HAPPY BUILDING YOUR OWN HOMEMADE BIOGAS DIGESTER.!!
Very Good explanation & a true effort to make it easy for learners to make own. Some observations: There is no need for two 1/2 opening in the top. Only 1 suffice. Advice is to have a T joining in the Gas outlet pipe with 2 valves, one from tank side & other towards stove side.
Next is to have a interconnecting pipe to the Sludge removing pipes & have a single valve at the outlet. But what you have done is also suffice but it will call for leak test every time the sludge cleaning happens. A inter connector pipe with valve will reduce major activity.
Finally add a schematic drawings for the learners to understand better. But it is not a must as the explanation is very good.
But over all this video is eligible for 90 out of 100 marks, Excellent works. keep it up.
thank you so much sir.
Hello, Great idea, love it. The outlet pipe using a 90-degree angle may not work. Once some drainage starts, there is a danger of the syphon effect will empty the digestor. probably best to use a T-connector to mitigate this danger.

It can only sick down to a certain point anyways.

@@adamsaquatics3332 I need answers for my question
Well done. Really well made and very clear instructions.
I have built it...the issue is the open slurry outlet. I believe the system doesn't produce enough pressure before being released via the slurry outlet, so you lose the gas as the slurry gets pushed out. The easiest option is to add a tap to the outlet in order for pressure not to escape until you manually release it...but this could result in too much pressure build up and you would also need to isolate your gas storage to avoid it running back into the system as it tries to equalize the pressure. My opinion is to find another design.
Great video... documentation included too...will have to give this a Shot
it is so useful technology because we can get every where to be digested or fermentable materials
Thank you very Much. God Bless you!!!
Thank you.Super super video!!.

An intuitive video. Thank you
Nice video Biogas is very easy to make. I actually Created my own digesters and run small engines with the biogas.
awesome
can you guide me how to make presure in gas?
Hello brother can you please guide me
big fan of your content ! and love your accent friend
Saya tertarik dan ingin coba. Ku tunggu video selanjutnya
Thank you for sharing.
Legend!
Hi I think it would be better if the outlet pipe is 50mm below the top of the barrel to prevent blockage of gas pipe this space allows clearance.
awesome suggestion
Good, Thank you
Good evening. I am wondering why you have three outlet hole at the top of the barrel. I do understand that I need an outlet hole for the gas to my stove and I also do understand the inlet hole. Can you please explain the value of the two other holes. What is difference between the three holes on the side of the barrel with blinds.
Thank you fir sharing
The best. I wait next video
I got it thanks.
Thank you!!
Thankyou awesome job & fantastic you provided link to d-load schematics on Google drive in description Cheers RJAY.
Thanks fo sharing
Thank you information about biogas digester..... free gas from microorganism.
thanks you've even given us the schematics
You did leave out one very important final step - how to use the gas stored in the inner tube ;)
What is your process for getting the stored gas to a burner ?
yes i knew that this question was gonna come up one day. Ill make a video addressing this and link it to this video okay
Please make a video on this
Thank you so much! It was a wonderful lesson! Regards
Do we need non return valve for safety or for gas discharge
There is nothing big issue here. No safety issue. The tube will explode if gas is filled too much. Nothing much to worry
This is very nice ,thank u vertical
most welcome.
Great video easy to follow steps will definitely make one myself thank you.
great to hear that. most welcome
Lots of scientific comments from interested publics. You got their eyes and it is good work initial starting
Please nice info appreciated but the size of the tap connector was not mentioned
Thanks
hye , id suggest you check the description box because I have some materials that will help you .
Great job!
thank you
hello there thanks very much for the eye opener video but im not really understanding why we need that 2inch outlet valve yet its not even caped i understand an anaerobic process doesnt need any oxygen then why is that outlet left open
The tape is for the run off it makes excalent fertiliser . You must always keep it topped up with wast old wast food water extra .😇🇬🇧
Hi dear friend,
Thanks for the great video, l don't understand why you did a second hole that is on the midle of tank and also on top why you did 2 holes for gas when in the video you use only one, the other one have a tap on it.
You should make a plan on the paper first and explain each holes purposes.
Much appreciated if you gives us more information about.
Thanks and Namaste
With love from Daniel
Hello Dear, those were precautionary measures taken in case any of the holes got stuck with food waste. I had very little time to complete this project, so I had to take these measures just in case anything out of my control happened. The middle hole and the two holes at the top aren't necessary. Hope that helps and have a wonderful day ahead

@@avimakesstuff703 do you have any video of the operation. Any latest video?
Amrithraj Gopalan Hye, Ill be making a video answering all the comments very soon, and as for progress , I wish I had prolonged the experiment but I didnt, so I do appologize, How ever I will cite some research papers in the next. video regarding this topic
aicram62 Hye, actually I didnt calculate that part because my experiment was just to fabricate a digester to recycle food waste.
