Thanks for watching everyone! One thing I forgot to mention is that I also setup ACR to change the risky woohoo percentage and randomize gender preference. You can see the settings I use for ACR in this video: ruclips.net/video/XLV6GarkAyg/видео.html
thats why i literally just slapped a few mods on my new install and im just playing whatever way i want. I don’t have the time for meticulously crafting my game anymore lol
The other day I just launched the sims 4 and had my low bladder sim fart 10 times in a row until they had an “accident”. Then exited bc I had to keep working. That’s how I play now, sad 😂
Same! I seem to spend way more time planning and setting up my games, mods, CC, town plans etc than I ever do playing the actual game! And I do it for TS2, TS3 and TS4 😂
Before I found this channel years ago, I used to send all my teens to college where they get an A+ and max their needs and skills and job levels. You taught me how to get to know them and enjoy following their wants because not all sims get to college, get a degree then level 10 in their careers. PS: I wish you could organize my life irl 😂
This is so interesting. I love taking a look at rotational players since is not my style. And I love how much love, organization and effort is put into it
About Lilith Pleasant's hobby being Sports: Actually in my game I did that. I mean she is highly interested in Sports and is very active. Of course I don't see her necessarily in a team sports but I chose the boxing 'sub hobby' for her since I see it as her way to reduce frustration. Also I like to think that she kinda inherited it from Daniel (who I also gave the Sports Hobby). Because of that their relationship improved. Another great and helpful video! Thank you so much I took a lot from it. :) ♥
You changed my Sims playing world when I first learned about family tracking through spreadsheets, before I was trying to keep track of everything in notebooks and it was so messy and confusing lol. I take a lot of tips from all your videos and streams, love your content Cindy! :)
idk why but im obsessed with your videos on premade neighborhoods. i was never interested in them but now thanks to you i really want to play with maxis families
I like how the clean hoods work well in translated games too :) I installed the Clean Strangetown in mine and only the Singles had English names, I fixed it in sim PE (through your tutorial even!)
Girl, I'm so happy that I'm not the only one who is crazy about the organization on my Sims 2 neighborhood. Thank you for all the tips! I'm loving your channel

You have no idea how much you inspired me to get back to my old project of making a neighbourhood! I watched all the sims 2 & 3 gameplays of yours, now I'm in the middle of listening to your Edgewood streams when I'm getting home - and when I get home I do nothing but building for my little town. I honestly needed that energy, thank you!
My rotations are usually 7 days, so pretty much 1 rotation per season so that helps me keep track, because if a family is a season behind another (say everyone else is in Summer, but one family is still in spring) ill know I need to play the family stuck in spring
I’ve watched a lot of your streams where you’ve gone through this list so it’s cool to see this as a more in depth explanation of how it all works. Also Juliet looks so super cute after her makeover! 🖤
I just appreciate so much all the effort that u put in your videos and how dedicated you are to us and this game. And even tho nowadays I play mostly sims4 I enjoy so much watching you and the lil community that u have created. So thank u for everything and much love 💞
this is very interesting! i've never created a spreadsheet before, and honestly didn't know this was a thing til recently. i love rotational style play and developing my characters-- but i always lose interest after i take a long break and forget everything that i need to do for my sims at the moment-- so i'm definitely going to be trying the spreadsheet and applying it to both ts2 and ts4 and see how it works! i also saw your post online about playing sims 3 rotational, and would love to see a video made on that! it's something i've wanted to try, but seemed super complex in terms of setting it up and having to switch things around between every family. awesome video, i'm a rather new sub, but i'm loving your work already!
Hey Cindy, I love your videos. Have you ever thought about creating a calculator to determine a Sims hobby? Similar to how you would use the calculator for the secondary aspiration. E.g. high interest in the environment would add points to Nature, high interest in culture would add to Arts & Crafts or Music & Dance etc
Thank Adam! No, I haven't ever done this because I typically use the personality system that Maxis used for the hobbies. But the more I play, the less I like that system. It usually doesn't make sense. Hmm....Thank you for the suggestion. I will think on this and see if I can come up with something!
I never used to play rotationally but since subbing to this channel, I've started to and it is such a refreshing way to play! I'm lazy though so I just jump right into gameplay!
