    In 26:00, with the Benzene having both triflate group and chloro group why is the chloro group doing the Suzuki reaction? Isn't triflate a better Leaving group?

      If you can understand it from HOMO-LUMO concept,
      O is more electronegative than Cl. So sigma bond of C-O will have lower energy than C-Cl sigma bond, and therefore energy of sigma * of C-O will have higher energy than sigma * of C-Cl.
      Now when Pd(0) will transfer electrons, it will change to Pd2+ and the electrons would like to go to sigma * having lower energy i.e. C-Cl
      Aur jab electrons jaayenge anti-bonding mein, toh bond order zero ho jaayega, that means bond break karega C-Cl waala

      @@JChemistry ​Kindly do not take is harshly, but your explanation is not only wrong but misleading for many of your students who looks up to you. O is more electronegative than Cl, therefore all orbitals of C-O should have relatively lower energy than C-Cl, including HOMO and LUMO. So, the LUMO of C-OTf bond (sigma*) is LOWER in energy than the LUMO of C-Cl bond (sigma*), and NOT higher. This fact is also confirmed by the amazing paper by Houk et. al. whose link is given below. Thanks to @Surya Pravo Mookherjee.
      I went through the whole paper and found out actual reason for this to be the 'coordination number' of the active Pd catalyst species. When PCy3 ligand is used, the active catalyst is bis-ligated (i.e., there are two PCy3 ligand attached to Pd), which makes the Pd species more nucleophilic (High HOMO) and therefore it attacks the bond with lower LUMO, which is C-OTf. for the other ligand PtBu3, the active catalyst is mono-ligated, making it less nucleophilic than the previous case.