Hi Avi, great video! Could you offer some sourcing for the tank connectors and such? Amazon does not have the 1/2" pvc tank connectors
I checked my local home improvement store
If you outlet is above the top of the barrel, what is to stop the entire barrel from filling with slurry? Where is the void for gas to collect?
Well, I built this over 6 years ago, and when I ran this experiment, the whole barrel was filled with slurry. The gas was collected in an EXTERNAL tire tube. Gas formed and will travel through tubing and kept at the tire tube.
I constructed as you taught but the formation of gas is nil. Please guide me. Practically all the necessary constructions were done by me. But no gas is formed. Please give more information.
Just a question regarding the outlet tube, why did you put the outlet on top actually above the tank, have you tried this contraption already? is the outlet tube working? meaning slurry coming out of it? please clarify this, thank you.
hye yes its working
Instead of the epoxy clay, can I use cement?
i wouldnt recomend it as im worried if it dosent stick to the PVC material and create an air tight seal
Thanks
No problem
Is Requiremently you have to use rain water please
HI Avinash, today only i saw your video. it was great work and well explained. all the best for your projects
santhosh rayal Thank you very much
Hello, Please how long will it take to collect the biogas and what type of biogas digester is this (e.g) Wet/Dry or a floating drum digester
Acclimatisation will take around 1 month- 2 month, after that it shoukd be sustainable already
Must the inlet be covered airtight?
An essential question I have also created is a system that makes gas but does not fire what would be the reason you answer me what to do to find a solution.
Inlet pipe hole should be bigger, I tried with these dimensions but most of the kitchen waste is big enough to get stuck in the inlet pipe, so keep inlet pie at least 3 inches wide, this ensures feeding is easy, no mess around the feeding tube.
thanks for the info. just for your infomation , we grinded the kitchen waste to ensure that dosen't happen.
Definitely have to try this.
i wish you best of luck
I got one question. Wouldn't the gas exit the tank from the outlet pipe?
IM THINKING THE SAME
I believe the outlet pipe has liquid above the bottom and has only one way to go. That would be out the smaller gas line into the tube.
@@richardholt9170 yes @One Connect Show , that's the way to go.
The outlet pipe will create a siphon. replace the 1st elbow with a T piece.
Thank you for the wonderful feedback. I genuinely never thought of that. All we did was just drill a hole at the corner of the first elbow.
Which of the outlet pipe are you referring to?
The outlet that shaped like a U
Please can I build a digester that can be used to power 60kva and above generator and what quantity of waste and or dropping would be needed to produce enough gas to run the generator for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
1. Why there is two holes for gas? (when using only one)
2. Why there are three holes on sides? bottom one is necessary for cleaning of barrel if needed. But why other two? Final assembly didnt had them used.
3. Is biogas digester is faster in digesting waste than other available methods? I may not need to have store/use gas. But like to have one fast degrading process to reduce waste
If I didn't want to store the gas, can I just open gas outlet once every week to release gas? Or what else should I do?
yeah can
good design
thank you.
I wonder if the slurry will flow out that high!
That music is really annoying! Otherwise great video. Thanks for all the information.
Thats great job. thank you
most welcome
Good work bro. Thank you,how can I know exactly sizes of pvc pipe fittings ?
What is the list of materials used in this? Can you please specify.
Anybody build this and got real world results? Requires eventual flush out? Will this work in Florida for a solo off-grid(er) who will be using it for table scraps and bathroom? Also, no need to scrub/filter the biogas for impurities?
Yes I think I have to watch this a dozen times making a list of things to buy. Then I will label each part and where it connects. Then I will probably make a drawing of the tank ( I am not good at drawing). Then after (IF) I can follow the demonstration, where do I put the Slury/waste and manure? It must cost a lot that tube machine cutter. And the tubes' measurement and the connector parts sizes, what do I say in the hardware shop, they will probably send me away if I don't know the identifying parts, hays...!
Thats a great effort my dear . Keep it up
Good video.
thank you
Don’t it make leakages ?? Do epoxy putty works well??
Is the outlet pipe above the waste or also buried in the waste
I need one ready-made one peas please how many cast it's..
If anyone puts huge amount of normal air inside a biogas plant (drum) through a high pressure air pump, then what will be happened? I'm asking you that if anyone puts 5 kg of normal air inside a biogas plant or drum, then will this drum be able to produce 5 kg of extra methane gas or flammable gas?
I needs to know please what is the ingredients you are putting in the
digester to created this chemical reaction in the biogas digestor
hello, just cow manure in the beginning phase and we continued wit kitchen waste
@@avimakesstuff703 what is the ratio of slurry manure to water ratio in reference with the tank capacity or size? say if I use 200 liters tank how to mix the slurry? water to dung ratio, and also how much fruits or veggies to feed the slurry.