Love this, the body hair is revolutionary! Would love to see a video of you putting all your neccesity items in the lots as you mentioned too :) Thanks, can't wait for the next stream!
omg girl i am so in love with your videos. thank you for explaining everything without dumbing it down for us but keeping it friendly to newer players. you're so sweet!
I was just looking at your sub hobby section and watching was a sub hobby: With the watching maybe they watch the movie/show and then do the "work from home" on monique computer which is them uploading their reviews and getting a little simoleon for it.
Ik this isn't related to this video but I would love to see you do Challenges which is well known in the Sims 4....but in the Sims 2. Like shell challenges.... Each room contain a different colour.... Each room is a different pack etc etc. 💚
I appreciate how you explain things in depth and how you are STILL doing so today! I have been a big Sims fan and have all the games but I've been locked in Sims 4 mode for the past few years and of course you have to use mods to make the game playable... And I have found since going back to Sims 2 that some of the mods can be kinda tedious to figure out, maybe it is just me but I feel like installing Sims 4 mods and CC is MUCH easier than Sims 2, maybe its because I haven't played much in a long time, so I appreciate you taking the time to help out others who don't understand or have never done any of this before! Keep up the great work 😁😁
Great video! I'm currently fangirling over Veronaville, so I jump into all videos on it :D As for me... I'm kinda chaotic, but I also give my sims makeover, bigger or smaller, (in the case of Hermia, I've waited till she was an adult, but Juliette got makeover by replacing her hair almost right away xd) as for ages, I use one mod and count myself how old I want to have premades and then with the use insimenator I substract or add days I see fit. They kinda end in chaotic state all the times, but when new sims are born it all gets the way I want :D I don't care about my seasons, but I do play 4 day rotations also. And as for my aspirations and wishes - I usually don't bother with elders, but I do like to give them second that I see fit for them, in the way I see my sim. And ACR is a must have. I won't forget how adult Ariel cheated on her fiance with Bottom Summerdream on their friend wedding... needles to say, Bottom slept with almost all teens in the neighborhood (and she had popularity! and family as a second xd) because of the brilliant Booty call :D
girl I just love all you do, I usually play mostly big families and custom neighborhoods but the way you play premades is just perfect to keep hung up into playing them
Very helpful and inspiring. Thank you also for sharing where to find things! I will for sure download the clean Veronaville. I can not play without the bat box!!!
Cindy, I do the same thing as Matotty! In addition, only my double (that's what I call them) aspiration Sims get all the benefits in the family tree. If they have a secondary, they do not get the top of the primary aspirations. So only a double Romance gets to 'Smooth Talk". I think it makes the game a bit more challenging and gives those doubles something extra.
I just finished setting up my new PV after 2 weeks renovating and adding hood deco just finishing with this tutorial! Usually I play a main family and then a neighbourhood with it. With my main family I ended up making an "older adult stage" where I added wrinkles etc. and I'm going to incorporate it in my PV.
At the end you asked what we do to prepare our games so I thought I may describe what I do :v I don't think I do as much as you but I do some similar things, like preparing sheets, but I usually do it from game, checking everything. I also run age fix mod, check sims' LTWs and hobbies etc etc. I sometimes correct ages by hand if I feel someone should be older or younger. Except that I don't think I do anything, I set up seasons cuz I like to start with spring and that's pretty much all I do.
I started using a spreadsheet a long time ago too, but when I found your channel I added in your job chooser, some mods from your recommendation list, and the second aspiration thing. My rotations are just 1 day long for the normal hood and 1 'final test' long for college sims.
I do a lot of the same stuff you do with setting up pre-made neighborhoods and new sims/families in my custom hood! I usually do fewer calculations for aspiration choices, but do still look at interests! I've recently developed the habit of using a sim's childhood experiences/behavior as a way to choose their main aspiration. For example, popularity sims often have high interests in things like politics, sports, etc., but will also generally have created at least 3-4 non-family friends/close acquaintances in the childhood stage. Knowledge sims tend to have high interests in sci-fi and school, but also will have built a significant amount of skills in comparison with other children. Family sims will have strong relationships with not only immediate but more extended relatives like aunts/uncles, grandparents, and cousins. It's much less clean and clear cut than an aspiration calculator, but I find it fun to use a sim's behavior as another method to choose their aspiration.
