Dodgy Doodlers were owning the Build Mart, right up until the last second. I guess it makes sense, though, that the artists would be naturally good at that game. Although, I'd reckon Duncan - from always winning the Gmod builds and playing loads of those build challenge mini-games (and who was the original Yogscast artist, with an art degree, lest we forget) - probably single-handedly got all of the points for "what the flux?" that round.
"how do you play this game so often and STILL not know about spam clicking?!" - Me, yelling at my monitor to someone in the past who doesn't care and will never know.
@@AetherialRUclips I think it's purely instinct from the old school days. Because, like, Timmy told them repeatedly that it's the new combat and they even acknowledged that. But then, in game, back to the spam clicking. To be fair, if you're so used to the old combat from years of playing, then you just subconsciously do it without thinking. (Also, spam clicking is a natural thing to do when you're panicked.)
absolutely cracking job Martyn! I enjoyed every minute. thank you to everyone involved! we needed this this year honestly. you have no idea how much all of your efforts mean to us all. beautiful light in this year full of darkness
In case you're interested in seeing more, MCC is a regular event held for minecraft streamers and youtubers on a monthly basis. They already had it 13 times last year and will resume in February.
Yes. Though, fair play, we also have to give big credit to the NoxCrew for being coding masters too, making this whole MCC server be so slick and work perfectly.
This was without a doubt the best stream of the whole Jingle Jam. This year's Jam was incredible, but this stream was a really special treat. Thank you Martyn for all your hard work putting this together.
I didn't even realize there were this many in or affiliated with the Yogscast anymore even though I know 95% of them here and then other peeps like Sips and the Hats aren't even there.
This was a really great stream. Mad appreciation for everybody who took time to play, for the map creators, and for Martyn putting in the behind-the-scenes effort.
Yeahhhhh. All 4 players play Minecraft. 2 have played in the actual MCC. Both have scored in top ten. Both have made it to dodgebolt. This team was completely cracked.
Loved it! It's a shame your announcing couldn't have been heard by everyone, though. Loved the stream and loved the games. Kind of surprised Hat Films wasn't in here. They're usually around for these mega-events (since they're usually at least 75% of a team already). Sadly, out of my favorite teams, only Simon's Angels placed in the top half :(
Is there a way to watch the other teams perspectives? I'd really like to see all the POVs. Especially Scott's view when Martyn does his thing! (trying not to spoil)
Curse my evening schedule! I will literally miss every stream this Jingle Jam, feelsbad... (Side note, we need more Martyn in other videos. Miss my boi.).
Just because I'm occasionally still gobsmacked at this kind of stuff - all of this was built in vanilla right? And everything is just executed by command blocks? Cause holy moly I'm just... wow (Also omg I want to play it)
I feel if they do this again next year i feel the need for less mcc pros especially since it was very obvious which teams would do well based on which teams had pros. But other than that was a fantastic stream and a fair bit of fun to watch just felt sorry for the teams Without mcc professionals.
I think the combo of Martyn and Timmy was too powerful as both seemed to know what they were doing. Perhaps then limiting it to a single mcc pro per team to keep it fair.
@@atwoodtad7047 for sure I think if they participate you need to let the non pros actually practice. The knowledge was a lot bigger of an advantage then the skill
Yeah, it felt a bit unfair. It always does in these kinds of events when you have like 5 or 6 people who have had a million years of practice. It kinda makes the other members of the team feel superfluous. Speaking personally, I'd rather place last on a team where I felt we were all approximately equal skill than place higher on the leaderboard and feel like my contributions were grossly overshadowed by someone else who had more experience.
@@kingklause936 All were able to practice, Martyn mentions about the practice server before the games begin, just not everyone took advantage of it. This was great they should do it again. But it was really unfair how certain teams had experienced players in the games, they should have given an "ace" to every team just as a guiding point or leader
"This is a public service announcement to remind all customers that belts are to be work above the ass... That incled you, Simon!" I also love Martin's little smirk at that, nice one! 😂
am i the only one who has some audio problems while watching the video tried watching this over two devices and both of them have weird audio problems at certain points in the video
It's an effect, often used on radio, where they "duck out" the audio to make room for the voice, to ensure that the voice is always clearly heard. Basically, the volume of the background audio is linked to the voice microphone, so that whenever the voice microphone registers a signal (as Martyn's talking), then it automatically lowers the music / background sounds to ensure the voice mic is always the strongest and clearest signal. So you can understand what he's saying, without the background audio getting in the way. Mind you, that's an unsophisticated "duck". Modern radio is often more clever and has the voice microphone control a filter, rather than the overall channel volume. And what that filter does is smoothly duck out just the frequencies of the human voice, but leaves the low bass and high treble either side of that range alone. This, then, makes room for the voice and ensures it's clearly heard, whilst making the "duck" itself as unobtrusive as possible. But, equally, "more sophisticated" also means "a more expensive bit of kit to buy / harder to find software that supports that". Hannah, when she was in the Yogscast and doing her playthrough series, also used to use a filter to "duck" the audio when she spoke. Ever been on a Twitch / RUclips stream where folks are messing around with the game volumes to try to make sure it's not too loud / loud enough / not too quiet with respect to their voice microphone? Yeah, they should probably just use a filter that automatically "ducks" the audio. Because then you can just set a good music / game sound volume and a good voice volume once, and then just let the filter dynamically fade between the two for you. p.s. Martyn used to work on the radio, by the way. Which is why he knows about this stuff and uses it, I presume.
@azaanthegoat7194 they probably meant all the voice changer stuff and how he talks a lot but it was extremely obvious that he didnt do it because he wanted attention, because on several occasions he specifically directed the attention to Simon or Lewis, and it was also quite clear Simon at least loved the voice changers and stuff
