OMG right?! As soon as I saw Cindy uploaded this video today, I KNEW she would give Sims 2 Pleasantview all the love and careful attention to detail it deserves. I am so beyond excited to download this, and uhhh YES please-her version of Strangetown would be a dream come true!
Me too! I considered 113 Wright Way, but I think the other mansion fits in better. I always felt the Mediterranean home was so out of place in Pleasantview.
@@PleasantSims Based on how Sims 4 moved the Goth family into Willow Creek I started agreeing with this because I started thinking maybe Pleasantview is supposed to be in Louisiana or Florida? If it's Florida though you could get away with a few hispanic style homes here and there, but I honestly I really like the Louisiana aesthetic (I'm biased, I live there LOL) and so yes bring on the Victorian
I'm also making a huge savefile with all the old sims, but I'm also including sims from the first game, the second, and third. Plus all ancestors. I spend so much time on the Sims wiki, looking on family trees to make my save as perfect as possible. :D In fact, you inspired me to do this.
That is so BADASS! That kind of attention to detail is right up my alley, so I wish you the very best of luck! Where will it be available when you’re finished? I’d absolutely LOVE to check it out. I’ve been a Sims fan since the first one, so-of course-The Sims 4 is the game I’ve spent the least amount of time playing… and by a LONG shot.
Making a save file of even 1 world takes a lot of work. Pleasant View remade looks cool. It adds a much needed sims 2 flavor. I haven't played sims 4 since a few years. We all know we will have to pretend all the drama in the town becuase of the way the shallow gameplay was designed unlike the sims 2 and 3.
My main takeaway from this is how wild it is that Sims 4 teens basically look like adults, the Sims 2 ones actually look like teens! Nicely done, can't wait to see what you do for Strangetown!
Lately in Sims 2 I've been playing a "pre Strangetown" I found on modthesims as well as a version of "Old Town" from the sims 1 remade. Loving playing the ancestor characters and rewriting their stories.
Ahhh!!! This is exactly what I have wanted since I heard of Sims 4. As soon as I saw the notification, I closed out my Legacy save to download this save file. The perfect rotational save file. Can't wait to start playing.
This is sooo freaking nostalgic thank you for this! The sims 2 has always been my FAVORITE sims hands down! So it’s so cool to see it relived in the Sims 4!
I've been quietly following for some time now, and I always love your attention to lore and detail! As a Strangetown fan, the fact that a real, HONEST to goodness Strangetown might be joining this Pleasantview is so exciting, especially if there's even half this much attention to the details. I'll keep my eyes open for the updates to this world! Thank you for your hard work!
I havent played the sims 4 in a while and i remember how nice everything looked but now looking at it again, its really so beautiful. Stunning looking worlds and neighborhoods, really something i apperacite and miss...
Looks so nice and accurate. I usually remake Windenberg as Veronaville as well as I like setting up all the family drama from that Sims 2 original. Though I do hate how SIms 4 culls the relationships far too quickly as I do rotation play as well and by the time I cycle round, dead relatives are gone and some friendships/rivalry have cooled off or even disappeared. I know MCC can help with that but it effects my slow computer
Sis ❤ I’m SO happy that you finished. I have a similar save already by a person from ModTheSims (they added stuff from other packs too) but I’m down for playing yours too.
Hey Cindy, this is genuinely amazing. The way you have recreated the builds and the relationships is so good. I can only imagine the time that went in to create this. Edit; that you even you even created the background neighbourhood characters, the goths house for the wedding is even better! Cindy this must have taken hours to do.
So glad youre back! Love seeing the stories you create because it is so different from how I play! Just want to say this inspired me to boot sims up again and I used this save file as a jumping off point for my own save. Used gallery to populate Strangetown and started adding in my own families and houses to the rest of the worlds. Thank you for making this!
I appreciate that you were trying to keep it simple so lots of us can play it. Just in case anyone wanted to add them, you can have clothing racks if you have High School Years and delivery drivers for groceries with Cottage Living 😊
ive never played the sims 2, but i love how empty the houses are, it literally is how it is in the sims 2, and the sims themselves are very well made! ^^
this is perfect!! i’ve been wanting to play the sims 4 rotationally for a while and this really got me excited to try it now! i’m looking forward to see how you’ll be making it work now. also, the neighborhood looks great! it must’ve been so much work to put it together! i’m so happy to see you back making sims content, i really missed your videos ❤
Wow!!!!! The attention to detail in this is absolutely insane, AMAZING also 😀 It must have taken you ages!! I'm so glad you're back btw, I have really missed all your videos ❤
I wish we had a way to actually make trailer parks in Sims 4 because I've got several Sims that truly belong in a trailer park and don't do well in regular environments
With for rent expansion you can make a trailerpark if you want. Nancy Landgraab is in my own game a landlord of a lot of rentals. But Don Lotario could do it too when he marries Cassandra and starts to invest in rentals. He quit his job and that gives him a lot of time to whoohoo his female tenants... I see a story there.