I am so appreciative of the fact that you STILL continue to actively credit me for that spreadsheet ahahahaha I've been tinkering with a OTH calculator lately
I am so glad you listed the mods you use. I have been wondering what the body hair controller is and where you found it. I use custom skins with chest hair for the males so they all have the same body hair. I use notebooks to keep track of my hoods because I have tried in the past to use spreadsheets but never keep up with them. I find it easier just to write down things in a notebook. I play with a wants based play system because it is more fun. I used to play by focusing on what the adults LTW was, my sim kids used to get one skill point in each skill by high school, and my teens had to have 5 skill points in two skills and a C in school to go to college. This play style got boring.
This video was great timing - I've been meaning to get back into a more detailed style of gameplay! I'll be making a copy of that tracking spreadsheet, thanks for sharing it! And I'm looking forward to future Veronaville vids 😉
That's pretty much how I do it too. I've watched your videos and started doing it then. I also do the Pre FT update as well. It sometimes gives more Benefit points. Love you videos and game play style.
So happy to see you back :D Love your channel bc it pushes me to think more deeply about how I can make my games fun/realistic In my Pleasantview playthrough Cassandra just had her second set of twins with Don (she hasn't learned he's cheating yet), while Mary-Sue just dumped Daniel after catching him cheating for the second time! Darren Dreamer died in an unfortunate fire (it broke my heart!!) but Dirk just found a genie lamp so who knows??
I do a lot of the same things to set up a neighborhood, lol! One of the first things I do before I even open the game is set up a spreadsheet so I can keep track of everything. And then I go through and give subtle make-overs to all the sims, trying to keep in the spirit of their original looks, and figuring out the story/path the sim is on. I've been debating for weeks now about what I want to do with Veronaville, because I don't feel like the game gives us enough for long term play with only three families, but I also feel like creating more families is cheating somehow. I've gone so far as figuring out a family (Shakespearean based of course), that provides just enough sims so I don't run into everyone being too closely related, without creating specific partners for specific pre-made sims, but I'm hesitant to actual make them.
Freetime broke the Lifetime Want aspiration. You just have to complete the Secondary Aspiration now. Great to hear you call the FFS the Batbox. I came up with the nickname. 😎
I feel like with me I just dive in. I start off with 1 day for each household, then 2 days, then 3 days and repeat until we get a batch of teens to send to college. Then I'd do 4 days for each house back in town to simulate 4 years in Uni, which I would do in between - split up the college time by doing freshman and Sophomore years and then doing Junior and Senior years after the rotation ends back in town. And then repeat. I'm trying to incorporate DramatiSim's 10 round way of playing so usually if i do that in a normal hood it would leave 3 more parts (9 more Sim days) to do things with families before I move on to another town.
Nessa it’s not too difficult, choose the neighbourhood you want as your main and drop it in your downloads folder as shown in this video, then download the sub hood/shopping district versions of the other neighbourhoods and place them in Sims 2 OFB/TSData/Res/NeighbourhoodTemplate ☺️
And you’ll need this mod by Mootilda: www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=420924 it removes the big “add shopping district” etc button which stops the list of neighbourhoods showing up ✌🏻
I am so in love with your videos! So glad I found you because I thought I was the only one playing all the sims in the neighborhood. But now I have some questions: what is a clean template? and is it just for windows? And how do you get so many cool hairstyles and clothes?
Clean templates have been "cleaned" of corruption and many of the issues (broken genetics, incorrect memories, etc.) that come with the game have been fixed. You can find them on meetme2theriver's tumblr. I use default replacements for my skin, eyes, clothing, and hair. You can read more about defaults here: pleasantsims.com/sims-2-default-replacements/
Hi Cindy! Awesome video, as always! Did you know though, that simNopke made mods that stop the Garden Club Lady and Matchmaker from appearing on lots? Both mods are on their tumblr page, I've been using them since forever cause I can't stand them either haha
Yes! I have those mods but unfortunately they no longer work for me. There's a conflict with the updated visitor controller according to the conflict detection utility. So, I have to manually ban the garden club lady and matchmaker. :(
I give Dina a different hobby too cus I don't see her as one to toil the fields or spend time outdoors, because her bio says she loves chocolate I give her cuisine instead
Most if the hobbies have some wiggle room when it comes to activities. Like Dina might not enjoy catching bugs or farming, but she loved her pet bird and indoor plants in my game.
