I've secured a deal on one of this , M1000R , I've done quite a bit of research and a lot of riders are saying the same , vibration on the handle bars , so now I'm quite in between , what shall I do , next Saturday the bike should arrive and I'm thinking what exactly should I ask them at the dealership , After they done the recall on yours , did it get much better ?! I’m glad everything went well. I am planning a similar long trip on the XR but including the mountains of VA, NC, TN and GA, then highway back to Florida. Your video makes me excited about the trip. Yea, the GPS mount is ugly BUT i think its mandatory to have it if you use the bike for touring as that mount can take a wireless charger for phone + combo of your choice of 2 USB`s and can take a Garmin GPS which does not need internet to function for those roads that are poorly covered by GSM or none at all overall i think bike is really nice the only thing i don't like is that dives way too much while front braking.

OK an interesting review as I'm interested in this bike. But distracted by the failure to stop at the 3 'stops' after 8' 13"? Maybe it's diff in us, in UK you have to stop. Just a bit tired of reviewers adherence to safe riding? Otherwise an interesting review.....

I have 2 dealers in my area, the closest to me (about 5 miles) wanted $390 ouch!, and the other about an hour away, quoted me $380. I went the closest one to me. I could see they did a number of things, but the most noticeable, was that they adjusted the steering headset and it was a lot better. That is one thing that I would have missed. I mainly did it for warranty. I don't know if I'll do it again.

The USB Quad-lock is not waterproof, there is a waterproof version that I connected to the BMW GPS Navigator socket. That way it is powered on only when the bike is running. I decided to go with a wind deflector on the stock screen, and once I found the right angle and height for me, it is perfect up to 100 mph.

Hi , the Translogic module is tuned to specific model of the bike? So we don’t need to adjust the kill time , plz clarify. Bcoz the healtech has the mobile app to adjust the kill time. Also if we need to bypass the module, how it can be done in the case of Translogic.

26 years this was my daily driver !! Loved it from the second I got on it ! Super comfortable ride and man this bike can SCREAM !!! Never had to take it apart , maintenance issues with the brakes and forks are as expected and laid out in the owners manual . Apologies to the 82 920 Virago I left sitting at home so so so many times because I would rather ride the Maxim !!! Thanks for the ride along !!

What is the difference between the 2024 and the 2022 model?

If you do not want to keep the catalyst it's better to purchase a complete header instead, like the Black Widow one. I had it with the same Akra slip on (w/o db killer), but the sound was unbearably loud. So, I think the best option is to keep the catalyc converter but eliminate the bread box + Akra slip on. Keeping the db killer in place regulates the sound a bit, but I do not like it.
