JOJ never just sings the song...he is not just a singer in a recording studio....he IS the Phantom!!....that magnificent voice is so seductive...I d be his Christine anyday!!
To Aussie..You know the first time I saw him on line in Phantom he knocked my Sox off too! And that was10 yrs ago, been a PHAN ever since. He's in a class all by himself.
What an unusual, clever arrangement! There is an ominous, tragic quality to it, unlike most versions that just play up the sexiness. Plus, I am glad there is finally a professionally recording of Owen Jones performing this song. I will definitely be downloading it.
John Owen-Jones is the best singer in phantom ever. I gave my dad a message from him on Cameo and he was so nice and funny. And Mira was so good in this!
Forever crying over this fine Welsh man. The best Phantom EVER. How I wish I could see him live especially with Katie Hall or at least a full video of them in poto. I love U Mr Owen Jones.
Oh what an absolute gem. This took me back to nearly 30 years ago when I first saw Phantom. A fantastic arrangement to one of the best songs in the show. Both singers are just incredible.
Wow. My favorite some from phantom and this version just gave me so many chills. I absolutely love love LOVE this rendition and arrangement l, bravo 👏 🖤❤️🔥
Phantom You have come here In pursuit of your deepest urge In pursuit of that wish which till now Has been silent, silent I have brought you That your passions may fuse and merge In your mind I've already succumbed to me Dropped all defences Completely succumbed to me Now you are here with me No seconds thoughts You've decided, decided Past the point of no return No backward glances Our games of make-believe Are at an end Past all thought of if or when No use resisting Abandon thought And let the dream descend What raging fire shall flood the soul? What rich desire unlocks its door? What sweet seduction lies before us? Past the point of no return The final threshold What warm unspoken secrets will we learn? Beyond the point of no return Christine You have brought me To that moment where words run dry To that moment where speech disappears Into silence, silence I have come here Hardly knowing the reason why In my mind I've already imagined our bodies Entwining defenceless and silent And now I am here with you No second thoughts I've decided, decided Past the point of no return No going back now Our passion-play has now, at last, begun Past all thought of right or wrong One final question How long should we two wait before we're one? When will the blood begin to race? The sleeping bud burst into bloom? When will the flames, at last, consume us? Both Past the point of no return The final threshold The bridge is crossed So stand and watch it burn We've passed the point of no return
Just discovered JOJ through going on a deep dive into POTO, whilst reading Gaston Leroux's book. I know I'm very late to discover him but I'm from another part of the world (Melbourne, Australia) from him, so forgive me! I've gotta say his voice is magical and his rendition of POTO from what I've seen on admittedly grainy youtube vids is captivating. I could not think of a more perfect combo of power, mystery, magnetism, but also sweetness and, of course, seduction. I'm also discovering the incredible sopranos who have played Christine, as they deserve as much attention. Thanks for recording this gorgeous arrangement. What a swoon!
Reminds me of the OG soundtrack I got at a performance way before the movie! Absolutely awesome! It's super hard to get that soundtrack now everyone only has the movie version.
( even though I'm a fanboy of Ramin and Sierra I have to admit that this version was spectacular it has a darker tone different from the sensuality that Sierra and Ramin pass )
Magnificent Mr Owen-Jones, each time that I listen you is a pleaser for me. About Mrs. Ormala what I can say about one of the best voice of all Europe? Greetings from Lisbon 🇵🇹
John's voice is how everyone wants to imagine Gerard Butler sounding. Don't get me wrong, I actually love the 2004 movie, and I appreciate John has more of Gerard's timbre than many who play the Phantom. Gerard was an amazing Phantom, he just needed John's voice when singing.
THE POINT OF NO RETURN You have come here in pursuit of your deepest urge, in pursuit of that wish, which till now has been silent, silent . . . John Owens-Jones is a singing god. Young, old or anywhere in between, he should be at or near the top of anyone's list. His sounds are just mesmerizing and enchanting and like warm milk chocolate being poured over you. I just really don't like this song, so its showcases no one. Give him power, he will deliver in spades!!!
Have you listened to his other interpretations? He is soft and sweet here but I assure you his voice can also be very deep. + it's that way because it's an arrangement :)
I think that she does way too much vibrato, and many of the notes are a little too high on her end. Compared to the guy, she clearly does not do as well. Through I suppose that's more of a compliment to him than a criticism of her.
JOJ never just sings the song...he is not just a singer in a recording studio....he IS the Phantom!!....that magnificent voice is so seductive...I d be his Christine anyday!!
I won't argue with that... He is definitely one of the very few men who embody Phantom completely.. I would gladly be his Christine too...
He is the best Phantom ever to date.!!!
@@bevsmith2491 I agree. I m an Aussie so I had never heard of him until I saw him as the Phantom in the West End and he just knocked my socks off
To Aussie..You know the first time I saw him on line in Phantom he knocked my Sox off too! And that was10 yrs ago, been a PHAN ever since. He's in a class all by himself.
Who's about u have talked?!🤷 That's chat under video with that awfully untalented John Owen Jones!🤢
His voice is as close to perfect as it gets 😮😮😮
To perfect of bad?! Oh, yeh!
Perfect Phantom
Chills, Absolute Chills...
What an unusual, clever arrangement! There is an ominous, tragic quality to it, unlike most versions that just play up the sexiness. Plus, I am glad there is finally a professionally recording of Owen Jones performing this song. I will definitely be downloading it.
As powerful as he can sound, he is at his best when singing softly like this, so mesmerizing!
John Owen-Jones is the best singer in phantom ever. I gave my dad a message from him on Cameo and he was so nice and funny. And Mira was so good in this!
R u under crack?!!🤷😂
I have lost count of the times I have watched this ❤😊
amazing! John Owen-Jones is still the best Phantom. Mira Ormala's voice is so soft and tender. Thank you!
Forever crying over this fine Welsh man. The best Phantom EVER. How I wish I could see him live especially with Katie Hall or at least a full video of them in poto. I love U Mr Owen Jones.
He truly is the Angel of Music. King Phantom.
This deserves more views! This has to be the sexiest sounding version of PONR I have heard by far.
Oh what an absolute gem. This took me back to nearly 30 years ago when I first saw Phantom. A fantastic arrangement to one of the best songs in the show. Both singers are just incredible.
Incredible bad((
What a gorgeous performance of this song. Absolutely superb.
Superbly bad(
Holy crap!!! that is the best version of that song that i have ever heard!!!
I love this. Mira's voice suits Christine perfectly.
there are people who can sing and then there is these guys.... WOW very well done blown away
He is the Best phantom ever
God! John sings this song the way it was meant. Complete seduction. I can forget you're a disfigured stalker/murderer when you sing like that!😂❤
Phantom of the opera is my favorite musical 😊 really his voice 😊
JOJ the best Phantom ever and she fabulous. This song is has to be sung perfect. The best version ever.
Rather exciting arrangement with accompiment that seems to drive the intensity. Fascinating.
Wow. My favorite some from phantom and this version just gave me so many chills. I absolutely love love LOVE this rendition and arrangement l, bravo 👏 🖤❤️🔥
The subtle heartbeat that comes into the song about a minute through… *chef’s kiss* 🤌 Whomever made this arrangement is a genius.
So many feelings...amazing.
Dear Lord, it’s so beautiful, congratulations for the excellent job
This is one of my favorite scene in POTO. This version is so sinister. I love it!
This has got to be my favourite performance of this song ❤ his voice is mesmerising and Mira sounds absolutely stunning 😍 beautiful beyond words ❤️
Thanks for performing this great interpretation
Он так загадочно поет… передает каждую эмоцию
So beautiful so amazing the both of them
When JOJ suppresses the power of his vocals, it sounds intoxicating.
Wow both of you incredible. I hope you both could do a recording of the title song. 😀
Also love Mira Ormala's tone in this - i can fully imagine how the phantom would melt to hear it.
Oh my,... Seductive, hypnotic, spellbound...❤ J'adore 🎉 2:45
Just beautiful ❤️
ooh goosebumps !
had to upload a karaoke of this on smule, this is just beautiful! i have no words
Phantom
You have come here

