Monarch Butterflies Eclosing

I filmed 2 monarch butterflies eclosing (emerging from the chrysalis) in real time. The process takes approximately 5-10 minutes to emerge and pump fluid into their wings. They then hang to dry their wings for up to a couple of hours before being able to fly away.
