    You can also walk to UNT Frisco to take a short course or go to UNT Frisco library to read books, magazines or computers etc. ( This is especial important to retired people!)

    Ngl after working in a lot of homes surrounding the DFW area in recent years, it worries me because most of these houses get put up in 15 minutes and countless corners get cut. Most homes now get built without letting any foundations settle and it can cause problems later on not to mention how quick the guys throwing this house together are relying on speed vs the safety and reliability of the structure. I mean didn’t they just cover this in a news clip a few weeks ago about the structure problems in one part of DFW? What they don’t know is it’s all around DFW lol and it’s not just the structure, it’s the plumbing, electrical, flooring, framing, and my god I’d love to find a “new home” that has anything level or squared, but that’s simply to much to ask for now a days.

      Yes hire cheap labor from immigrants that come here on incentive from the government, use cheap material and get it funded by government grants. Then pocket the money. It's a disgusting business.

    I don’t need to “walk” anywhere. I would rather have more space for nature than have the convenience to walk somewhere I need to go. I do like the idea of the mini-cities in general though.

      Good luck building 15 min cities is exactly what causes more space for nature

    Big difference between walking for 15 minutes vs driving. If they are using driving as the definition, they have changed what the entire idea of 15 min city actually is to market this story.

      They're not using driving as the definition, just walking. Idk why the news reporter said walking and driving. She doesn't know what she's talking about.

    The WEF wants us all in 15-minute cities, except their version is an apartment community. You might have seen their ad "You'll own nothing and be happy", which promptly disappeared when it had the opposite reaction from what they expected. Umm, no thanks!

    Two-One Buy-down means your mortgage may INCREASE by $1000 after 12 months! What a great way to march towards forclosure!

    I wouldn’t say this is considered a “15 minute city” they’re suppose to be dense urban spaces with mixuse development and reduced reliance on cars which this is not…

    • @blackout07blue
      @blackout07blue 4 месяца назад +2

      So they’re supposed to have virtually no outdoor space for nature, etc.

      @TheLuisTorresChannel 4 месяца назад +1

      @@blackout07blue density doesn’t mean a lack of green space nor the use of highrise it could just mean townhouses duplexes etc. There are many cities and neighborhoods that still have greenery around. For example Mexico City, Chicago and even Uptown Dallas have beautiful sidewalks lined with trees and flowers,trails, parks etc but with a more walkable environment. You shouldn’t have to drive to a park just to go for a walk.

    They have unreasonable HMO Fees with no service return to you. They can increase at their will and put a line on your home if you don't pay what they demand. To bad if you lose your job or fighting cancer; pay up with penalties or your home is theirs.

    I think it's wonderful that all this new construction is happening. People NEED homes. But who are you building these houses, these communities for?. Absolutely not the backbone of America. The single income families. The middle-class working families. It's hard enough for the average person to afford houses that are already here. Even within the next 5 years, we won't have recovered from the damage covid and these stimulus checks did the economy. The neighborhoods look amazing. But they also look like ones of which i'd have to die trying to ever pay off. Most people aren't even buying right now. And when we do, NONE of these homes will offered to the ones who would REALLY benefit from it. Where are you building low income units? Where are you building housing that gives preference to veterans?

      Lmao. That’s what Dallas was in the 1930s. Lower Greenville, Oak Cliff, Knox-Henderson, etc are all 15 min cities. They still are if you live in those neighborhoods

    A 15 min city is IS NOT INCLUDING A 15 MIN CAR RIDE
    The whole point of a 15 min city is to not use a car 😂

      Exactly, the news reporter got it wrong and is spreading misinformation.
