Go swimming when you can there are a lot of good swimming holes in N Cali it's a great way to cool down. Seems like you are by the half way point marker or past it, most hikers started doing 25 mile days in this area when I went through even though we had those heavy Osprey packs and twenty years before that when we really had heavy packs .A lite pack helps but you still have to hike the miles .

You're right. UL can also be losing 10lbs on your belly lol.

I could never hike in that heat 😫 I would be the one getting up at 3am to hike for sure!

@@AdventureQuencher Sorry for the rant but it is far more important to start a trail in shape than having the latest trendy gear.