I’ve been really enjoying playing Veronaville I love the drama 😂 I hope you like playing it too! And I love the fir3princess shoutout she’s another one of my favorite youtubers and she definitely deserves the attention 😊
When I played Veronaville (oh how I wish my mac still supported TS2) I change the names of most of the teens so their storylines match up more with a Midsummer Night's Dream (since I'm a total Shakespeare geek.) So Puck becomes Lysander, Mercutio becomes Demetrius, and Miranda becomes Helena. I keep the names of the other teens, except I sometimes change Tybalt depending on who I want him to end up with.
Actually, after watching this I realized I just needed this kind of gameplay to be satisfied so I'm setting up my game now. Thank you for this really! And I wonder what the colors in the spreadsheet mean? I thought maybe their ages but that didn't apply to everyone either. :(
Strangetown time for this lemon bread [jazz hand] Update: It's so funny to me that Vicund has his plant room. I can fit all of my adjusters nice and inconspicuously...
Thank you so much for showing us how you do it. I'll probably apply a lot of this to my own gameplay. I would love to use the same aging system as you do, but sadly I just can't seem to get SimPe to open sim browser for me so that I can change the ages of adults who've gone to/skipped college.
I would have chosen Arts for Consort. He is a rich sim and a CEO... those people tend to collect and enjoy art pieces. Even Film and Lit. I can imagine Consort watching and enjoying old films.
I found a dream catcher life time want mod...that allows you to select from a couple different lists...eliminating the rerolls until you get a want (wish?) that you like.😊
I just discoverd your channel and I really enjoy it, your videos help me A LOT to understand how to make a good save and how to play in The Sims 2. Although I've played TS2 before (I'm more of a TS3+4 person), I was a bit bored cause I didn't know what I can do in this game, and how to maximize it's potential. I really enjoy watching you going ALL THE WAY with this game, and I really appreciate it. I want to try making a new save, but I still haven't decided which game to choose (TS2 or TS3) so if you want to recommend me it would be nice. and is it true that there's not story progression in this game? even with mods? Thank you so much! :)
I would always recommend The Sims 2 over The Sims 3. It's the better game in my opinion, but you may feel differently. There's no story progression in Sims 2. It's meant to be played as a whole neighborhood rotationally - playing one family at a time. If you don't like to control the entire neighborhood, then you may like Sims 3 better. Hope that helps!
@@PleasantSims Thank you so much for the quick response, I think I will try to make a save in both of the games, just to get a taste from both of them. Thank you so much! :)
This is the opposite of my gameplay!😂😂I just randomly play households and then move on after a couple weeks! I tied the legacy challenge and got to gen 6 or 7 and it took me about a month 😪😂😂
Pleasant Sims 🥺 thanks! And hey, I made a tax calculator on google sheets using your tax rules. If I post it to the discord (I’m not sure where) would you take a look? I hope it’d be useful for you!
Great vid! Does this specific clean hood come with none of the bin families (that are usually in every town) or do you have a separate mod to get rid of them?
Hey Cindy! I’m so glad I’ve found your channel, you’ve really inspired me to get back into the sims 2 again, and I absolutely love your play style. I have a completely unrelated question about the hacked computer: I deposited some money into my sim’s bank account to move out with, but when I had them leave the household the money didn’t go with them into the new household funds, but it’s still in the individual bank account - do you know if this is this the way it’s meant to happen or did I do something wrong?
In another video you recommended a 'fixed' version of Pleasant View (I can't find the video now) and I used it. When I married Don Lothario to Cassandra he moved in- but his old lot still has his name on it and money but there are no playable sims there. Is it a glitch or is the whole thing corrupt?
hi the link to simblender doens't work anymore, i saw that you found another one for the ACR, which was also on simbiology. do you happen to have another link to the simblender? nevermind, i just found it on your mediafire! cant wait to set up my towns!!
