If you find the audio weird at times, it's because I had to use Voice Isolation to remove the background music. Over 50% of this movie has copyright music playing while the actors are talking. So I had to cut out the music. It's a little weird to hear at times, but hey, it's better than cutting out most of the movie. Hope you still enjoy it. :)

@@NewfieMovieReactions I agree with the rewatchability too, but I think it's subjective, because I watch it more than 50 times already, I rewatched it twice with the full movie and the rest is through reaction with the highlights scene, I didn't get bored or anything. I remember when I first watch it, I'm in a movie marathon phase and this is the 3rd movie in my list and it's hard for me to go for another movie after interstellar hahaha

This movie is absolutely 𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗟, an undeniable 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘. It’s my all-time favorite film. Watching it in the theater when it first came out in 2014 was pure magic, it completely blew my mind!! But seeing it again a couple days ago 12/08/2024 in the IMAX for its 10th anniversary re-release was mind-blowing too. If you have the opportunity to see it in the IMAX, it's a total CRIME if you miss it! The scale and immersion felt like experiencing it for the first time. Having seen it many times, I found myself often watching the audience in awe of what they were witnessing. The applause at the end was so well deserved and emotional for a movie that still resonates a decade later.
It’s incredible to live in a time when Christopher Nolan, arguably the greatest director of the last 15 to 20 years, is creating work like this. Hans Zimmer, the greatest composer of our generation, adds unmatched brilliance to every moment. Seeing them both at the peak of their creative genius, coming together for this project is pure cinematic magic.
This isn’t just a movie. It’s a masterpiece that has stood the test of time and remains unmatched. For me, it’s the greatest cinematic achievement ever created.

It's not at all a coincidence that you mention his relationship with his daughter at a point where he smiles and the music kicks in.
Christopher Nolan reached out to Hans Zimmer, and threw a challenge at him with no context.
He said "create a theme for a father-daughter relationship." and that classic 'Interstellar' theme is what he came back with. Hans didn't have a script, he didn't have a genre, nothing. The music was solely created on the idea of that father-daughter relationship.

I love the Black Hole scene; as soon as Cooper enters the Black Hole, 'They' take control of his spececraft - that's why the computers go down and the lights go out, etc - and, why he is having difficulty with the stick. They release the 'grains' ("flashes of light and grains") to damage Cooper's spacecraft as they needed to get him out of it and into the tesseract - so when the grains didn't work, they release those flaming rocks. Then when his craft tells him to eject, he simply does as he's told - he trusts the technology, and of course his gut feelings. Then when you see the light on the remnants of the dead star you know there's clearly something or someone there. The idea that there is indeed a way out of a Black Hole is something that's gaining traction in the world of physics these days...

If I stay, my children see me die and then they follow - with no other descendants. Even if my chance of succeeding is probably less than 1%, that still beats 0%. It does help being a person of Faith, since I believe it does not end with our heartbeat. When given the chance to 'Sit it Out' or 'Dance' - always get up and 'Dance', otherwise you don't deserve to at the dance hall.

Binary code and Morse are different by a lot. Binary is only using 1's and 0's such as 110101 111000 101100 110100 110110 is Binary for '58,46'. I didn't see that many lines of gravity so perhaps just 2 numbers and no comma close enough to them he'd recognize the area.
The dots under TARS name appear to be brail, but why paint brail visually seems odd to me.
In order to save humanity or not, I'd go out exploring for possible worlds for humans to inhabit (Lazarous Mission style).
The going to the outside of Millers Planet also makes sense to be in a Lagrange Point to conserve fuel on the main ship.
What I only just noticed this time watching with you is... "As a robot I have to do whatever you say." and Cooper comes back with "Your queue light is broken." Makes me think that's how he knew that Brand was in love with Dr. Wolf Edmunds. When he asked the question his indicator light was on. Perhaps coding so if you pay attention, you know whether the AI is lying.
Manns said "I never imagined that my planet wouldn't be the one" saying in sense this planet is inhabitable.
"You going to wait for your next kid to die" refers to him losing his first born. He mentions it in the 'lost 23 years' messages.
"You were never tested like I was" is an odd thing to say; Romilly was tested and was 'Uncle Iroh' about it. Mann is a coward and put humanity at risk doing what he did. Dr. Mann would have to destroy KIPP since all the data was falsified by Mann.
Was I invested in this movie? I was already in tears a couple times up to this point.
TARS said "Goodbye Dr. Brand, see you on the other side Coop." already letting us know the fate of Cooper; That he'd see him on the other side of The Singularity.
I love the breakdown at the end with the stars and your thoughts on each subject. You do you. For myself I'd prefer you to be authentic and true self.
Re-watchability is higher than you think when you get more out of it each time. Perhaps that's why we love watching reactions, we get the 'watch with a friend' feeling while hitting the highlights.
Until next time, be safe. (Yes, this is all chronological as the video goes)

