There’s something unique about the ARK soundtrack. Both recognisable and incredibly striking. Ever since the first time I heard the ARK menu music, I haven’t been able to get it out of my head.
This one in particular is a bit nostalgic with a very deep feeling of wonder and adventure.
Are we going to get the ASA track here too? Cause that’s another banger!!!
Your work deserves so much more attention. I'd give just about anything to see some of it performed live. Keep being legendary!

I asked him about this when he visited Neddythenoodles livestream. He said he would definitely love to set one up but I think he is worried he wouldnt get a good turnout. Also pretty sure he stated if he was to host an event it would be in USA. If he reads this pleeeease perform at home in the UK 😂
@@Firenbrimstone I'd be able to travel a little bit to go to it, but not all the way to the UK lol. And the chances of a performance being held within 300 miles of Albuquerque New Mexico is pretty slim. Like, I'll probably get hit by a meteor before that happens Lol

This specific one in this key (Bansuri are made in lots of different lengths for different keys) has only ever been used in ARK (but yes, it's the same player as my other stuff and her same sound, but the motif played here sounds very unique on this specific bansuri)

This just hits different. No matter how many times I play it, it's always the same. An absolute masterpiece. I have no words to describe how this soundtrack makes me feel. It's truly something special.

I cannot even describe how much impact the soundtrack for ark you made had on my life. It's so amazing with so much detail, sometimes I had shiveres listening to it (especially with the overseer theme, broodmother theme, the origin of combat and the megapithecus). You are the one who got me into music. I wish that some day, I might be able to make something thats half as good as your scores. Thank you for bringing so much joy to me with all your scores throughout your career.
Some of my Friends are HUGE fans of the ARK series, they aren’t music heads like I am, but one thing is for sure and that is that they swear that the music hits, that’s how you know the music is fantastic, of course besides the fact that you wrote it!
Personal favorite of mine from the Survival evolved soundtrack is the Dragon! I’ll definitely have to cover that one!

Gareth, ark’s music has always been absolutely incredible, and I think this might be one of your best tracks yet. I am curious where this will be played in game, credits maybe? I LOVE ark ascended’s new menu theme also, it has such a new and fresh feel to it. It’s perfect! Can’t wait to hear what you write for this game next!

This song has taken it's place as my new favorite of all the ARK theme's, with Aberration Title theme coming now in second, and Tek Cave in Third. Your work only gets better and better. Thank your for all the wonderful musical memories across the ARKs!

ARK Survival Evolved was a fantastic game and really has a special place in my heart.
ARK's music has impacted me even greater. It is now the pinnacle to which I compare literally any other music to.
I cannot get over the amazing brilliance of the soundtrack and how impactful it is in all the right moments.
The music is near perfect! from emotional and inspiring (We Aren't Meant to Live Forever), mysterious and foreboding (Tek Cave and Hall of History), awe inspiring and commanding (The Dragon), to downright near greatest orchestral beat drop of all time (End Credits). ARK's music and Gareth Coker's feelings all hit just the right way!

I have a playlist of gaming songs and it feels like 1/2 of that list is just Gareth Coker between Ori, Ori 2, ARK, and Fenyx Rising
My personal wish is that if all the stories from ARK Island to Genesis Part 2 are made into movies, this music is perfect for the ending credits of the movie and will give a deep lingering impression at the same time.
I dont think Ark would be half as good without its music...Try a boss fight without the music people!! Gareth is amazing....and the heart of Ark with its music......I just want to say thankyou Gareth for your beautiful input to this game that makes so much of a difference that i think many people dont realise.....Ark is nothing without its soundtrack!!! nothing! so thank you Gareth. xxx

My question is why does everything have the genesis 2 theme in it? It's a great song, don't get me wrong, but the OG ark theme is WAAAY better!

The Genesis 2 theme is based off the OG theme. The main melodic line is very similar - certainly the first part, the harmony is a little different.
The original ARK theme has a triplet feel - it makes it feel more 'adventurous' and 'exciting' but the triplet feel is (to me) actually more limiting in terms of what can be done emotionally with the theme. I don't believe the same emotional effect would be achieved if we stuck the OG theme onto the end of this piece (at 3:08). That's just my opinion of course, but hey, I get to make those choices!
That's not to say the OG main theme won't return at some point, but it *has to be the right time and place*. Gen 2 theme has served its purpose sunsetting ARK SE and bridging the gap to ASA, so who knows what's next....