Hii! I really love how you play this game, I always played with the based families but in every town I made an "own" family or sim to make it more "mine" haha. By the way the spreadsheet is available in the other neighborhoods or just Veronaville? Thanks ♥
Right this moment, just Veronaville, but I will make Pleasantview and Strangetown available either later today or tomorrow. Watch my blog for the post. :)
Thanks for watching everyone! One thing I forgot to mention is that I also setup ACR to change the risky woohoo percentage and randomize gender preference. You can see the settings I use for ACR in this video: ruclips.net/video/XLV6GarkAyg/видео.html
I knew you played the sims super meticulously but girl you pulled out the spreadsheet and I screammmmed
She is a natural game master (O.O)
You don't get to say you "run a tight ship" until you pull out the homemade spreadsheet lol
The last few years my hobby has become carefully preparing neighborhoods that I then never have time to play. 🤷♀️
LOL. I feel that so much.
thats why i literally just slapped a few mods on my new install and im just playing whatever way i want. I don’t have the time for meticulously crafting my game anymore lol
I do really like do buildings and neighborhoods and never play it. I just enjoy do it but not playing it. Buen video.

Same! I seem to spend way more time planning and setting up my games, mods, CC, town plans etc than I ever do playing the actual game! And I do it for TS2, TS3 and TS4 😂
Holy crap. Here I was, thinking I played super in-depth, but then I watched this video...SPREADSHEETS. I’m honestly so impressed.
Gotta love the spreadsheets! Lol
Same haha! This is very intense gameplay 😳
Before I found this channel years ago, I used to send all my teens to college where they get an A+ and max their needs and skills and job levels. You taught me how to get to know them and enjoy following their wants because not all sims get to college, get a degree then level 10 in their careers.

LOL. My real life isn't even as organized as my Sims' lives. 😆
This is so interesting. I love taking a look at rotational players since is not my style. And I love how much love, organization and effort is put into it

I like how the clean hoods work well in translated games too :) I installed the Clean Strangetown in mine and only the Singles had English names, I fixed it in sim PE (through your tutorial even!)

Yeah, I know some people have seen me do this. But I thought it might be nice to have it more concise than on the streams. 😀
Pleasant Sims 👍
For all that is sacred, I NEED a video like this one for ts4
I thought I was weird and the only one that added sim info to spreadsheets but I like doing that glad to see someone else to 😊

Another idea to use is only give the full tree if they have the highest aspiration in the same aspiration (so still possible to have that twin)
At the end you asked what we do to prepare our games so I thought I may describe what I do :v
I don't think I do as much as you but I do some similar things, like preparing sheets, but I usually do it from game, checking everything. I also run age fix mod, check sims' LTWs and hobbies etc etc.
I sometimes correct ages by hand if I feel someone should be older or younger.
Except that I don't think I do anything, I set up seasons cuz I like to start with spring and that's pretty much all I do.
Love the idea of subhobbies! Definitely going to look at doing that for my own game!
I love veronaville! I find Kent Capp has attraction to all the men in town in my game. Poor Bianca she’s looking for love in the wrong place!! 😂
I started using a spreadsheet a long time ago too, but when I found your channel I added in your job chooser, some mods from your recommendation list, and the second aspiration thing. My rotations are just 1 day long for the normal hood and 1 'final test' long for college sims.
I remember downloading your sheets and calculators ages ago and I'm using them since then (with some minor changes to suit me more) and I love em
Love the spreadsheet! Just subscribed love the videos 🤗💚
Thanks for subbing! 💙💙
With that default replacement you have on Consort, he went from looking like a diplomat to a mob boss.
I love when you say "miscellaneous miscellaneous" 🤭
I've been meaning to start up Pleasantview and trying to play like you do. This is super helpful, and great timing, thank you!
Glad I could help! 💙💙
I was so confused about how skylines work, thanks for this video!
I already liked your videos before but when you mentioned making spreadsheets I immediately liked you even more 😂💜
I wish I had this level of commitment
I am so appreciative of the fact that you STILL continue to actively credit me for that spreadsheet ahahahaha
I've been tinkering with a OTH calculator lately
Aww! Hi Shirley! Long time no see! And of course I will always credit you for it! 🤗
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Helps a lot!
Thank you for watching Alona! 💙
I only play wants-based too. It never gets boring that way!
