Just shared this with a young kid at the bus stop who had some drum sticks in his pocket. Said he been playing a year. I was like...keep going and this is what you can get to one day. Always like to share inspiring music performances with people who are just starting. It can really make the difference between people getting bored with playing. Experienced players take the knowledge of other players and different kinds of music forgranted sometimes. I remember when I first discovered higher level music and realized just how much possibility there is with your instrument of choice.
In my book, best drummer on the planet. Have always loved his skill. Can play with and flash at the same ttime. People, please get your kids into playing an instrument. Its one of greatests gifts you can give them.
35 years ago I sat in that room learning from so many great drummers. And so many still playing, teaching and performing in that hallowed hall of education! Met Tony in '03 at House of Blues with Marco Minneman and still have the shirt he signed! Awesome...
In 03 Tony would have still been pretty young. I first saw him in that famous video of him at 12 years old when I was. In my early 20s. So he couldn't have been much older or maybe even younger than 12 in 03? Crazy how good he was as a kid and now...just wow. I'd love a chance to play some guitar with him on the kit...
@@jedimindtrix2142 wrong Tony would’ve been 19 years old in 03 and obviously a total professional by that time. Marco Minnemann would’ve been 33 himself. Both are still elite players and have gotten even better
Awesome. I've been playing since I was six years old. And I WISH. I had his skills. The way he does his rythem patterns and throw some rudiments in there at the same time.🥁. His speed is off the chain man ! Good job Tony. I'mma keep practicing my brother.
@@bengtwahlstedt1021 he has power, chops, speed and great dynamics. Hard to call anyone the best in the world because theirs so many different style but Tony Royster jr is definitely one of the best in the world
Mike Mangini is way faster. Check out his stuff from 2002 in China and Steve Vai's show drum solo in 2002. He looks like he is sped up. Terry Bozzio in 1998 was faster as well. He looked like he was sped up playing Klangfarben Melodie. Unfortunately Terry started slowing up around 2016. Mike Mangini is not as fast as he used to be either, but in their prime they were the fastest I have ever seen. It's not just the arm and hand movements, it's their body movements that look unreal.
it's a shame he is so skillful but has little to no flow at all at his solos. being able to play anything is certainly unique and cool but being able to play and flow through different soundscapes is something else.
@@patrickomann3580 you know you are absolutely right. I certainly know very very little if at all about drums. This was just a random thought that crossed my mind while watching the video. Your comment is a good reminder of that. This guy absolutely blasts on drums. It's just not so much of my taste the way he does if I am being honest and thoughtful about my perspective.
Dude is just sick..I still remember seeing him that first time when he was like 12 doing that solo.
Same, it's so cool seeing him nowadays.
No one is allowed to be this good before they're 40. Truly MASTERFUL.

BEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD
THERE IS NO BEST DRUMMER !!! JUST DIFFERENT STYLES !!!!
Such a young genius.

Sin duda , el mejor batería del mundo !!!!! Lo sigo desde hace muchos años y que siga por muchísimos años más 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤘
That's some serious skills. 😮
This is the FASTEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD!!! HOLY SHIT, MAN!!! AHHHMAZING!!
TO BE FAST IS NOT MAKE YOU THE BEST DRUMMER !!!!

Check out Lorna Shore's drummer. I hate metal, but that guy is alien, and his feet are faster than tony's hands.
CJ Thompson has speed, precision and accuracy.
tony royster top one drummer
Art.
1:40: WTF was that?!😱 That:s insane!!
Unreal.
Top 5 best ever
Most defintly the floyd mayweather of drums hes one of the undefeated ones
I would add Virgil Donati on the list and a few others
props to sound engineer, shit sounds amazing
Uno de los mejores q he admirado desde joven...%100
Drumming is not a competition...but Tony won anyway
Incredible it is then Now he’s leveled out through the years I don’t hear much of him He’s definitely a gifted drummer though
He works alot bro.touring with numerous artists..
It's because drummers never get the spotlight when we're always put in the back of the stage
I love the way Tony hears the music.
What’s happening with Tony? Not heard of him in a bit, how’d he manage to fizzle out this way
He plays for at least 5 different acts incl. JayZ, Beyonce and Norah Jones.
1:05 insane
Dang Mang!
Tony's solo drumming sounds like a hybrid mix of dennis chambers and terry bozzio infused styles.
やっぱりロイスターJrは凄いな
2:30: That's fucking tasty!😜🤘
I use this Beat to Clean out the Cobwebs and back to Clear Thinking 🤔
WarspirsoldierGoincrazy 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Creía que era insuperable hasta que conocí al estepario siberiano😮 💪

Les porte du penitencier
His musicality sounds heavily influenced by Neil Peart.
Decent circus act .. No music.
Your comment was the only circus act 🤡
His single-stroke roll doesn't seem so good, actually...🤔
Whatever ☹️💅

Nah it definitely flows, maybe not in a way you'd prefer but the flow is absolutely there if you're paying attention.
Just because you can't understand a language, doesn't invalidate the language, only yourself

This guy buries Neil Peart
