You're welcome! Thanks for dropping a question. This is all very personal opinion-based but...It's hard to say - RN coder roles are definitely a bit more specialized and niche. If you know exactly what company/roles you are going for, have some connections, and know that this is what you want - I'd say go for it. If you aren't sure, you may want to spend some time researching what positions require coding and what ones don't. The coding classes are expensive, and I'm not a huge fan of investing the money up front if you don't need to. Another idea - CDI uses coding every day but coding certifications aren't required, advanced CDI nurses may go for certs years into their career. You may want to hang out in some facebook groups specific to CDI (there is a great one that's easy to find) and see what others have to say about the opportunities.
I am a 4 year orthopedic nurse and two years in step down nurse. We are hoping to move out of the country in two years and would like to find a job that I can do from out of the country and possibly part time. What would you recommend?

Often I see nurses report high stress due to contact and metrics with CM. CDI pays well and is the only one with an association that I know of that publishes a yearly salary report, you can find it on the ACDIS website.

There are a couple companies that allow you to work overseas as long as you have a US address or live on a base. Check out Incredible Health, Trusted Health, and Fonemed or Intellatriage may still do international.

Hey! You could likely apply for many of the CM/UM/UR positions but there are also CKD specific positions that want dialysis experience. Fresenius is one employer who hired CKD CMs remotely.

I'd keep an eye on the job board for any type of LPN CM/UM roles and look at what specific requirements they have for experience. Many want the type of experience you hold.

Absolutely! There are not as many LPN/LVN remote nursing roles out there compared to RN, but we love to feature LPN/LVN opportunities when they come up in our daily searches. What about cnas
We focus on LPN/LVN/RN/NP on the job board - however there are many options for CNAs with the same companies that hire remote nurses. They’ll often be listed with keywords like coordinator, associate, or representative in the job title.

There are! We focus on US based but we do see others