I love movies like this that present new ways of thinking, because it's time people started expanding their ideas of what reality is. Movies like Arrival, Primer, Deja Vu, Edge of Tomorrow, etc that consider time in new ways; Inception, The Matrix, Source Code, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc explore consciousness; Contact and Arrival again on how interstellar travel might occur. It's a little annoying that so many movies still go with the idea that interstellar travel will happen with the means we use on Earth currently (e.g. taking generations to get anywhere), when it's more likely that travel will occur interdimensionally - an example being changing the resonant frequency of where you are to where you want to go, and then just appearing there (like in Arrival). Anyway, the future is exciting 🖖🏽

I'm not one who cries. I feel the emotions but for me it's in the form of goosebumps on my arms. Not sure why I don't cry. Maybe my tear ducts don't work. LoL. Very emotional movie for sure.

I disagree with you three-stars for 're-watchability.' I have seen it at least 7-time (never in IMAX, so far), and I own the Blu-Ray. I would give it 4.5 stars in that category, and 'honestly', I would doc them at one point because Dr. Mann. Though that character is needed, there were other actors that could have played that role much better, and not come away disgust as much in the end (due to his 'Good Guy' rep). Some of that was probably the script, and maybe some of casting, since they probably used him to invoke more disgust than was needed.

Your rating system is quite flawed. Acting and cinematography are pretty much the director's main priorities - guiding the performances and visual language of the film. You gave those aspects a perfect 5/5 score and then the person helming them a 3? Pacing should be a category of its own and not mixed with direction and you should tie the directing more with the acting and cinematography.

Your review started out good, the give you 3 stars after that. Hans zimmer soundtrack is a 5. Nolan a 5, rewatchability a 5. This is a perfect movie. Curious, what is better than this film for you?

I gave 5 in most categories, except 4 stars for music. I think a full 5 would be something like Lord of the Rings soundtrack. The only 3 I gave was for rewatchability. I don't think Interstellar is the kind of film that is rewatched often like, Elf or Home Alone at Christmas time, or other films that have a cult following like Back To The Future or Ghostbusters that say they have to watch it multiple times per year. Again this is just my opinion. It will extremely rare for me to give a movie a full 5 out of 5 in every category. Although, maybe it will be possible. It's all subjective.
I mean look at Rotten Tomatoes and how many times they rate amazing movies with a very poor rating. and they give other trash movies very high ratings. Hell, even back in the day Siskel & Ebert gave Ace Ventura a trash review saying it's the worst movie they ever seen, and it went on to be a huge success and jump start Jim Carrey's career. Movies are a work of art and they impact people different ways. I mean like, I almost never cry during films, however, I nearly cried during Guardians of the Galaxy 3. LOL.

I rate this film higher than you: best SF movie ever.
It isn’t time travel, as many reactors think. It is a sound, philosophical idea that is at least 1,500 years old this year. It was conceived by Boethius (480-524) in the last year of his life and discussed in his book, "The Consolation of Philosophy," considered one of the most important works of medieval philosophy.
To explain how God’s omniscience can be reconciled with human free will, Boethius conceived the idea that, for God, all time exists simultaneously (because God exists outside of time). Inside the tesseract, Cooper experiences God’s time, which suggests that the fifth-dimensional beings (i.e., our future selves) have evolved to a godlike state. This conception of God’s time is still held today by many Evangelicals and other Christian sects.
I believe the idea is even older, because in Virgil’s “Aeneid” (1st century B.C.), Aeneas visits the underworld, where all the dead, past and future, exist together.

1:56 yes, the "dust bowl" did in fact happen, in the 1930s, most people learned about it in grade school, or at least by jr high. but then again you are young and probably went to school after our schools stopped teaching math, writing, grammar, spelling, and history, and began teaching 123 genders, and how to use google.