This video was great timing - I've been meaning to get back into a more detailed style of gameplay! I'll be making a copy of that tracking spreadsheet, thanks for sharing it! And I'm looking forward to future Veronaville vids 😉
Love the spreadsheet idea I used to just note everything in my phone 😂😂
That's pretty much how I do it too. I've watched your videos and started doing it then. I also do the Pre FT update as well. It sometimes gives more Benefit points. Love you videos and game play style.
I love how much detail you put into your sims ! I have to join ur discord and share my sims 2 stuff !
So happy to see you back :D Love your channel bc it pushes me to think more deeply about how I can make my games fun/realistic
In my Pleasantview playthrough Cassandra just had her second set of twins with Don (she hasn't learned he's cheating yet), while Mary-Sue just dumped Daniel after catching him cheating for the second time!
I'm trying to incorporate DramatiSim's 10 round way of playing so usually if i do that in a normal hood it would leave 3 more parts (9 more Sim days) to do things with families before I move on to another town.
quite a few of these are great additions to my downloads folder thank you!
I would love to learn how to do a uberhood. It's so complicated.
I never play Uberhoods but I may make one some day just to try it out!
@@PleasantSims yay , please!❤️
Nessa it’s not too difficult, choose the neighbourhood you want as your main and drop it in your downloads folder as shown in this video, then download the sub hood/shopping district versions of the other neighbourhoods and place them in Sims 2 OFB/TSData/Res/NeighbourhoodTemplate ☺️
And you’ll need this mod by Mootilda: www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=420924 it removes the big “add shopping district” etc button which stops the list of neighbourhoods showing up ✌🏻
@@CM-vq4py thanks alot.❤️👍🏾
I aspire to be as organized as you, Cindy 😆
Haha! Thanks Sarah! 💙
4:50 Perfect Landscape🌄❤️🤤
It is LOVELY in Veronaville!
OK, I do a lot of that, never used a spreadsheet to keep track though. Well, didn't before, that is lol.
awesome! the same video idea but with the sims 3 would also be sooo cool!
This is making my head spin a little.
Actually, after watching this I realized I just needed this kind of gameplay to be satisfied so I'm setting up my game now. Thank you for this really!
And I wonder what the colors in the spreadsheet mean? I thought maybe their ages but that didn't apply to everyone either. :(
Consort looks like he have been smoking for ages
HAHA! He really does! 😆
I was thinking Llama... 🙈
Strangetown time for this lemon bread [jazz hand]
Update: It's so funny to me that Vicund has his plant room. I can fit all of my adjusters nice and inconspicuously...
Yep! Hand. Singular.
The site for sim blender is down :(
Thank you so much for showing us how you do it.
Hmmm your version seems to look a lot different than mine.
Is it because I got mine off the Mac store and 2 expansion packs aren’t included?
The super collection? I have that too😄 But she has tons of mods and stuff to make it look different
So thankful for you!
Right back at ya! 💙💙
Pleasant Sims 🥺 thanks! And hey, I made a tax calculator on google sheets using your tax rules. If I post it to the discord (I’m not sure where) would you take a look? I hope it’d be useful for you!
@@tobigrim Of course! You can post it in....general Sims 2 I guess? Lol
Pleasant Sims it’s in there now!
Great vid!
Does this specific clean hood come with none of the bin families (that are usually in every town) or do you have a separate mod to get rid of them?
miss u queen
Amazing! Thank you! :)
Thank you for watching Mystical Fun! 💙 💙
Yes, the hacked computer will maintain an individual bank account for that sim regardless of what household they are in.
I love this ❤️.
Thank you Nessa! 💙💙
*takes notes as a new TS2 player*
Omg, do you have a portable version of these? I’d love ones for pleasant view and belladonna cove?
In another video you recommended a 'fixed' version of Pleasant View (I can't find the video now) and I used it. When I married Don Lothario to Cassandra he moved in- but his old lot still has his name on it and money but there are no playable sims there. Is it a glitch or is the whole thing corrupt?
0_0 need skylines so much now!!
hi the link to simblender doens't work anymore, i saw that you found another one for the ACR, which was also on simbiology. do you happen to have another link to the simblender?
nevermind, i just found it on your mediafire! cant wait to set up my towns!!
I remember once that I was playing and get bored with use the same families so I just pick two random sims in the box and put it together
Such a dream for making this video!
@@PleasantSims It would be amazing!! Thank you so much! :)
