Thanks for the quick response. I did try the iso, however it wouldnt penetrate the glue. Ended up very carefully heating just the glass with a butane cooking torch to remove my old cracked digitizer. All back together with new digitizer and works better than it did before. Great video.

Did you transfer it from your original touch screen digitizer?
on my phone the screen does not look damaged and still works but the just the touch buttons at the bottom dont work, is this to do with the screen or the keypad flex cable?

I did everything like u did. Changed the digitizer and the LCD and it still doesn't sense touch!! What do u think it is?
whats an adhesive ? i need to fix my screen. i think i get that part but idk what an adhesive is used for

Hmm there are 3 ribbons when you open up your Wildfire S. What is the smallest one for? I acidentally broke it (my fault completely) and i was sure the 4 keys wont work since it seems to be connected to them.
Luckly they do work for some reason. Could it be that this ribbon is for something as irrelevant as for lighting up those 4 buttons so u can see them in dark?
Oh, now its just fine....everything was allrigh screen etc. but I figure it out that screen wasnt for that version of my phone...
And now I bought a new one and it is working :D

the set I have are low quality metal and have shredded...i seriously dont want to mess up any component or screws with poor equipment..

my htc wildfire s fell on the floor and the touchscreen isn't working, its not cracked or anything and the phone lights on but you can't phone or send sms etc because the touchscreen is not responding.what could be the fault please?

So my Wildfire S - The screen still displays perfectly however it has become unresponsive. Is this a digitiser replacement job?
Double check the connections and make sure they are secure and not damaged.
Hi I want to buy parts to fix my broken digitizer and my LCD so I can try to fix it myself. However, I was told that the HTC Wildfire S has 3 different models and not all parts I purchase online will work when I replace it. I have the HTC WIldfire S A510e. the screw you removed at 00:52 (top right screw) isnt on my phone. in the hole where it should be, is a tiny sticker that says "VOID". what should i do? the rest of the screws are there

Can i use a solvent to remove the glue to loosen the digitiser? Like isopropyl

I am confused about whether the same digitizer works for both CMDA and GSM versions. You sell two versions, with different numbers, for the same price. Many other vendors sell a single screen and purport that it is for both models. Can you shed any light on that? Thanks.

There could be many things causing this such as previous damage, internal issues, connection issues, or damage to the part you are replacing. You can try to contact where you purchased the part.
When I took off the screen, it seemed in perfect condition, no scratches or nothing
only the front glass part had the cracks, is that how its supposed to look?
also my phone digitizer broke, but it dosent register any touch, if i replace the digitizer would it register touch afterwards?

Hi i have a problem. I replace the broken glass today, do everything correct but when i turn on the mobile, i can write only numbers 4,5,6,7,8,9 and backspace when i want to insert PIN code of Sim card. If i try to tap numbers 1,2,3 the mobile taps wrong numbers 4,5,6 Whats wrong? O_o digitizer under glass was functional before replacing...

Sorry for the second bother, but the interwebz is unclear on this: once the digitizer is swapped out, is there a "software calibration" that has to also be done? Some places say it should just work; others say it will not until the screen has been calibrated.
Actually it would be helpful having a video showing you reassembling it. What glue do I use to reattached the screen?
What was the reason for the repair? Double check the connections and cables for security and damages. See if there are any rips in the touch screen digitizer flex ribbon cable.

I dropped my phone and a small crack appeared across the screen, the phone works but the bottom half of the touch screen doesn't work? Will this video help the problem?
If you replaced the touch screen digitizer then it is possible that the wrong version of touch screen digitizer was ordered.

Hamisxa No I don't recommend using super glue to affix the screen. Please use 3m double sided adhesive. Good Luck

What's the difference between gsm and CDMA? I only really need to retrieve my messages but my phone is also locked with the pattern design lock and my screen cracked still works but not touch. I have the metro pcs version. Is their any way I can get the messages out. Anything will help if I have to repair it so be it. @repairs universe.
HAWKSTA420 GSM is any device that supports a sim card. T-Mobile, AT&T etc. CDMA is for Sprint and Verizon. You may be able to contact HTC for assistance. They may have software available that can extract your messages.

How do we calibrate the screen?
I tried the calibration at "sites.google.com/site/repairlinks",
but I get some "security fail!" message when trying.
I bought a screen from you, and it works but it does seem like it needs calibration. It's possible to use the touchscreen but just barely.
Hi, if the picture on the phone is good and the glass screen is cracked, then i must only change glass screen (touch screen)? or is it posible the LCD pad is out too?

If the LCD picture is good, and no damage. Then yes you can replace the digitizer only. If the LCD has dead pixels or lines threw it then I would recommend replacing both while you have the device apart.

You will need new adhesive, no need to heat. Reverse your steps in this video to place everything back together.

I removed the keypad ribbon and re-attached it and now it won't work =/ Do I need to replace it?
You may want to reset the device and also calibrate for your assurance but it is not required.

What are 'float screws'?
This could be a connection issue. Make sure you installed all ribbons securely.
I broke my screen and now its cracked and unresponsive. If i replaced the digitizer, will it become responsive again?

shaikh abdul Sounds like an issue on the logic board, Double check all your connections.
We don't recommend trying that, you want to avoid using any liquids. You're best bet is using a safe open pry tool such as a spudger, or perhaps a razor blade to cleanly scrape the adhesive.
