right🤣
Everyone I've met has been great. Down to earth and not an idiot or immature like you get in COD etc. Game is hard to learn but amazing when you do. I'm playing the PS5 BETA atm.

Hi Mono! I believe this video will be extremely helpful for the new players. Well, I learned a thing or two from it after playing HLL for about 200h... so thanks a million for your great work! There's one thing however that feels like a missed opportunity to me. It feels like this incredibly useful data might have been structured differently to help players (especially new ones) understand it better. Here's the idea: 1. What's HLL about? (map control, game modes, sectors, strongpoints) 2. How do you contol the map? (garrisons, OPs, airheads, nodes) 3. What roles you can take to help your team control the map? (everything you sad about every class) 4. How do you work together with your team? (communtication, proximity chat, ping system) 5. How do you start? (select a team, pick rifleman, die a lot, cry deeply) So the information you're conveying in this video wouldn't change a bit... only how it's structured. I'm not trying to criticise you, I respect you very much. So please take no offence
Wow, I don’t know whether to feel overwhelmed or excited to try this game out. Nabbed it for free when it was the PS+ game but had yet to check it out. Seems I have a lot to learn.
It's amazing how many times I'm following a group of teammates and I get one shot in the back but no one in front of me got hit. Either the snipers are next level or I have the bullet magnet helmet.
Its so hard for people to grasp that a enemy shooting you in the back will destroy your spawns and reinforcement waves later. Nobody ever wants to infantry/spawn hunt in this game and it makes games such a drag of just being curbstomped. Especially since the "meta" is having a single garrison on a frontal attack into enemy MGs/armor.
2:00 Seven people if you're lucky. Communicating Leaderships needs to units, and units needs to leadership and then where enemy positions are to both. It's a good time lol.

There are language specific servers, so if you're for example German there are servers where the spoken language is German, the spoken language is usually in the server's name so make sure to respect whatever language is specified in the server's name and rules. I've seen a lot of people get frustrated because they joined a server where they could not communicate with their teammates due to a language barrier. Don't expect others to switch their language, even if they can speak it, just because you joined the wrong server.

The only roll I have ever seen people be kicked because of is commander. Not listening to the team or doing what they should do and just being ignorant. Other than that try your best and you will be fine!
So, how many bazooka / Panzerschreck hits does it take to destroy enemy heavy tank from the behind? Lots of confusion going on the servers... Some keep saying that it still takes only 2 shots to rear of Tiger / IS / 75 or 76 sherman and a lot of people say its 3 shots. Personally I've shot enemy heavies multiple times twice in the ass and they are still alive, seems like their engine only goes off. Could you do a video where you test this thing to clarify it?
Started playing just last night and i wouldn’t say im hooked or in love with the game but experienced some of the funniest game chats I’ve ever heard. Mfs were hella funny Update: So 3 whole days of playing the game almost all day and still not loving the game, just not my type of game. It feels as if though you always have to take the game seriously or you’ll lose, like as a squad leader I cannot say anything funny without being met by silence or shins from the other officers and commander lmao
lol I sat for a good 7 minutes figuring out how to calculate and fire the artillery, shot one way off target and then was killed by a spawn camper. Point being, definitely gonna try that calculator. Thanks for the video man 🙏
i just picked up the game recently and really wanted to learn from the people i was playing with but 5 squad on 6 are pretty much without comms or the squad leader doesn't say a word all game long, i think the game's fun with a good SL but with no SL it's definitely not as enjoyable.

Iraq vet here. This game itches the squad teamwork itch I miss from those days that a lot of games miss out on.
You would probably be better off with Post Scriptum than HLL. It's more of a sim than HLL, so squads tactics are more important.

It's amazing how many times I'm following a group of teammates and I get one shot in the back but no one in front of me got hit. Either the snipers are next level or I have the bullet magnet helmet.
Its so hard for people to grasp that a enemy shooting you in the back will destroy your spawns and reinforcement waves later. Nobody ever wants to infantry/spawn hunt in this game and it makes games such a drag of just being curbstomped. Especially since the "meta" is having a single garrison on a frontal attack into enemy MGs/armor.

There are language specific servers, so if you're for example German there are servers where the spoken language is German, the spoken language is usually in the server's name so make sure to respect whatever language is specified in the server's name and rules. I've seen a lot of people get frustrated because they joined a server where they could not communicate with their teammates due to a language barrier. Don't expect others to switch their language, even if they can speak it, just because you joined the wrong server.

From what I have watched people seem to take this game very seriously, and I’m not very good at shooters and I don’t want to get kicked 😅 for doing something wrong. Well I take that back, I use to play shooters back in the day before COD became a trend.

The only roll I have ever seen people be kicked because of is commander. Not listening to the team or doing what they should do and just being ignorant. Other than that try your best and you will be fine!

So, how many bazooka / Panzerschreck hits does it take to destroy enemy heavy tank from the behind? Lots of confusion going on the servers... Some keep saying that it still takes only 2 shots to rear of Tiger / IS / 75 or 76 sherman and a lot of people say its 3 shots. Personally I've shot enemy heavies multiple times twice in the ass and they are still alive, seems like their engine only goes off.
Could you do a video where you test this thing to clarify it?

Update: So 3 whole days of playing the game almost all day and still not loving the game, just not my type of game. It feels as if though you always have to take the game seriously or you’ll lose, like as a squad leader I cannot say anything funny without being met by silence or shins from the other officers and commander lmao
lol I sat for a good 7 minutes figuring out how to calculate and fire the artillery, shot one way off target and then was killed by a spawn camper.

i just picked up the game recently and really wanted to learn from the people i was playing with but 5 squad on 6 are pretty much without comms or the squad leader doesn't say a word all game long, i think the game's fun with a good SL but with no SL it's definitely not as enjoyable.

No, you might be confused with diameter. The radius is 15m, pretty sure.
