    Not sure if you realized that, when Snape shared his memories with Harry, the patronus of Harry's mother was the doe, and, after her death, it became Snapes' patronus. When Harry found the sword, he was guided by the doe--in other words, Snape helped him find it. When Snape showed Dumbledore his patronus, Dumblemore asked, "After all this time?" because the poatronus can change over time, but Snape answered "Always" because he had truly and deeply loved Lily and was saying that would never change. As Snape died, he wanted to see Harry's eyes because they were also Lily's eyes. The last thing he wanted to see was her eyes. So beautiful and sad!!

    Harry DID die, but Dumbledore said Harry could choose to go on or return. Harry sacrificed himself, not knowing he could return. Draco's mother saw Harry was alive again and asked him if Draco was alive. Remember that Harry saved Draco from the fire, so he was able to truthfully let her know Draco had survived. Because of that, she protects Harry by lying and telling Voldemort and the deatheaters that Harry was indeed dead.

    • @joshuacoldwater
      @joshuacoldwater 8 месяцев назад +17

      No. No he didn’t die. Voldemort killed the horcrux that was within Harry (his scar) and it knocked him out. I read the books, I’ve watched the films, Harry even asks “Dumbledore” if they were speaking in his head and he says yes. A lot of people like to believe that is actually Dumbledore, but it is made a lot clearer that it is Harry’s imagining of Dumbledore. At zero point in any of these films or books has Harry Potter been dead, especially caused by Voldemort. JK wouldn’t have even let that happen for 5 seconds of time.

      Harry did not die actually. Voldemort is literally incapable of killing Harry since he took in his blood when he was reborn. The movies dont explain it, but from the moment Voldemort came back he was incapable of ever killing Harry himself. He was knocked out from the spell, but not killed.

    • @captbunnykiller1.0
      @captbunnykiller1.0 8 месяцев назад +21

      @@rocketmunkey1 That is a misconception. The Ressurection Stone does not ressurrect anyone, it only makes those who are dead visible to those who love them. Harry did not die because first, the Elder Wand was his, it would not attack its own master only the parasite inside of him. Voldemort seems to have known that, because he did not kill Snape with the wand, but rather ordered Nagini to do it. His mistake was that he didn't know who the master was and that he had a piece of himself. And second, there was still some protection from his mother's sacrifice. Dumbledore did not give Harry the Stone to revive him, but rather to give him the courage to sacrifice himself. It doesn't come across in the movies, but in the books it is said that after Harry sacrificed himself, nobody else in Hogwarts died, because they were protected by the same spell Lily had used.

      I read recently that When Voldemort used Harry’s blood to reincarnate in he became a horcrux for Harry so the final killing curse in the Dark Forest rebounded and killed both Harry’s and Voldemort’s horcruxi. The Dumbledore soul in King’s Cross Station was the other residual piece that was dead but Harry had the choice to return while Voldemort still had one more horcrux tying him to life in Nigini (the snake).

    Yes, Ron and Hermione knew that Harry had to die because, as a horcrux, Harry being alive means Voldemort can't be truly killed as part of his soul lives within Harry. That's why Hermione cried so hard and Ron looked so stricken when Harry said part of him had always known that's why he could hear the other horcruxes. Think of Harry's death as what we now call a near death experience where a person dies but is brought back from the dead. He saw the afterlife and was able to talk to the dead Dumbledore, but he was given the choice to return to life. The part of Voldemort's soul within Harry died when he died, so he no longer carried even a trace of Voldemort's soul. That could not survive because, if it had, Voldemort could return again. I hope it's clearer to you now that Harry did die but came back to life.

