    Congratulations-you did a great job under difficult conditions. I too installed the Arrow headers myself using Bill’s video (CaliMoto Tv) as a guide and without a motorcycle lift. I was as frustrated / exhausted as you and it also took me a couple of days. When I was about to give up, I finally discovered the easiest way to attach the inside springs was by lying on my back / on the floor with my head positioned under the oil cooler, reaching up & pulling the springs down with a spring puller. It’s tight under there (my nose was scratched by the cooler), but you can see everything, and more importantly it gives you the proper leverage angle to pull the springs straight down. Here’s to all of us who attempt to tackle the hard stuff 👍

      Thank you!
      Like you said, that is exactly what I did to pull the spring in place! A bike stand will come soon! Hopefully within a year because I’m moving to new state and new home🙏

    that crackle and pop on de-acceleration reminds of my old stock r1200r in dynamic mode.

    Had this exact set up but then changed the slip on to an arrow as standard looked to bulky.
    Definitely couldn’t install it myself lol well done.

    hello. Congratulations on the bike and the video. did you put the servo to not turn on the dashboard light?

    • @SoloMCRider

      Thank you!
      I did put the servo motor back in but removed all the internal, cables that actuate the flap. I have no codes or warnings at all. There is a servo delete kit is available online as well, but I went with free option lol

    Just did the same thing and sounds great but its just a little loud for me. Stock Akra already has a baffle but is there a way to add another or way to quiet it a hair?

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад

      It is little too loud but I like it lol 😂 yes there is a way you can add db killer , I think you may have to order from BMW because this akrapovic exhaust is exclusively for BMW I guess!

    As someone who also installed their header, I can sympathize with the frustration. It wasn’t just the exhaust springs but also aligning all 4 collectors into the spigots were a pain in the ass. Your space is limited but even more so on the clutch side of the bike due to the radiator fan being in the way.
    Anyways exhaust looks and sounds good man. Even though it was a pain I’m glad I did it as I definitely learned quite a bit in the process.

      I’m glad I did it without making a hold through the radiator 😅

    Comes after install a fault code? And is remapping needed?

    Love the arrow exhaust more then akropovic. I think sounds much better but I’m being subjective. I like that F1 sound. Have you or anyone have experienced any issues with a new exhaust? I’ve heard with akropovic systems the motor was rough or unsteady at low rpm’s. Most people have had a remap and supposedly it fixed that issue.

      I optioned in akrapovic exhaust with my bike so just a full headers makes it sound sweet! And I have Brentune stage one so my bike runs great 👍

  • @parall4x
    @parall4x 2 года назад +1

    did the backfiring ease up after the ecu had time to adjust or did you put the brentune on before that?

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад

      Yes it did a little and right after I did the Brentune and if I ride on road or rain mode the Pops and crackles are very Subtle! I always ride on dynamic pro :)

    Best way to avoid damage to radiator fins is to tape pieces of thick cardboard over the front and back of radiator. It protects the fins from accidental bumps and bends.

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I did that after few try! Beginning I was too lazy to place the cardboard lol
      Thank you

    Nie vid. I’ve got a couple of questions though. How does the full system affect the riding modes? Also what happens to the BMW warranty? Do they have any problem with this?

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад

      Thank you!
      Riding modes is not effected by full exhaust system, as far as I know warranty is not voided if you just install the full system but with a ECU tune warranty will be voided which I have done :)

  • @anislicina3065
    @anislicina3065 2 года назад +1

    How did the bike ride without a tune??

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад +1

      Bike rode fine without the tune , bike has 4 oxygen sensors so it was learning the fueling for full exhaust system. main purpose of the stage 1 tune is to take care of the dead spots between 5-8k rpm and have the bike run cooler etc.

    Nice video I do have one question tho not about the exhaust, but I noticed you removed your rear axle slider is there a certain reason for that ?

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад

      Good catch! I removed it before the 1st service, at the dealership they were going to take them off for chain adjustments so took them off now it’s back on!!

    You might consider getting a motorcycle lift if you intend to do all the maintenance on your bike. It's really worth it just for oil changes.

    • @SoloMCRider
      @SoloMCRider  2 года назад +1

      Totally agreed! I will get the lift for my new home next year, which under construction now 🙏
