Probably isnt because it still seems to be the first few "real" runs to iron out anymore kinks. Like, obviously they've played but having random friends play who dont know the ins and outs can really help find any last minute issues. Like Barry said the picture with the classes werent up to date because they just changed something.
If it goes on the first channel it'll probably be cut down more with various povs. I could see Harry not wanting it on the main channel until it's totally finished and tested.
@@Wandervenn It can still end up on the main channel. But it'll take a long time to edit down a 4hour stream into a 'sizable' video with multiple povs (15-30mins is what they've done for race for the wool videos in the past)
Even their usual stuff of TTT, among us, etc that requires way less editing is still usually released 1-3 months after recording (when they've actually revealed the recording date in some capacity during the video)
@@WondderWaffel Exactly, the editors honestly have enough on theyre plate tbh, they have like 8+ channels where they upload at least every week, plus not to mention stuff like among us where I’d imagine having a difficult time editing down it then seeing each perspective at least once with fluent and fast changes between person to person, not to mention the overlapping voices. I bet they split this up to person to person then bring it together but it is still a lot of work just for one video a week.
I've heard from lewis in a stream from few days ago that they did record a game. He wanted a single video with all perspectives.

Well many community members collaberated to produce most of the intricacies. But he oversaw the process and had a say in most elements. I suppose he was more like a project manager or producer, than a builder or coder.
Well, Harry was the "project lead", but it was him and his community of blebs that built the map together.

I love these. The different aesthetic of each dungeon and accompanying mobs are perfect
ranger seems really underpowered, but maybe just underutilized.
also wanted to say that this is one of my favorite videos i've watched in a long time. This is high quality content and it is so much fun to watch.
I think the biggest problem at the moment is how easy it is to camp the central island. My idea to fix that to make it just a bit more difficult is giving everyone hunger while on the monument island. Makes it still possible but not as continuously and requires more strategy.
I think some kind of game theory malfunction happened here, where the best move for each team to do from moment to moment got them caught in a cycle. Like, it makes sense for pedguin to drop the key and go to zylus because while the key solidifies the idea of "progress", helping zylus has a much higher chance of winning soon.
Like, moment to moment the best play is always to go for the easiest wool. the tower thats been cleared. if you go for a different dungeon, you give that wool to the other team. Blue can't go anywhere else because that hands the win to red. Red wants the win as quickly as possible and so they go for the wool too.
This looks really cool! Really fun to watch these streams with Harry spectating. The only problem I think is that the protection armour feels waaay too strong.
I agree I think it should protection 2 at most. Three is way to much

@@duncanjala In fairness, there's much better weapons in the other towers... that the red team couldn't be bothered to unlock.
I think the problem here was just that, a wool ahead, they just made the decision to play for time, not progress. The rules need to be changed like Duncan said, so that you need one of each tier of wool, to force it out of just playing for a stalemate (well, I think Pedguin reckoned it'd be a win for being a wool ahead - but, no, to prevent this nonsense happening again, it's either all 3 wool or everyone loses).
Race for the wool was my favorite game mode of all time! I used to love the different perspectives, as twice the content.
This was great! The only suggestion I would make is to have each tower have two entrance/exits to limit bottlenecking. Other potential bottlenecks have flanking potential, but not the doorway in and out of each tower. Might be messy for the programmers to implement both doors in one tower opening at once though...
I think some bottlenecking is good. Maybe make the door 1.5x bigger so it's more effort to hold?
Just make it so when you open one door you can open the other from inside without a key 🤷🏻♂️

I have to say the commentary by Harry and Martain really makes watching this all the more exciting
An Elementalist role would be interesting. Like, they could have four different elemental helmets that provide them benefits based on the helmet worm. Like water buffs, feather falling, fire protection/fire aspect, for earth maybe thorns?
But that would make it more strategic to run through some of the dungeons at the cost of maybe armor slots or something and whatever you arent wearing would take up precious inventory slots and you wouldnt get those benefits running back with the wool.
In some sense, holding one team in a cycle of killing drains their resources. If you drain their resources faster than you drain your own then you increase your equipment advantage, so there's some benefit to letting one player solo while you hold bac. because if you completely outgear them then you can stomp on them and take their wool from right under them

This honestly reminds me of watching a weird avant garde version of a WWI reenactment
A lot of the swings back and forth seem to be that when people win a big pvp engagement, they're so stressed from it that they lose the nerve to push. Not ragging on them, I'm not a huge pvp gamer either. The spectators know they have a moment of opportunity but they don't, feels like.

Red Team definitely won this. They absolutely dominated Blue in every aspect. I do not understand how this is a tie whatsoever, Red should have been given the win, and Pedguin the MVP. And to those wondering why they didn't open up the diamond dungeon is because they had the advantage, so they pushed it by attacking Blue's dungeon stopping them progressing. If you think about it they had everything to win and nothing to lose by attacking the dungeon, so why not go in for it. If they lose and Blue gets it then they are in the exact same position where they have to go through the diamond dungeon. But if they get the wool, then they win the game.
I did not care about Minecraft for so long but this has revitalized my interest!
This is always in my autoplay for some reason (Thanks youtube) So every once in a while, I just hear Barry go "Welcome to capture the wool" and it scares me every time.

Are there any perspectives from the Red team, anywhere?
I love Barry and Martyn and the narration they do for the tournaments. But, as with the original (though chaos), I also found it entertaining and engaging through seeing the player truly playing and interacting.
Maybe at some point for the future of these, if possible as-with the Rocket League tourneys, have the narrators periodically check in to some extent with the players? Idk.

In overtime they should give everyone speed.
Super well crafted, but the ending with Pedguin and company making it a stale mate was super boring, they chose to make it painfully slow, and I get blocking the other team, but they stopped playing to win.
A couple of notes I noticed is cobwebs should despawn.
And there needs to be some sort of mechanic that stops this 1 hour stale mate bs, because one team is just using all its energy to block the other.
when blue team defended shroom tower from red stealing it wasnt joe that saved the day. breeh apparently has bad lag or looks away from his screen a lot because osie shouldnt have been able to hit him like that and breeh shouldnt have fucked up the tnt that badly. the tnt misplay cost them the game in that moment.

Sorry but that play with pedguin was a joke(around 1:28:00), he heals stronger then he can get damaged? Mise while make a guy immune to damage but has a wooden sword. Just doesn't have to worry about defence be he just needs to hit hit opponent once. Even when he died. Like what it takes literally the entire team to take him down? What a busted class.

Team red was cringe to watch. Locking people in a stalemate is not fun to watch and just ends up with everyone completely uninterested. It’s extremely irritating.

Due to the hard pvp and pve necessary on this map contextually I am leaning towards the rough and hard conclusion.

A 3rd team with 2 players who are only meant to pvp and hinder progress for the other teams, and to have the game with a time limit. The 3rd team gets 1 point for every wool the other teams fail to collect. Maybe they're limited so they cant enter the dungeons or the middle island. Otherwise, this is brilliant as is!! Love watching these matches!

Fantastic map! However, playing to not lose is lame. Your team is ahead a whole wool, go grab a key, open another dungeon, and put the game away. Sitting around and cucking the other team from progressing is lame, and it was lame to watch.
Yeah there needs to be something that encourages them to actually play not just stall but I guess this is an early test they can still rebalance it
It’s a strategy that’s considered lame but I think it’s valid in many other games like fighting games where the loser has to be the one to be aggressive not the winner. It makes sense as competitive games are for a cash prize but here it’s for entertainment but at the same time most games have a timer to limit how long matches go to not make it soul crushingly long.
Should just have a time limit cause I enjoy this Strat bully the team down a wool :)