Amazing job! I'm in love with 210 Wright Way. I remember having a family live there when I was just a little kid playing the sims 2 and the entire family ended up dying because of reoccurring fires and them being in a terrible mood as a result 😂. Oh, how I miss the chaos of the sims 2
This is amazing 🤩🤩 I've been playing pleasantview in TS2 nonstop lately 😅 I haven't started playing ts4 since I got a new computer but I'll have to buy city living and DL this sometime 🥰🥰
I love the Sims 4 Pleasantview version, this is fantastic! Cindy... I think you out-did yourself! You literally made it super detailed and story driven. This is TS2 Lore nostalgia in a TS4 style! Lots of people play different Sims games (1-4) and you have a way to connect them all. I can't even imagine how much time it took you to re-create this, but super happy to see your perspective, play style and website for guides and inspiration. Thank you for sharing your creativity and your passion for the game!
I've been super drawn to your rotational gameplay style since I found your channel, so I just downloaded the save file!! Super excited to try it out :)
I love it Cindy!! In terms of lots to add, I’d love to see a cemetery, bar, orphanage, jail, etc. to try and make Sims 4 a little more like Sims 2 😉 If you’re open to adding more packs in the future, I’d love to have a pet store, restaurants, rec center (could be generic), and apartment lots!
Cindy!! 😍😍 the details!!! I’m totally invested in this lol the sims 4 as it should’ve been!! I’m wondering if you could squeeze in making ancestors after the strangetown remake is done, since you might want to make all Ophelia’s ..ahem, totally not sus graveyard 😂 I’m going to have to pay this save file ❤️
I hope you haven't had any problems with the mods that have Malware in them. Twisted Mexi has put out a mod that helps find them. Thanks for the tips on getting your town ready for a save file. I suspect that may have been the cause for most of the lag simmers have been having--that is in the last couple of months.
Thanks Cindy, this is fantastic! Pleasantview has always been my favorite town to play in and so this is going to be so much fun. Looking forward to seeing your other videos on how you plan on playing this and incorporating mods and things to make it more 'exciting' for the sims 4 type of gameplay. Would love for you to build that bar so we could download it and put it down where you suggested!
Cindy this is awesome youve outdone yourself!! ❤ May i ask how you went about doing this? Ive always wanted to remake some of the console neighborhoods of earlier games but have always been curious about the most efficient way people do all of this, like do you load up both games at once on different pcs, memorize the lots, ir is there another method?
I loaded both games on my PC. I have two monitors. So I have Sims 2 running on one side and Sims 4 running on the other. I'd do the same with an emulator for the console games to remake them. It's so much easier to have both games open at once. It that wasn't possible, I would open the old game and take screenshots from all angles to guide my builds in the new game. Hope that helps!
I saw this at your Pleasant Streams channel but had to rewatch so i can sit here enjoying the nostalgia lol. I really dont enjoy the Sims 4 at all but this might just make me reinstall it and give it another try lol.
Wow, you did such a great job! I get these nostalgia shivers just looking at the houses ❤ but damn does it show just how empty the Sims 4 base game is ... Like you need two expansion packs just to make this work and there still isn't even a damn dart board for the Dreamers
This is so nostalgic for me! 🥲 love it! I’d lose my mind if you made Veronaville in Windenburg eventually 😍 I loved playing the Capps and Monty storylines!
As an avid fan of Sims 2, thank you so much for adding life into the Sims 4 universe. This is soooo good! If I had a tail, it'd be wagging especially when I saw Brandi's trailer park. 🤩 If only it had the detailed nuances of Sims 2 that we all love. Sims 2 is the only game I play these days, sad I wasted $1k on Sims 4. *sigh*
I started playing ts2 with your spreadsheets and rotationally (you are gorgeous!!) and I was playing Pleasantview my way with a sprinkle of my mentality (for example: once I made the Pleasants live with Kaylynn and WATCH THEM making out etc and not getting divorced because they’re broke af) and my husband asked my why am I making notes on a laptop and I told him and showed me Cassandra being left at the altar and he was shocked like I was cruel to my sims 😂
Interesting how seeing the sims 2 builds on sims 4 really brought me back. It's such a unique style Can't wait to see bluewater village. I wonder if Desiderata valley is in your future plans aswell? This took a long time to do i'm sure so thank you
This looks really cool, never played The Sims 2 before but excited to give this a go. May I recommend 20th Century Plumbob's default map replacements to make the maps look a little more full and alive in the menu's. Believe their updated for the most regular expansions aswell!
Wow Cindy your attention to detail in this one save is more than the entire sims team has put into the Sims 4 with every pack combined 😍