Harry become Head of the Aurors Department... Hermione becomes Head of Magical Law Department, but we discover in 'The Cursed Child' she ultimately becomes Minister of Magic. Neville marries Hannah Abbot (a Dumbledore's Army member- in all the books, but not the films)- she manages the Leaky Caldron and Neville takes over teaching Herbology at Hogwarts. • @tylercanale2655
    @tylercanale2655 8 месяцев назад +13

    so the sword had nothing to do with Harry not dying. the sword is capable of killing horcruxes and that's why it was able to kill Nagini. if you remember back in the forest when he found the sword in the lake they used it to destroy the locket. it has magic capable of destroying horcruxes, similar to the basilisk fang.
    as for why Harry didn't die, it's a little confusing but it all has to do with the 4th book/movie. when Voldemort was revived in the graveyard with Harry's blood, he unknowingly caused his own demise. essentially, to paraphrase, Voldemort taking Harry's blood inside himself caused Lily's protection to go into himself as well. this essentially turned Harry into a "positive horcrux" of sorts, meaning that as long as Voldemort was alive, Harry couldn't actually die. when Harry is telling Dumbledore what happened there is a brief moment where Harry sees a glimmer of hope in his eyes and that's due to the fact that Dumbledore now knows Harry doesn't have to die anymore. up until that point he was operating under the assumption that regrettably Harry had to die for the greater good but Voldemort unknowingly created a loophole.
    the key to all of it was keeping him in the dark though. he had to go willingly, expecting to die and not put up a fight otherwise it would not have worked. that's why Harry just stood there and accepted it. additionally, there is a little scene in the book that isn't shown here but when Harry "dies" he casts the same protective charm that his mother gave him, over everyone. so Voldemort's spells would be unable to hurt anyone anymore.
    hopefully that helps clear things up as to why he didn't die!

    In one of the scenes cut from this movie, after Harry reveals himself alive, Draco ran to the other side and yelled "HARRY!!!" and threw his wand towards Harry so he could defend himself from Voldemort. I wish it wasn't cut because that was a huge redemption for Draco, especially after Harry saved his life.

    Ok…still a few mins to go, but that bloody thing under the bench in the white station was the piece of Voldemort that use to live in Harry. Like I said, the movie did a terrible job of relating the details from the book.
    When Voldemort regenerated into his own body…he took Harry’s blood to do it. That put the protection from Lilly into both of them. He could not kill Harry because of that.
    But he could kill that piece of himself.
    There are sooooo many details left out of the films.
    In book 4…when Harry tells Dumbledore that Voldemort took his blood to make his new body…Dumbledore had a flash of triumph in his eye knowing that by doing so…Voldemort basically killed himself with that move.
    The details go on and on.
    I have read all the books probably more then 20 times each. Not much I don’t know or understand

    Harry is the Master of Death- he had all three Hallows- the cloak had been in his family for centuries, the stone was in the snitch- Dumbledore put it there- taking it from the ring he found and tried on- poisoning his hand- leading to his death- the ring/stone was a horcrux (it was a heirloom from Voldemort's mother's family, the Gaunts- as was the locket)... then the Elder Wand- Draco disarmed Dumbledore- he was the new Master of it, until Harry disarmed him at Malfoy Manor- right before Dobby died...Having them kept him alive when Voldemort 'killed' him.

    Nagini is the snake and that was a horcrux as well, the Sword of Gryffindor when Harry in his second year killed the bacillus. The bacillus Venom basically combined with the sword to make it stronger and that's why it's able to destroy horcruxes. Because the bacillus Venom is very toxic.

    I don't know if you all got lost in what's happening at the end when Harry is defeated by Voldie .. He was knocked out. Why he didn't die .. Cause the Elder Wand won't kill its owner . Let me explain.
    Draco Disarms Dumbliedore in The Half Blood Prince.. Making the wand . ( The Elder Wand ) No longer Dumbledores although the wand didn't change hands till Voldie took it from Dumbledore's grave .. Still the wand wasn't earned by Voldie .
    Draco was disarmed by Harry in Deathly Hallows 1. Making The Elder Wand Harrry's .. So when Voldie used the Killing Curse on Harry it killed the piece of Voldemort that was ATTACHED to Harry's soul. So Harry is no longer a Horecrux. That's what was under the bench in the between world was Voldies portion of his soul.. It was on the verge of death.
    I know it's kinda explained in the movie ..But Never hurts to clarify ..