I have brought you
That your passions may fuse and merge
In your mind I've already succumbed to me
Dropped all defences

No seconds thoughts
You've decided, decided
Past the point of no return

Christine
You have brought me

Into silence, silence
I have come here
Hardly knowing the reason why
In my mind I've already imagined our bodies
Entwining defenceless and silent

Past all thought of right or wrong

How long should we two wait before we're one?
When will the blood begin to race?
The sleeping bud burst into bloom?
When will the flames, at last, consume us?
Both
Past the point of no return
The final threshold
The bridge is crossed
So stand and watch it burn
We've passed the point of no return

Amazing
This is amazing!!!
currently making an animatic with this version of the song 🥰
J.O.J. sings so well ,however with him there is more . He becomes the Phantom and one can sense the feelings of the tortured composer .🎧
Woof! Great job!

My goodness, what was that?
He has a soft sweet voice but for phantom no. If my eyes it’s a deep voice like Ben Lewis or Ramin
Have you listened to his other interpretations? He is soft and sweet here but I assure you his voice can also be very deep.
+ it's that way because it's an arrangement :)
JOJ he ain't singing! He is seducing!
I think that she does way too much vibrato, and many of the notes are a little too high on her end. Compared to the guy, she clearly does not do as well. Through I suppose that's more of a compliment to him than a criticism of her.
JOJ is great..
But that orchestration...it doesn't fit at all, it sounds super rushed.
And let's not get started on the electric guitar.
I don’t feel the instruments exactly fits what they were going for in the song
She is not a good Christine
