    Raelan, you are doing amazing work, creating a global paradigm shift around this condition, demonstrating that recovery is indeed possible. You are giving hope to so many people who (sometimes desperately) need it. It is a tremendous gift to the world. I know you also work a regular job and that this channel must take a lot of your time (editing the videos, timestamps, responding to comments, etc). On behalf of all of us, thank you so much.

    Thank you Raelan for spreading hope and faith in recovery. I noticed that he also talks about thought management or brain retraining. To me that seems to be the key. I feel after a series of stressful events including past traumas etc. there comes a time when your brain gets stuck in the fight or flight mode producing symptoms which eventually become a loop feeding more symptoms. The thoughts that we tell ourselves are mostly related to our symptoms or distress. We need to break that cycle and it seems that is what most brain retraining programs are about and also the key for recovery to move towards the positive even though your current situation and your hormones are keeping you stressed. I can’t wait for your videos on brain retraining because that seems like it’s going to be extremely helpful.

    • @RaelanAgle
      @RaelanAgle  2 года назад +2

      Yes, there do seem to be a lot of people finding success with brain training! It's great to see that there are strategies that are helping people. I will do my best to share more helpful information on this moving forward!

    Not to play skeptic here, but isn’t it worth wondering why many of these people that come on seem to offer their own paid coaching programs? It’s clear Raelan is the real deal, and many of her guests, but there are also many that have made a business out of recovery.
    Not calling this one (or others) a fraud, but it is something worth thinking about. I won’t name names, but I have paid for (rather expensive) services from one of her guests and didn’t find that there was much substance to the program, but then again, some of their other clients seem to be very pleased. Not sure what to make of it.

    Chris I hope you see this, I wondered whether I could ask you:
    1. How did you know when to start doing some form of exercise? Even if it’s one squat! Like how do you know my body wants to do it v wanting deep rest?
    2. What do you think it was, or what was the top couple of things you think that got you from 65% to 90% in only 3 months?

      Hey Row, have a look at my website which is in the link description of this recovery video and look at pillar 4 regarding restorative movement and when to increase.
      What got me from 60-90% in 3 months was all the small baby steps wins (especially the mindset wins ) which happened in the first 3.5 years of recovery started to align and then they stared to create big wins. Hope that helps you ✌️🙏😊

    Chris, at what percentage of recovery were you when you underwent the six hour pancreas surgery (or any of your other surgeries for that matter)? I will eventually have to get an (inguinal) hernia repair and am wondering how close to "normal" I might need to be in order to make it through that without a major setback/relapse.

      @@chrisjamieson4118 Hi. Did you not have a relapse from the effects of the General Anaesthetic? I had a necessary Operation in Sept '20 under GA and it definitely made me far worse. I was several years into the illness at that time, and the op was a huge setback for me physically. I remember telling the Anaestheastist that I needed to not have a certain type of Anaesthetic due to the illness, but recall they looked baffled & were dismissive. They didn't understand the illness. I'm sure my request wasn't followed. Your recovery story is amazing. Good luck 👍

    Here's a question ❓
    Are Me/CFS/Fibromyalgia/Pots same?
    Some doctor diagnosed me with fibromyalgia....
    If CFS and fibromyalgia are same?
    Why does Google says people with CFS can recover but it doesn't says anything about fibromyalgia?

    • @RaelanAgle
      @RaelanAgle  2 года назад

      Of course I don't know the answer to this personally, but people I speak to who are much more informed about these conditions tell me that these different diagnosis are more similar than different, and that it's about addressing the healing mechanisms in our body that matters. And in my experience, Google can give some inaccurate representations about healing potential 😊

    • @julietrees6534
      @julietrees6534 2 года назад +1

      Hi. The difference is that the key feature of ME/CFS is 'Chronic Fatigue', although it is a multisystemic Neurological illness with many other symptoms, including pain. Many people also have PoTS running alongside. With Fibromalgia the key feature is 'pain' without Chronic Fatigue. Many ME/CFS sufferers also have Fibromalgia on top.