I can see the outlet don't have a gate valve (locker),won't the gas escape through the outlet?
Is this model working perfectly
00 7 yes It does
Must the outlet pipe let open all the time?
Hello avinash, can you teach me how to build a bigger version...
Wah, This Question, I need to ask you DR. hahahahhah
Maturnuwun yo mas ilmune bermanpaat...
Dolan2 gon cenelku barang....😀
I have done some but it's not working can u please tell me what is wrong
Hi ! What have you done and what is not working
I would suggest you study on biogas theory, On how to actually produce gas
I'd love an update video where you show how it functions and how much gas it produces on average.
I wish I could do that but unfortunately I discontinued the project so I wont be able to show how much gas. But ill have a video explaining in detail on the inner workings of the digestor and theoretical aspects of the digester.
Its still in production as I wish to explain it in greater detail
@@avimakesstuff703 Cool thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it.
@@avimakesstuff703 It might be worth making another one though if you've got the time because the practical tips on using it is what I'd be most interested.
Thank you
Could you tell me the sise of the pipes and fittings you are using
in the video desc
there are schematics
Great video. At 11:44 can I know what did you use to connect the gas tube to the pipe. I am referring to the white screw connecter like thing. Also will be great if you can give a whole list of all the items used with their sizes. Thanks
Thanks for the support. Yes, that's what we used in this build. I found that piece in a hardware store and it fits my connections. It's actually a heater pipe connector for the household water heater. Alright, will do. Thanks for the support.
Does gas escape through the inlet and outlet pipes?
surprisingly it didnt
because its shorter than the gas outlets, hence gas rises to the tallest point
Hello, I don't understand why on step 4, you use the blinds onto the tank connectors on the barrel ? it's is for security ? I don't get the science on that. Thank you
oh those are just unused so I had to cap them off
What is the need for drilling 3 holes on the side of the barrel
Good quality video, just cannot acces the files :/
Did it work???????????????????????????????????
well yes
Great work dude. I just need the complete details.
description has a drive file
Do we need any kinda bacteria or Chemical to speed up the process?
Yes, Ananrobic digestion is a whole different process,
👍👍❤️
Thank you for sharing your idea. I ask permission to use this to my channel, hoping your approval thank you
What different kinds of fuel/waste can you use? Does it need to be shit and food waste or can it also just be food waste with maybe something else?
you can use yeast or anykind of anarobic bacteria
Does it work?
Yes sir
Hello guys, I am not able to find the screwed parts anywhere like the tank connectors and sockets. Have anyone shipped the material from somewhere and can tell me about the source? Thank you.
Bro I have seen in many models the outlet slurry is from the bottom to top of the tank what is it's advantage
Me too i have a question how would slurry go up?
This is also a puzzle to me, for the outlet slurry to come out of the pipe, the slurry or water level inside the tank should be full actually more than full capacity up to the level of the output pipe angle connector. Something is not right here.
Sir
Can we add both kitchen waste and cow dung? Once in how many days should we add? How long will it take to produce gas? What is the side holes used for? What is the slurry thing in the outlet? To know the gas level can we connect a transparent water bottle in the gas pipe line? For how long it will burn?
So, where do I take the dump?... Inside the inlet?
I mean you will take the dump in the toilet hahahah. But waste goes into the inlet
Can you all the sizes of all parts that used for this tank in a order so that anyone could buy from a hardware without a hassle.
Thank you for the wonderful presentation. Just a question, in case gas escapes to the atmosphere at the time of tapping, can't it explode/catch fire?
in an enclosed space , yes it will explode. make sure its in an open area
Thank you so very much for this. Can the gas produce cater to the cooking for 8 family members?
you might need a bigger digesetr, try a 200L one '
@@avimakesstuff703 Thank you!
how do u get the gas from there to your propane stove?
later on in the build, we replaced the two-way gas valve with a three-way gas valve. So when we want to use the gas, we twisted the tap to channel the gas from the gas storage to the propane stove and shut off the channel from the digester. Hope that helps.
How long would that gas last from that container should you let it run continuously?
well in an optimum system, you should be able to get a full bag of gas and about 30 minutes of cooking time
@@avimakesstuff703 30 minutes per day?
@@arnelzablan1498 i never experimented on that part. but some videos do propose that you can achieve that result with a much bigger digester.
How would you able to use that?! U think it's fake!
You didn't tell us what did you do with the 3 holes drilled in the barrel body
They are just extra drainage holes, You can just drill one in the bottom if you want
how u seal the top of the barrel
using silicone sealant and the ring around the lid
Can we build this without the exact same dimensions
Sudeb Hazra yes you can