    According to JK Rowling the author of Harry Potter, Harry and Ron decided to not finish school and instead became Aurors (dark wizard catchers like Mad Eye Moody) at the Ministry of Magic. After several years Ron retires from his job at the Ministry and went to work with George Weasley at the joke shop to help him out. Harry eventually became Head of Auror Office and Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
    Hermione did go back to Hogwarts after the Battle to finish school and graduated. At one point she went to look for her parents and returned their memories. Later after she graduated she started working at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic and helped to create laws to protect and improve the lives of sentient magical creatures like house elves, goblins and centaurs to name a few. Much later Hermione eventually became Minister of Magic.
    Neville Longbottom became the new Herbology professor at Hogwarts and marries the Hufflepuff student Hannah Abbott who is the grandchild of the owner of The Leaky Cauldron.
    Luna became a Magizoologist and married Newt Scamander's (the fictional author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find) grandson, Rolf Scamander. Together they travel the world looking for rare magical beasts.
    Professor McGonagall became the new Hogwarts headmistress.
    Before Ginny married Harry she became a professional Quidditch player. After she retired she started writing sports articles for the Daily Prophet wizarding newspaper.
    Harry and Ginny had three kids together. If I recall the names right, the eldest son was named James Sirius. The second born is Albus Severus. And the youngest child is Lily Luna. Harry is the godfather to Remus and Tonks' son, Teddy Lupin and made sure he was well provided for.
    Ron and Hermione's children is Rose and Hugo.
    Draco's child is Scorpius Malfoy. Lucius Malfoy again got away scot free with his crimes as a Deatheater like he did after the first war when Harry was a baby where he convinced the Ministry that he was forced to do what he did. Draco got a job at the Ministry and remained on friendly and respectful terms with Harry after the Battle of Hogwarts.
    Umbridge was sent to Azkaban for her crimes.
    Hagrid remained a professor at Hogwarts but never married.
    George Weasley married Angelina Johnson who had been Fred Weasley's date for the Yule Ball in Goblet of Fire.
    Harry and Dudly remained on friendly terms and stayed in touch with each other to the point that they even would send each other Christmas cards every year.
    Harry, Ron and Hermione in time were each later featured on Chocolate Frog Cards.
    There are more stories like that that can be read in the Wizarding World website and also found in documentaries with JK Rowling where she goes into family tree details after the Battle of Hogwarts.

    31:00 The Horcrux.died when Voldemort did the killing curse . When Harry was in his scene with Dumbledore, that shrivelled creature under the seat was Voldemort's soul. So Harry survived because Voldemort killed the horcrux.
    Harry nodded saying Draco was alive to let Narcissa (Draco's mom) know he was OK. Narcissa here then lied to Voldemort because she cared about her child and this was a way to help Harry. When you read the books, you will learn what is called a 'life debt'.
    41:50 "that guy" who killed the snake is Neville Longbottom. You know the one who was the forgetful and clumsy one that wss bullied all the time. So it was significatnt it was him that the.sword presented itself to before Voldemort brought Harry's body back to Hogwarts. The sword presented itself because Neville was a worthy Gryffindor, juat like Harry in the 2nd movie (Chamber of Secrets). The sword also has magical defensive powers as well, which is why Neville only was sort of knocked out and not outright killed when he took that direct blast.
    42:50 the goblin wanted the sword because it was goblin made. It was made by his kin. It wasn't about the importance of the horcruxes, but simply his people created it. To him it was a pricelss artifact.
    43:28 Harry does use the Elder Wand for a spell. That is inside the books. I won't spoil the book for you there, but will give you the urge to read it, he does use it before destroying it. But for good cause.

    Harry had the Resurrection Stone, so when he dropped it in the forest & turned it "thrice in hand" and it saved his life when Voldemort hit him with the Avada Kedavra curse in the forest, it actually killed the Horcrux inside of Harry. Voldemort actually killed a part of himself. That nasty little beast under the bench in the train station (Heaven) was the dying Horcrux that had been inside Harry it was just left there to die.

    I loved watching this again through someone’s else’s eyes. It’s nearly as good as seeing it for the first time.
    I wish I could wipe my memories of the books and read them all again for the first time.
    Can’t wait for the series, I’m hoping they get good actors, hope they don’t make it too childish and that they fit in all the great stuff they had to leave out of the movies.
    There’s so much in the books that the movies left out.
    It’s actually a great book series to adapt into a tv show.
    And it also has an ending which means they can plot it out better.
    I guess the only negative would be that we essentially know what’s going to happen.
