    First mod in my book is the suspension & brakes, followed by the driveline and power upgrades. The superficial things like exterior and interior is the last two on the list.

    Lol @ 4:45. When I called to get some info on their suspension options for my s550 and what the best option for my needs would be, they kept asking me if I checked out the videos online instead of asking me open ended discovery questions. I obviously checked the videos and none addressed my specific questions...
    BC Racing took my $2k instead...

    First is always shift knob. Driver interfaces! Second is tires. And depending how the car reacts to tires sway bars or alignment. After that the car will tell you what it needs

  • @peterwho9380

    Lowering your car as one of the first mods isn't always a good thing! I bought the Eibach Pro kit lowering springs the same time as my Cervini front lower bumper chin and this wouldn't have gone well if I had installed the springs first. The Cervini chin drops your front end by 3+ inches and if you added the springs on top of that mod good luck trying to clear speed bumps and entering driveways! It was already a challenge going onto driveways with the Cervini chin and had to send the springs back to AM for a refund. One of the BEST and most important mod for the S550 platform is "Steeda Stop The Hop Kit", no doubt...

    I need more traction at the drag strip. I have your lowering spring setup and the stop- the- hop kit. I also have a set of your Trident 19"wheels wrapped with Nitto 555RII drag radials. But I seem to be spinning no matter what I do both on launch, unless I barely hit the the throttle, and when I shift into 3rd. So I was thinking maybe a smaller wheel like the 17" then use a MT drag tire. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    if you do an alignment with around 2.8-3 degrees neg camber in the front you'll have a great setup for the tack and the street. of course if you're doing lots of track you'll want some good track brake pads. only downfall to the street is that are super dirty. I would not suggest a set of expensive show rims in that instance as some of that brake dust just won't come off. next thing is tires i run goodyear F1 supercar 3R. they have the most insane grip in warm sunny conditions at the track. i do keep a set of wheels with all seasons kicking around for the colder or wet days. but I'm more track and performance oriented over style. i think stock the S550 is just a great looking car, it really doesn't need much

  • @hassaan89
    @hassaan89 Год назад +5

    First mod should be suspension/chassis bracing/differential bracing,
    Next wheels and tires,
    Lastly, start adding power: if na then headers, cai, e85 tune is enough, if boost then consider the ess blower.

    I just got a grabber blue 2022 GT with the 10 speed, (it's only up to 1200 miles) and my goal for starters is to get 500 naturally aspirated horsepower. But first, my specific question is about exhaust. I have seen youtube videos of Mustangs with H-pipe mid-mounted exhaust. I love the old-school musclecar rumble it gives, but would it then make the car insufferably loud inside, with too much drone?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  Год назад +3

      If you're talking about a resonator delete, we haven't had any complaints about drone with our H-pipe. Now if you combine that with louder mufflers or even headers, that's where too much drone starts to be an issue. Check out some of the reviews here --> www.steeda.com/steeda-555-3619-s550-h-pipe

      @michaelrodgers6559 Год назад

      In the rear: Locate and lock the rear subframe with delrin sleeves and a subframe lockout kit, respectively. Differential bushing inserts, vertical links, adjustable camber and toe arms. Adjustable sway bar and linkages. You could go one step further and put spherical bearings on the lower control arms and on the knuckle where the toe arm connects (im about to do this soon) and you'll be rid of any unnecessary deflection and bind.
      Up front: ditch the stock control arms and replace them with ones that have spherical bearings at the inboard ends.
      Once you've done this, you've taken all the unnecessary deflection and bind out of the front end.
      With that done, you can justify a coilover setup because the deflection and bind being gone means your coilover (and alignment) adjustments will actually be definite and meaningful. You can also get adjustable tie rod ends to correct bumpsteer if you're lowering the car more than an inch or so with the coilovers. Another thing to look for if you live the low life is adjustable front main control arms with roll center correction (longer ball joint to correct the angle of the control arm) which I've just recently started seeing offered by at least one manufacturer.
      TIRES. TIRES TIRES TIRES.
      I've done most of this to my 17 GT, and handling wise I'll gladly match it up against any factory stock dealership sold s550 with a smile.

    The only Mod's I care about are structure related.. Stop the Hop and Ass Drop of the ass end is what I want, plus GT350 like wheels/tires for better handling and power delivery.. Once I do, 1.braided clutch line, 2.catch can, 3. Drive shaft/carbon fiber, 4. Wheels/tires 5. Stop the Hop/Ass drop, and then I will start looking at superchargers and everything that comes with that.. I am poor so my money won't go to tail lights and spoilers or crap like that.. Personally, some new headlights, a spoiler, louvers, diffuser, and bumper are perfect to make the thing turn heads the way i want it to. I’d rather spend my money on cosmetics that wont ruin my car in the long run then to spend thousands fucking with the engine and dealing with the headaches of check engine lights and oil leaks.
